Yeah when he criticized Hughie not being frantic with his Dad in the A-train scene, it neglects the hardened growth Hughie went through by that point. S1E1 Hughie would probably react like that, but that episode Hughie was a changed man
Not having Stormfront and Soldier Boy on this list is weird considering they carried their seasons. Also Antony, Aya and Jensen are the only actors to have received awards for their roles which pretty much answers the top tier category lol.
Hughie not showing fear or desperate emotion is the whole point. He always thinks he's weak, especially you can see it in season 3. So he is trying his best to be brave and it was so good seeing someone who never blackmailed or manipulated someone actually succeeding at it (remember the part with Ezekiel or A-train), him standing up against Homelander when he was laughing at Starlight. Jack nailed this character so good. Amazing expressions, voice,, everything. Deserves an Amazing tier

When good actors are acting they aren’t moving their eyebrows or quivering their lips on purpose. Acting isn’t thinking about it and actively deciding to do it, they are truly showing emotion. I do agree with a lot of these points on certain actors, but it also comes down to direction. When you said that butcher should have gotten in their faces a bit more in the supe victim meeting, it’s not like Karl is just deciding exactly how butcher is supposed to be. Sure, he’s the actor and he definitely puts his own spin on things, but the director gets the final say, and brings things like that up if it’s an issue.
I love ur comment I LIVE for this stuff, and yes I agree the director does have a lot of sway. I make suggestions more in the context of the SCENE and just in my opinion butcher would have had a more effective scene w more exaggeration (a pattern I tend to see that lacks), and yes acting for THEM isn’t about thinking but we can point to the elements that make their acting great etc…
I guess what I mean with the first half is that they do probably have certain key acting techniques of what they want to do, but actors aren’t thinking as themselves during the scene. In the scene, Antony Starr isn’t Antony Star, he’s homelander, and so he isn’t thinking “oh let me activate that lip quiver real quick” because that breaks character

You’re confusing acting choices with acting capability. Just because an actor’s not emoting a certain way, that doesn’t mean they’re incapable of doing it. They’ve decided it’s not true to the character. If they made the choices you suggested, THAT would be over the top, out of character, bad acting.

Definitely doesn't deserve the 1300 dislikes, you can tell a lot of the people in the comments are toxic fanboys of the show. Btw, could you review Peter Capaldi's acting in Doctor Who? Especially his scenes from The Zygon Inversion and Heavent Sent episodes? He's a phenomenal actor which makes him my favorite Doctor overall

This list is pretty rough. I don't agree with a lot of points and the way you measure it all is just not it. Plus, using a CW show as an example of good acting? ...Yikes
You know, the main problem I see with your judgement is that it seems that you have more problems with the directing of the scenes than the acting, but still putting the "blame" on them? It doesn't seem fair to me. You still make some good points, but I feel like you're just being excessively critical for some of this actors
Hmmm thank you for ur input, can u point specific points out? ALWAYS looking to improve, I feel like I was DEFO fair in most, I mainly criticized acting and if the character didn’t report emotion how the SCENE deserved it etc
good video, it shows you put effort on it, but the clickbaiting thing with anthony having a “6/10” just to fish some views is a lil weird bruh, if you keep putting these effort and charisma you shouldnt be doing it
The thing is with hughie being compared to grant gustin in that scene is that zoom was a completely evil monster who killed without any emotion or motive, he hurt people for fun and barry knew that. He knew in that instant that his dad was dead so the only thing he could do was plead for his life. A train has a conscience, its not a strong one but he isnt evil, he’s just a celebrity who happens to have powers that could end people if he chooses. Hughies’ dad could potentially get hurt or killed if he doesn’t leave but if push comes to shove, it isn’t A trains style to just kill an innocent man without a strong motive, he didn’t have to plead for his dads life he just wanted him to be in a safer environment. That worry is understandable, especially from someone thats trying to act brave in front of his enemy and act strong in front of his dad, barry had gone past that point and was just desperate and powerless to save his dad, all he could do in that moment was beg.
@@KoshoReactsnot a "Lil "difference .one was literally held at knife point while in the other case A train wasn't even trying to kill his dad. And also puttin laz alonso in "average" is criminal.Hope u can understand
I disagree with the M.M. part, it is in his character to be calm and reserved. He is responsible and cautious of his own actions due to his ocd, he never wanted to hurt Todd and stayed civil. When he did punch him it was more of a jerk reaction. That being said I do agree that his facial expressions can have some improvement.

