This is ironic because im taking my test in January and my family kept telling me it was the worst time to take my test . You have made me less worried , thank you
You got this! You're going to do awesome my friend. There are a LOT of misconceptions around driving. So many people are TERRIFIED of driving on ice and snow. Drop us a note if you have questions, or we can help out. All the best, Cheers Rick
Good luck!
@@smartdrivetest Hey Rick!! I took my test today and passed first try! Thank you so much. Your videos were a huge help to my success.
This is another word of advice which I needed to hear, I'm relieved about this because my next exam will be in the winter time and I'm hoping that I'll be successful and pass.
I remember my aunt was nervous for me taking driving lessons in the middle of winter time, I told her whether I'm a beginner or not for driving I'm going to be dealing with winter conditions while driving.
I passed my road test today 1take . I’m so happy that I watch this video . Thank u so much 😊
Thank you for that information Rick
You are so welcome! All the best, Cheers Rick
😂 I agree the test in the winter is easier. I am going to do it, in the winter now.
That's great news my friend. See the video up at the top to get all the techniques and skills you need to be successful. All the very best, Cheers Rick
Hi thanks for your videos ❤
You are so welcome! All the best, Cheers Rick
Good to know. It actually makes a lot of sense ! Thanks
Glad it was helpful! Drop us a note if you have questions. Cheers Rick
@@smartdrivetest Hey, I have a question. On my driver’s test, should I make a right turn (if safe and no sign saying no turn) at a red light intersection or should I just wait for the sake of the exam ? Can I lose points for waiting ? Thanks
If it's busy you can wait. If it's not busy, you should turn after giving way to all other road users. See this vid: ruclips.net/video/9QtZD0LDhls/видео.html Drop us a note if we can help further. Cheers Rick
Can you make a video of what you need to get your license when you move from Ontario to Alberta please alot of people are running away from Ontario to have better life in Alberta
Wish this guy was my driver teacher 😢
God so many people don’t know how to drive in the winter. Everyone goes way to fast and they brake hard which leads to sliding and they accurate to hard which leads to loss of traction. Most people think because they have winter tires and 4 wheel drive their good to go but you still need to master the skills of winter driving one of them would be to slow down.
Which is why American drivers ed should teach you how to drive in slippery conditions, like in Finland.
I took my C license test in the winter, wasn't so bad since it was in a large city with decently maintained roads.
Still kinda terrified how it's gonna go when i have to drive a 28 metric ton truck in a snowstorm or something.
You're going to find my friend, that the bigger the vehicle, the easier it is to drive in the winter. More weight equals more traction. Slow down in a straight line and go slow around corners, curves and turns and you'll be just fine. All the best, Cheers Rick

Hey Rick, I have my drivers test coming up and we just got a pile of snow where I live and was wondering how fast examiners expect you to drive in not ideal conditions regarding speed? I think it makes sense to drive a little slower than the speed limit but not 100% sure what they are looking for. Thank you for all the tips.
@@chasekjemhus521 see this vid: ruclips.net/video/lrtLqbYzVeU/видео.html For the most part the main roads will be clear; but as you get into the residential areas, there will be more snow on the roads. Yes, you can drive slower, but more important is driving to the conditions of the road. Good luck on you test. Drop back and let us know how it goes. All the best, Cheers Rick
Hey Rick. Just wanted to say it went well and many of your tips you shared on the RUclips channel has helped me get my license and become a better driver. Thank you for all the help.
@@chasekjemhus521 - that's awesome news my friend. Thanks for dropping back and letting us know. All the very best, Cheers Rick
Hi Rick, question do you happen to know any places near the Vancouver, BC area that I can rent the one meter pylons for slow speed maneuver practice?
Thanks
Any industrial rental shop should have those 1M tall delineators my friend. Sunbelt is one company that I know off the top of my head. All the best, Cheers Rick
Hello! I'm writing today from Arkansas.
Any recommendations on regaining confidence after failing your driving test the first time? Failed on the 6th and have my retake booked for the 22nd. (Wish me luck!!)

So will this still work for people who are in Los Angeles since it doesn’t snow out here?
It still works my friend. People in CA are busy with school and mid-terms. They postpone their drivers test until the summer because they're concentrating on school and getting a job and other things that happen in the winter. Drop us a note if you have further questions. Cheers Rick
how about the speed control in winter time driving during the test ?
Check out this video: ruclips.net/video/BPpRKeheX00/видео.html&ab_channel=SmartDriveTest It's important to drive to the conditions of the road. so if the roads are icy or snowy, make sure to drive whichever speed you feel is safest. Cheers.
