The first season of the American superhero television series The Boys, the first series in the franchise based on the comic book series of the same name written by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, was developed for television by American writer and television producer Eric Kripke. The season was produced by Sony Pictures Television in association with Point Grey Pictures, Original Film, Kripke Enterprises, Kickstart Entertainment and KFL Nightsky Productions.
The show's second season stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Kapon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie and Aya Cash. The story continues the conflict between the two groups with the eponymous Boys, now with the aid of Starlight continuing their efforts to defeat Vought despite being wanted by the government. The conflict is worsened when Butcher learns that Becca is still alive and she is being held captive by Vought with a superpowered son fathered by Homelander. Stormfront, a new superhero with a secret past, joins the Seven and subtly promotes her message throughout the world, with the hopes of convincing an unwitting Homelander to lead Supes to world domination.

Shame you guys haven't seen Supernatural. As a huge fan of Jensen I was over the moon when they announced him being in the show. And boy did he not disappoint.
Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy stole the show this season. In just one season he became a top 3 character in the series for me.
ABSOLUTELY. We didn't think anyone could top Anthony Starr acting, but Jensen Ackles stole the show this season imo

Ackles performance is not even in the top 3 of the season. There's a difference between a character being well introduced, instantly stealing the show, and acting. Ackles performance is nowhere near that of Anthony Starr or Karl Urban; even Laz Alonso had better acting. Anthony Starr's mirror scene alone puts him leagues ahead of anyone in this show. If I had to rank the actors in this show for their performances, it would be: 1. Anthony Starr (10/10), 2. Karl Urban (9.5/10), 3. Jack Quaid (8.5/10), and everyone else pretty much 7.5 to 8/10. And only ranking and rating S3 then: 1. Anthony Starr (10/10), 2. Karl Urban (9.5/10), 3. Laz Alonso (8.5/10), 4. Jensen Ackles (8.5/10) and everyone else 7.5 to 8/10.

Soilder-boy is just cool AF and we all secretly wanna be him 😂
The casting for young Mallory and young Edgar was absolutely A+, Mallory in her appearance, and Edgar in his ability to mimic Giancarlo's mannerisms and speech.
I always love this episode with Ryan. At the beginning he could smell the V in Butcher and possibly hear his heart rate. At the end of the episode, he had a moment of surprise when Butcher is stronger than he expects him to be, and he can't stop him.
Gotta go with you on this one and say smells the V. Ryan at this age seems to be figuring a lot out so far.

I love how good the CGI is on the octopus. They really went out of their way to make that look great.

Jensen Ackles performance as Soldier Boy might honestly be up there as one of his best performances, though him as Dean on Supernatural is still probably his best role
He was Red Hood in the animated series.
Soldier Boy is easily my favourite character in this show, NEVER a dull moment when he’s on screen

My take on it has been that when starlight balls up her fist behind her back she is doing it to get through the pain, like biting down on a stick. We only ever see it when we know she’s in pain but has to somehow get through what’s happening.

I love that Jensen Ackles was brought on board. Huge Supernatural fan and he was my favorite character. He’s the embodiment of alpha male in pretty much every role😆
Hearing Dean drop F bombs and make crude jokes made me giggle like schoolgirl.
Kripke gave us (in this show) Bobby and Dean... Wonder if the others would make a little appearance anytime soon (I'm a fan too)

Swatt-o was actually added to the show because im the first season the set always had flys, and yes thats why you saw alot of them over the seasons, many comic book fans of the boys thought it was a major hidden plot that would bring in swatt-o, in reality it was just alot of flies, i think it was filmed in atlanta, could be wrong.

I will always love watching the Deep suffer after what he did to Starlight.
When it comes to Butcher self sabotaging and saying that horrible thing to Ryan, I put a good chunk of blame on Mallory. Only bc she knows Billy well enough to know that telling him he is his dad will set him off.
Especially after seeing how good he has been at checking in on Ryan only to undermine months of progress. Billy is still a screwed up fuck who should have never said that, but she pressed the exact button that would immediately shift him back to his old ways.
Plus what Billy was saying to her about telling him earlier was right.