Considering Jensen Ackles was Emmy worthy (ie. Oscar Worthy) and carried season 3 is weird that he’s not mentioned here. Also shoutout to Stormfront. Should be on here (maybe not Oscar worthy but still great)
hughie not expressing fear is because he was confident in his plan. dumb point considering the character isn't scared so why should the actor portray fear
Elizabeth Shue is a veteran and she is extraordinary. Well deserved Oscar category. But I'll argue about The Deep, Chace is definitely in Amazing category. And now with season 4 is even more clear. I'll argue that Usher is above Erin as an actor, so I'll put him second in Good category (after Jack but definitely before Erin).
Given the context of A-Train being addicted to the Compound V and not being able to get it or something his kind of lighter tone in that scene with Hughie kind adds to the like unhinged withdrawal vibe he would have
7:03 Can we talk about how the fuck you somehow managed to make the subscribe button have a colored outline right as you were talking about subscribing?
I love jack quaid acting. He does the "average guy surronded with special people" acting so so well. He is like the only normal person in the show. He is going from this sheltered, trampled over guy like his dad to a real tough guy slowly but surely Also the moment you noted: I dont think hughie was scared in that moment, he was just worried and didnt want him to be here, but hughie was in control, he knew what to do, he had no reason to be scared.
I do think that Chace Crawford (The Deep) deserves a much higher rank! His scenes always get me and Im constantly wainting for more of it. To make it quick: he is phenomenal at showing pain and suffering. Yes, he is a comedy relief, however, only because we enjoy seeing an unlikable character suffering through a lot. The scene in which he must eat the octopus or (S4 spoiler) when he kills his "girlfriend". It is done SO well! I would have at least given him an Amazing if not Oscar winning, but that is just my opinion
I think Jack Quaide is the worst actor. He always gives some insincere smiles at people he loves, that if a person irl gave me I would think he is faking it and doesnt love me. I think he is probably plenty talented guy, but immature or something
Almost like the actors are acting like their characters...? also "batcher", "hughee"... c'mon man. Feels like you read into it way too hard and got it wrong plenty of times, makes you seem like you think you know what you're on about, but don't actually have a clue.
12:30 Maeve does not move nc she is super strong and cannot act on her emotions. She is afraid of hurting someone, thats why she is stiff. I think thats actually great acting
This dude doesn't know what he is talking about, Jack Quaid should be in amazing at least. You're not considering the type of characters they are playing and you are not judging based on established metrics. You sometimes mention a book but never say which one it is, so we don't know if it is reputable source or not.
Mate if you want to grow as a channel you need to improve your presentation. You need to cut out those shots of you reacting to the old clips--they absolutely add nothing to the video and are kind of narcissistic and annoying. Second, we don't need to see all the stuff in your room. Clean up the table and the background so we can focus on the analysis and not all the distracting objects here and there. Also, you need better lighting.
In season 1, episode 8 of For All Mankind Shantel VanSanten gave what I thought was one of the best performances of the season. And I don't mean the show's season - I mean that year's television season.
The problem with Maeve is that she is was given terrible lines. Her every sentence is some shitty one liner that is meant to be like big words, but just sounds cheesy. I Felt bad for the actress
It seems like you don't appreciate subtle emotions- it's most apparent in your comparison of Huey and the Flash. Never having seen the Flash, that dude was overacting
I appreciate ur input thank YOU ❤️ WITH that being said tho, in the SAME hughie comparison I praised him in the beginning for his sad scenes, w the eye twitching etc, I defo do appreciate subtle emotions BUT I just think WHEN he tried to show off aggressive scenes they landed flat :)
this video analyses the actors' acting well tbh. BUT it just doesn't factor in the story/context clues the actors are getting. It generalizes how a scene should have been acted and just goes with it. good watch, nonetheless.
Erin’s bad acting is not because of her ability, its because of the botox, her face looks like its gonna break if she smiles. Not surprised her best acting was in season 1 and one of her worst is in the later seasons

