@@Levi---q7p I have a Model 3 LR 2021 Facelift. So, I speak from the bottom of my heart because plain and simple, some decisions Tesla took are just stupid. E.g. 5 kph speed change with scroll wheel. In most of Europe, the increments per signage are 10 kph. Not even simple ACC is usable due to too much phantom braking and the Tesla just being a chicken. The car in itself drives wonderfully and can be operated cheaply and that's why I keep it but Tesla just doesn't live up to the potential of the car when a human is still required for driving.

If it works, you deserve the Nobel Price for Safety...!
I have been driving my M3 for 4 months now and I am now somewhat used to the buttons, but every time I have to use them when I am under pressure (responding to a fellow road user) I 'wave in the air' next to my steering wheel. Super annoying and sometimes even dangerous. It is incomprehensible that Tesla has made this choice, but it is great that you are fixing this. Love it.

    • @LaszloPappBerlin
      @LaszloPappBerlin Месяц назад +2

@@Zwijneman yes. It was the worst design decision ever made by Tesla. I hope the European safety agencies will force them to put the stalks back, as they announced that missing basic driving input components would result in less than 5 stars safety ratings later on - and they are absolutely right on that. This is not only unpractical. This is dangerous! Thanks for this product to remediate it. Apropo safety: I hope it sits stable at its place - also in an accident.

But the reality is that while some people have gotten used to the buttons, many really miss having stalks, and many have stated even on that group, that they won’t by a Highland until Tesla fixes this issue. Those folks will be flocking to you to buy these. I’ve got sexy buttons behind the steering wheel for indicating purposes, and 1 out of my 6 buttons positioned under the center console to change gears, so I don’t think I need this. But I’ll still consider it given the price, if I can figure out if it will work despite my having the Teslasy T8 display mounted on top of the steering wheel

I have a great example of the strength of the modern adhesive tapes. I attached a GoPro camera mount to the fairing of my track motorcycle using strong 2-sided tape adhesive. When I crashed the bike, the GoPro mount came off, but not from the adhesive. The plastic fairing had a clean hole that was size of the mount’s base plate and the missing piece of the fairing was still attached with the tape to the mount. So the adhesive was stronger than the plastic fairing😮

Great to see.. but i am a little in doubt about the adhesive mounting... please consider some form of clamping or custom top bracket, especially if ordering left and right
And perhaps consider a rechargable option (perhaps even with kinetic self-charging like some zigbee buttons are made)
I dont know if i will get them, but i know the quality of them will be great as with all your products, but please consider the above suggestions, as this will be a permanent installation... most of us are able to click of the top part plastic of the steering wheel column as diy

The S3XY App already has a dashboard, if you're okay to use your phone for that. I would not mind additional dashboard faces though. Currently there's only 2 available, one is pretty ascetic (I think it's missing the regen, and ideally should have a speed limit if there's a good way to get it from somewhere). And the other one is overloaded with stuff which is hard to see (or my phone is too small). I'd also probably want something like Rivian has, when they show how much power is being used by front and rear axles, might be useful to track regen and acceleration by axle in snow.

    Hi there!
Regarding the new stalks I have some questions, which you did not answer so far in your video:
    1) Does the stalks support "automatic" function for indicator lights / blinking by TIPPING the left stalk up (right) / down (left)?
    2) Does the stalks support cruise control by TIPPING the right stalk down?
    3) Deactivate autopilot function by TIPPING the right stalk up?
What I wish is to have the same behavior as MY / M3 pre-facelift.

If you want to activate AP with a single press down, you can do that. If you want to make it so when you press up it deactivates the AP, you can do that too. It’s all up to you 🙂

@@martincday007 Hi, using my M3 here in Europe I noticed that sometimes the car does not "sense" trafic on the opposite side of a highway. In particular, when there is a divider in the middle (this is the typical situation in Europe, not sure about the 'States), sometimes it just keeps high beam on. Lower sitting cars occupants might not be disturbed, since the divider probably also shields the drivers on the opposite side, but I see regularly drivers in trucks (I mean semis, not pickup) that are clearly blinded and who flash me, probably thinking that I just drive with the high beam on and don't care. Also, I noticed that sometimes (too often for comfort) my M3 does not dim for cars in front of me until I am raher close to them. Which obviously blinds the cars in front of me. So here you go, two separate types of regularly repeating failure to properly operate. I have to sometimes manually switch from auto high beam to low beam not to blind people.

I fear it's rather likely they may fall off under such conditions - one option might be to use two-component glue or some polyurethane glue instead (but then the adhesive tape has to come off first).
