I was totally convinced that i was going to get silver m3 pro but i thought why not give the space black a chance. So yesterday i upgraded from my 2015 intel macbook pro. All i can say is WOW got the 14 inch m3 pro in space black is just gorgeous best colour ever from Apple. So happy that i went with space black.

Went from a 2007 pro, to a 2013 air, and just got my 14' Pro with the M3 Pro chip, and it is glorious, along with the new sexy space black color.

I went from a Dell XPS 15 to the 14" M3 Pro and the screen size hasn't been an issue for me personally and I do a lot of web dev. The M3 Pro handles my workloads better than my XPS did and I've not heard the fans spin up in the 3 months I've had it. It's a total powerhouse so if you're upgrading from an Intel Mac or want to try Mac for the first time definitely give it a try.

How’s the color holding up so far? Is there any scratches or smudges?
@@lenajafaryassinosman2168 so far a little less than space gray items in my opinion, it’s not anti smudge though. But if you have interest in the color and need to upgrade your MacBook, I personally think it looks nicer than the silver. My only worry is over time plugging and unplugging things may chip like the m2 midnights, but I have read on a few sites/forums that Apple addressed this and it shouldn’t.
@@lenajafaryassinosman2168I got one and I’ve gotten no scratches, even in the ports. And smudges are noticeable after around a day of use, but a few wipes with a microfiber cloth or alcohol wipe deals with that

If you have any M series mac it’s really a life changer. But the pros are just insanely good! First time in a long time I’m back to 16gb of ram and ports! Man the ports are great!

@@yasinbachiri4075 when you are a student you touch your computer a lot and leave fingerprints everywhere. If you leave it on a dock then it stays clean cause you don’t touch it.

I'm glad they are keeping the ports there. They really shouldn't sacrifice functionality for design.
Man that space black is on fire🔥 hope Apple makes it a signature color like silver and includes it on its future upcoming macs, iphones, apple watches… It’s just the perfect tone of black (like gunmetal). Not pure black which would make the macbook pro look cheap, but at the same time not a very light tone like the space gray. Spot on Apple. It just looks so premium! It would look great if you use it in the dark theme mode, with a dark wallpaper in the background. The perfect color for black lovers.
I got the m3 14 pro 12/18 core with 36 ram and kept hard drive to 500 gigs ( I use external bc it’s cheaper then going straight Apple upgrade but speed is slower but I think it’s not worth it).
But I love it good speed and perfect size too. Highly recommend the space black. It keep’s up amazing with my photoshop editing on davinci and everything like that.
I have a 512gb Transcend 330 Lite in the SD card slot. Pretty handy :)

@justin - Have you noticed the lid getting stuck and getting hard to open after not using the pro for a few days?
After checking and comparing the single core performance of the M3 laptops and iMac to other laptops, I found that the M3 chips leads all other CPUs in single core performance for all current laptops as of February 2024.
Looking forward to the release of the M3 Air and the M3 Mac Mini, Apple's best computer products for the middle class.
Love the MacBook Pro M3 Review, but you can't tease us with what looks to be you getting out of your Porsche with the Heritage Design Interior, and expect us to focus on the MacBook. 🏎

Which model should I get? ( 1st time thinking of a macbook pro, I do visual communications ( student for now ). 14 or 16? Also which version would be ideal? I would have access to the apple education discount as well. Im clueless seeking advice / help / tips greatly appreciated !
sooooo context is that I currently own a Legion Pro 5 16IRX8 , 4060, 32ram, 1tb space , 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900HX. However it is heavy af .... because its a 16 laptop if im not wrong? but ofcos its legion so its meant to be heavy.... the issue is that my battery life is not so high when I do some school work and I have to be plugged in to better use my laptop performance otherwise it will cause some lag ?? I have changed some settings which helps with battery life but Im just wondering if getting a macbook pro is worth it at all? and like would it be better than my current specs as of now? and how much battery life am i expecting.
Basically in short, the macbook is meant for bringing to school so its easier on my back ache and I can bring it out to cafe etc to study at the same time while leaving my legion at home as the main work desk etc i guess ?
Im open to hear all kinds of replies so do hit me with your reasons and suggestions :)

There's no reason for most people to upgrade if they already have an M1. especially a Pro or Max... Those are still beastly machines even today. If you don't have apple silicon you should jump right in, but honestly. just get a M1 on sale.

Yeah, the Silicon Macs are perfect for RUclips content creators. For other kinds of work, like in the IT space, not so much. I still rock a 2017 MacBook Pro and since I don't do video stuff but office productivity and some VM work, the machine is still viable. For the really heavy stuff, I fire up my Intel Xeon desktop workstation. Most of my database work is on that machine. The Silicon Macs are very nice machines and Apple is smart to target the video guys. For them, that is low-hanging fruit.
Not only the video guys,I bought it because it helps my workflow ,is future proof and also helps me stay in teh apple ecosystem with my iphone and Ipad.Though being in the ecosystem is very expensive but then there is nothing like it anywhere.

@@bhawanigurung9913 depends excel doesn't need power 5 years easy with the base model. I have a 2019 8gigg MacBook pro does everything just struggles with ram but 16 can go for 5 years