Pretty good video man. I don't agree with your entire list but you made some good points I agree with.
My man Kosho is reviewing peak now! Let's go!!! 👏🏾
Such a PHENOMENAL SHOW omg! What’d u think about season 4
@@KoshoReacts Haven't fully watched it yet, but it's looking promising. If I had to choose a season, it would probably be S2, or 3.
Yea season 2 was SO good imo rlly insane story arc
I think due to the recent season MM and Frenchie should be Atleast 1 tier higher they’ve definitely kicked it up a notch
Lmao, what a terrible video.
homie you are the biggest NPC on youtube, you should rename your channel to :KoshoTheNPC_Reacts. Also who are you to judge these actors? Ive never seen your face before
I think chace Crawford deserves the amazing. He literally carries the whole show comedy
Billy Butcher and HomeLander are Oscar Worthy Gods
sending hate from New Zealand 🫶
This list is pretty rough. I don't agree with a lot of points and the way you measure it all is just not it. Plus, using a CW show as an example of good acting? ...Yikes
😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️
„Hewgie“ 😭
You know, the main problem I see with your judgement is that it seems that you have more problems with the directing of the scenes than the acting, but still putting the "blame" on them? It doesn't seem fair to me. You still make some good points, but I feel like you're just being excessively critical for some of this actors
Hmmm thank you for ur input, can u point specific points out? ALWAYS looking to improve, I feel like I was DEFO fair in most, I mainly criticized acting and if the character didn’t report emotion how the SCENE deserved it etc
you literally pronounced like every name you possibly could wrong 😂😂😂
good video, it shows you put effort on it, but the clickbaiting thing with anthony having a “6/10” just to fish some views is a lil weird bruh, if you keep putting these effort and charisma you shouldnt be doing it
You should rate Hughie's dad for part 2. The actor def did a oscar level performance in his last moments imo.
Antony Starr is so good because he ain't acting
Definitely need a part 2 of this. Im sure you'll have fun analyzing storm front, Mesmer, and hopefully you talk about season 4 too
Hahaha appreciate it, HUGE vid about the bots coming soon and will defo cover season 4 soon!!
How can butchers terrible accent not get addressed, I literally thought he was Australian
14:58 ones dad is actually being held hostage while the others dad can jus walk away. There’s a huge difference
Ehhh not rlly, he wasn’t rlly just walking away a train had him there for a reason, but yes still a lil difference
@@KoshoReactsnot a "Lil "difference .one was literally held at knife point while in the other case A train wasn't even trying to kill his dad. And also puttin laz alonso in "average" is criminal.Hope u can understand
Muah
I disagree with the M.M. part, it is in his character to be calm and reserved. He is responsible and cautious of his own actions due to his ocd, he never wanted to hurt Todd and stayed civil. When he did punch him it was more of a jerk reaction. That being said I do agree that his facial expressions can have some improvement.
Nah Chace Crawford as Deep is so damn good its like hes so immersed in the character its exactly what the deep would behave
The crazy thing is that I never really paid attention to this. You being able to notice all these little details is absolutely stunning
Hahah thank you that means a lot ❤❤
Can you do this with Breaking Bad? I know it's not your type of genre but that''d be an awesome video.
DONT EVEN WORRYY! I have a 5 page doc ready for it 🔥 just tryna finish some vids on the boys since its finale just came out. But if you’d like to give ur input on any specific parts/actors I’d love to hear 🤝
Considering Jensen Ackles was Emmy worthy (ie. Oscar Worthy) and carried season 3 is weird that he’s not mentioned here. Also shoutout to Stormfront. Should be on here (maybe not Oscar worthy but still great)
I think butcher is the main character
Everything wrong with your analysis, sorry
hughie not expressing fear is because he was confident in his plan. dumb point considering the character isn't scared so why should the actor portray fear
W bae
muah
Elizabeth Shue is a veteran and she is extraordinary. Well deserved Oscar category.
But I'll argue about The Deep, Chace is definitely in Amazing category. And now with season 4 is even more clear.
I'll argue that Usher is above Erin as an actor, so I'll put him second in Good category (after Jack but definitely before Erin).
Given the context of A-Train being addicted to the Compound V and not being able to get it or something his kind of lighter tone in that scene with Hughie kind adds to the like unhinged withdrawal vibe he would have
bro please never cook again 🙏
7:03 Can we talk about how the fuck you somehow managed to make the subscribe button have a colored outline right as you were talking about subscribing?
7:47 amazing 🦅🦅🦅 acting skills
Where black noir
I love jack quaid acting. He does the "average guy surronded with special people" acting so so well. He is like the only normal person in the show. He is going from this sheltered, trampled over guy like his dad to a real tough guy slowly but surely
Also the moment you noted: I dont think hughie was scared in that moment, he was just worried and didnt want him to be here, but hughie was in control, he knew what to do, he had no reason to be scared.
No way you put MM in the average category. He deserves to be in tge good category
WHERES MY BOY SOLDIER BOY
yap yap yap
I think you should've put the Lenny stuff in the Karl Urban stuff. That was great
Antony in s4e4 was insanely good aswell
OMG YES, making a full vid on why 4x4 was the BEST episode yet.
Naw you did mm dirty
4:25 THATS EXACTLY WHAT IVE BEEN THINKING, THEYRE THE SAME PERSON!
LMAOOO W REFERENCE
Wait wait wait...7:27?! I mean, woudln't we all😂
...and again at 8:39😭
LMAOOOO
STOP BRUH
Not surprised her best acting was in season 1 and one of her worst is in the later seasons
the worst scene in whole the boys is frenchie kissing that black guy😭😭😭😭
bro is one of those guys who talks with such confidence about shit he knows nothing about. gotta admire it walking this planet with such ignorance!
why you pronouncing hughie that way? Did you now watch the show where his name is being pronouned very clearly multiple times?
I also can review actor performances and have watched shows. How does this make your opinions more valid than anyone else’s?
