Thank you very much for the update as we just purchased this set based on your two year review!
Thanks for doing this update dedicated to the dryer. I was hoping to hear more about how long the loads take and how well they dry, but it’s good you’re 2 years in and like it. Agonized over this purchase & just got it delivered today. LG previously had all kinds of problems, then went to Maytag. Drum separated & by the time they replaced it. I think the whole cabinet was damaged. Until then though it had high heat that worked.
I was wary of Samsung & hoping for the best. Seems like nothing out there has great reviews. Not like the old school machines that were problem free & lasted 20 yrs. We had problems within a year of both the priors.
Btw, watched your older videos & totally agree about the front load washers. I keep our top load open to dry as well. 👍
You have this dryer? How do you like it? I just got this one also. Kind of hate it. Have done a few loads & things take forever to dry. My bedding dried for over an hour & was still very damp. My old dryer would have them dry in 55 minutes. Wishing I kept my old dryer😅
@@noelleo9352 Yes. We’re happy with it.
@@Missyrocks53 UPDATE. I literally think we jinxed this dryer by my writing this just now. I just wrote we are happy and found clothes that completely aren’t drying. No heat at all. We had a re-roof & the exhaust fan was clogged and had to be cleaned out. I thought the dryer seemed to not be drying as efficiently immediately following that. But it went to completely not heating AT ALL a day ago after I posted this. Spoke to someone who does dryers and thinks the heating element needs to be replaced, which would be crazy after having it only 4 months.
@@noelleo9352 I’m not so sure now! I thought I was replying to you but it was to myself. I jinxed it! Will see if it’s related to the re-roof clogging up the vent or not.
@@emojicat1251 omg noooo 😭😭 I’m so sorry! I hope the warranty covers it!!! Seems things aren’t made well like they used to be!
Thx for doing this video. I purchased the washer in February & waiting on the matching dryer in platinum to be delivered today. I absolutely love my washer, even though, I haven't been able to figure out how to link it to my phone as it states you can do. It's a big deal without being a big deal. In other words, it wasn't a deal breaker that I couldn't link it. I can't wait to see how the dryer works.
I have this exact set and im having problems with the heater, i replaced the entire heater core and it worked again for a couple days now its not heating up again
“Thank You!” This is good make sense information.
Is the dryer hinged on the left side or right and can it be changed
Is this the large capacity
I bought the model in the video... 1 years use... already having to be repaired due to 'lint' build up IN THE MACHINE cause the filter doesn't catch it all and you can't get in it to clean it.
Why did you go back with a Samsung
Have you used the self clean on your washer
Hey yes thanks for the update so you got it fix ? And it’s still working probably? Did have Protection plan when the spiny part broke in your last video .I got bought can’t wait heard dryer and washer are great by same just something bring error certain parts brake inside them.
I started a laundry service from my home and I’m looking at these as my new set, how do you think these would hold up!
We do a lot of laundry - so far so good
Will you ever try and dry something on the dryer so the poeple can hear what to expect as far as loud it can be or will it a silent dryer, can't be completely silent but some are more than others, just a thought you might want to consider... thanks for the info though 👍
Thank you for the update.
How do you turn off the annoying end of cycle chime?
I have the same set and my dryer is shaking badly like it's off balance I can't seem to find any videos on it
Make sure it's on a hard surface, level your dryer bro left to right; level, front to back; level. Also I believe there is a calibration mode just like the washer not sure still installing mine. I'll check the manual and comment in a bit. Other than that good luck man, happy holidays.
We just ordered this and it arrives on Monday. My question is how do you get the dryer to have stream. I know its a setting, but does it hook to the washer for water?
It uses a steam kit for dryers sold at lowes/home depot. yes it connects to the water outlet used by washer
Did you repair it? Asking from the previous video you had some issues and had taken top apart
I’d like to know I have new set and get a heads up
I was going to repair it - but the damage was too significant to make it worth it.
These are not commercial dryers. Lets say you load to the max load in your washer. now you think oh i can just fill my dryer up.. wrong. it has a max. do not fill it over half way. it doesn't matter about the door size opening. what matters is the clothes or whatever your drying.. Need air and room to breath in the dryer. one vent supplies the hot air the other takes it away. leave enough room so your not over packing it. which is why it takes more time to dry. or if you have never had the vent line cleaned professionally.
One thing all home owners need to understand is. if the machine is getting used at least 5 times a week. it's washing almost 240 loads a year. Now your dryer is 3 years old. that's 720 cycles. it's not designed for that. it's not a commercial dryer. Dryer manufactures are thinking it's only going to be used 1-3 x a week.
Here's the other factor that most home owners don't know.
(If Gas) Carbon monoxide goes out the dryer vent. if it get plugged.. The carbon monoxide will come back in the house through the dryer, It needs to escape out the dryer vent to outside.
If you have any white flex piping .. Replace it. it's not safe and can melt. if the dryer is drying more than 5-8 loads a week have real dryer service person clean it out. the whole vent and the vent inside the dyer and the lint trap and inside the dryer. that's where most fires start. because if backed up the lint has no where to go.
This makes the MOST SENSE I've read so far. I have had my front loader for 13 yrs and the other day the spin cycle started vibrating so bad that we thought someone was breaking in the house and our dryer isnt really drying like it used to. I am going to replace it now but we wash maybe 2 loads a week. Do you think this set is good for me?
@@cleopatrajones2024 I wouldn't buy any brands that are making phones. Stick with old school, Maytag, whirlpool,
If your only doing that many you should be fine. I would also go for electric over gas. I would have a professional dryer vent cleaning service before you get the dryer installed and set up. That way nothing is blocking your new dryer from venting to outside and that way the new dryer doesn't get dirty from dirty vents. Remember if the air and lint cannot escape out the vent outside, it will recirculate back into the new dryer. Please try not to let them install flex pipe as well.
Hope that helps.
@@minnesotadryerventguys thank you so much
Be sure to make a new video when that thing fails.
Do your sheets get wadded up while drying?
Nope :)
Have you ran into DC code
Have not yet :)
Found that missing sock, left side on the floor (black) just laying here. 🤣
This didn’t age well
Repeat everything twice ? And wear shoes when you record a video,, lol...
