@@Spynmaster both underrated shows. You know you're a real iron man fan if you know about those shows and isn't just a bandwagon from the mcu.
Personally, the armored adventure rings were cooler.
It’s why I was excited to watch this video. I’ve binged watched all of iron man armored adventures in one sitting and is one of my top 5 cartoons. Up there with spectacular spiderman and tron uprising
I’ve loved watching that show before I even watched a single mcu movie. I wasn’t allowed to watch iron man when it can our because I was kinda young and I wished I could have saw the first avengers movie in the theater but my parents were too strict to let me
The fact Robert Downey left the Iron Man role and they never did a proper Mandarin movie is criminal.

Fits way better for Mandarin to face another Chinese dude. Just like it fit more for Tony Stark/Iron Man, a master at creating weapons and technology, to create Ultron instead of Hank Pym/Ant-Man.

Maybe he's arrogant to a fault, just like Doctor Doom. I mean, it's ridiculous. These guy's are hella powerful and their arrogance makes sure they'll still lose! Because... plot.

His arrogance and over use of some rings and under use of others are usually his downfall.
Imagine having 11 years of RDJ as Ol' Shell-Head, and yet, we never got to see him fight his arch enemy on the big screen...

Instead we got a combination of crimson Dynamo and whiplash, mallen with a different name, iron monger too early, ghost who fought Ant-Man and wasp instead, a fake out Mandarin, Justin hammer who just disappeared, a poster of Fing fang foom, and the actual Mandarin fighting Shang chi instead

his arch enemy was thanos, his opasite, his nightmare, his fear was thanos that's why tony did all of these things after the 1st avengers movie, and yes i too hoped sooooooo much to see tony go head to head with the real mandarin but i think that thanos fits more than the mandarin i feel like they were both a huge impact on tony's life and choices but thanos gave him that warning that vision that when thanos came it was the "endgame" that he was talking about and same with thanos he also knew of tony's existence and was threatened by him that's why in infinity war when he fought tony he actully tried and wanted to kill him because of what he can do when thanos got the stones he didn't used them to easily get rid of everyone who was on titan no he was toying with them but with tony he did not hestate to kill him, he went as far as droping an entire plant on his head.
Mandarin was depicted well in Iron Man Armoured adventures. His armour design was cool.
Just think. Iron man has a villain that's a dragon, a Dragon lol

The DORUK: I love Mandarin, but what has he actually accomplished? He pales in comparison to Kingpin or Dr. Doom... heck... even Moleman has made more amazing accomplishments.
@@professormarvel6678 that's mostly to do with the fact that iron man comics for the longest used to be pretty lame and poorly written. The character himself though is a complete badass and deserves some more respect from marvel.
Hopefully the movie does well and that boosts Mandarin into an A list villain or maybe even a hero to a degree.

The "bracelets" that the mandarin wears in the shang chi trailer remind me of the similar ones from that fight scene in kung fu hustle. I hope it was an inspiration!
I am a huge fan of your channel from India. Because of you guys I started reading comics years ago. I would love to see some videos about the Valiant Universe especially from 2012 reboot like Harbinger Wars, etc.
They did him dirty in Iron Man 3. But hopefully Shang-Chi does justice to him. The Mandarin is not to be trifled with.

What they did to Mandarin in IM 3 and the way they treated the armor in that movie is the reason why I always liked IM 2 better than 3!

Well he's appearing in the Shang-Chi movie, as the villain, and also the father of the main character, a big deviation from the comics.

They made two Spidey villains's stories tied to Iron Man, now Tony's nemesis is made into Shang Chi's either father or someone related and his villain... fairly balanced.

I remember them from the 90’s Iron Man cartoon series but I was never intrigued by their sheer power and versatility. I also love how they are just as versatile as the Infinity Stones but they are not too powerful to on their level.
I remember how they up-ed his powers in “IronMan Armored Adventures!!!
I wished they used this version in the movies, he was almost a half avenger at the end of the series saying “you where right mother. Maybe I’m not meant to rule the world, but meant to protect it”.
If they really wanted a good guy to wield the ten rings, they could of looked to this show for inspiration.
I even wanted to see him duking it out with Thanos. The infinity stones where ancient, but so where the rings, forged in the first star!
Since all his rings got stronger with each on collected, he basically could have been an “infinity gauntlet counter-weapon”, which I feel was wasted potential!

The only version of the mandarin I didn’t find goofy was the Ironman armored adventures one, but that’s because he was stupid edgy.

When it comes to weapons can you talk about Blade’s sword? It seems soo cool!
I think they are great in the comics but I don't know how adaptable they will be for the screen. The infinity gems were primordial essences of the universe and those big themes work really well in cinema. But these rings seem a bit 'gimmicky' for lack of a better word. I just think that it's overkill and would come across a bit try hard and unimaginative.
I'm watching this video after watching Shang-chi, legend of the ten rings last night. I enjoyed the movie but thought to myself, this is not how I remember the Mandarin or the rings. Today I am refreshing my memory of what was before the MCU. I would love to hear your thoughts on the MCU version and comparison.

Now talk about what The Mandarin himself can do apart from the rings: he's a superhuman master of chi-mysiticism capable of going years without food or water by livingon stored chi, amping his strength enough to go hand-to-hand with Iron Man's armor, and even damage that armor with his bare hands. He's also brilliant at business, war, and political subterfuge. And he's possibly the richest villain on earth, owning over, irrc, 600 companies. In short, even without the rings he'd be an incredible badass.
