  • With the new Prime Minister due to be announced in two weeks' time, it's all down to the 160,000 or so Tory party members to decide.(Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
We know this group is not particularly representative of the rest of the country.
It's thought seven out of 10 are male, and more than a third are over the age of 66.
But what about the paid-up members who don't fit the Tory stereotype?
We have been speaking to young Conservatives about who they favour for leader, and why.

I have too and its because Jeremy is all talk and no actions. There's something about him that I do not like and he will not do anything to help the young and poor people of today. Pledging a zero carbon economy by 2050 is of course not the same thing as actually bringing it about. Remember, politicians
And others have pledged to cut carbon emissions for the last 30 years or so, but emissions continue to increase. This is
Why I simply do not believe that a zero carbon economy can be achieved by 2050. The best that can be done is to minimize
Emissions as much as possible, but whether emissions can be minimized, let along stopped by 2050, is, to say, the least,

@Brad Smith I know how to read stats, but actual real life economists who make the charts know and have publicly said that what Trump did to boost the economy, and I'm quoting someone directly, is "...gave it a sugar high" and that in a year or two we will have a "sugar crash." And yes, I'm glad about Korea being less awful toward us, but they still want to commit genocide on the Japanese and nobody can stop that train without completely dismantling the NK government. Our relationship with Iran is now probably the worst since the 70's, but that's just "being tough," right? Gotta flex those big boy muscles, even if it means Iran will increase nuclear activity.
I'm just saying, all presidents do good and bad things, life isn't as simple as evil or awesome and this is why people argue about politics. For me, personally, Trump has done some good short term things, but I doubt North Korea will like the next guy (red or blue), be it in 6 months or 4 1/2 years, and the economy will crash from it's high just like it always does when it gets an artificial boost. I don't like Trump because I think in the long term and I can't see where he is going. I see where he wants to go, but I don't think he has a good roadmap to get there. I say this all as a conservative, Christian, Republican who has lived in rural town my whole life.
I'm not uniquely blinkered, we are all living in a fog of political misdirection on both sides and none of us can really see where we are ending up. I'm not scared of Trump, I'm scared of how split down the middle everyone is. It's not even Trump being some kind of mastermind of misdirection either, it's all those little politicians, it's the news media, they always tell us something to get mad about for ratings and votes. Now, more than ever, we need to examine what we see with our own logic and knowledge. If you determine that Trump is the best president ever, vote for him. I won't tell you not to, that's what America is.
