    'Summon the Elector Counts' sounds pretty useful. As long as you have a lord somewhere (Either through confederation or sending him there) you can respec Karl Franz, replace the lord with him after a few turns and instantly get an entire invasion force to conquer that part of the world.

      Let's see if they are just here for the money or if they are actally going to fix this game in 5.0. The dlc could be the best in the world but if the game itself is scuffed what's the point

    I'm so happy, the empire just felt like such a dated faction, glad they've finally come around to upgrading it to that Warhammer 3 standard.

    If you look at the Real World its lots of Countries some of which couldn't defend themselves against any of their neighbours, and others who could easily expand but Diplomacy stops it happening. This changes seems to be a step closer to the Real World, having an "Empire" that only really units to counter external threats and doesn't really want to be a single thing. Looks interesting, looks like something I'll probably not enjoy but want to try it at least once.

    But will the empire get wrecked by turn 15-20? Just played a casual game on normal and saw that the vampires destroy the east. Festus conquers Hochland and starts battering it’s neighbors. Drycha destroys Ostermark and Ostland. The beastmen and goblins destroy Middenland. Norsca destroy Nordland. It gets hectic pretty quick.

      If the player is playing Empire then the Empire will probably do well, not so much if AI controlled I'm guessing, but the AI may do better now with the update

      To be fair, I think the real problem is the difficulty. I always have the feeling that on hard difficulty, the AI ​​starts playing very strangely.
      For example, player bias is nonsense. In the example you gave, I saw Middenland on Easy difficulty declaring war on me because I trespass as Karl, had a negative event, and the diplomatic penalty. He even tried to attack me. The curious thing is that he was in his last minor settlement and at war with five other people.
      Maybe not exactly the same, but in a similar context, in very hard setting, Toddy, hating me, although not by much, asks me for help.
      My points are: The easier difficulties are harder because they are much more random and there is a lot of RNG for at least 5 electors in the first 20 turns. (not more difficult either... chaotic I suppose, after all in those difficulties your auto-resolve is crazy)

      Although yes... Hochland and Ostermark are pretty doom regardless.

      @@joseluiscobianpampin184 I tend to play on normal with end game crises’s off. I like to see how the ai will fair without the spawning of several doom stacks. But every time I pan over to the empire out of curiosity they are always either destroyed or semi dead. They’re units are too weak and the ai doesn’t really b-line for rockets. Obviously human players can navigate and strategize better but it’s always a bummer to see the ai empire perform badly in every single play through when I’m not Franz.

    The only thing I woukd add is make it so that you can recruit elector count state troops if you're allied with them or their fealty is high enough as opposed to HAVING to annex them outright.
    That's honestly my only feedback though. This is magnificent.

      100% agree. I already gave that feedback and they said they would look into changing it in a future update if they get time. In the meantime I explained the work around exploit in the video -still works, so you can get them without annexxing them but it's not really supported, you have to exploit a game flaw to get it.

    Do allied from others species, count towards imperial authority ? Particullary speaking about Lauraelon Wood Elves.

      No. Only EMPIRE factions (including Marienburg, Volkmar, Wulfhart and Elspeth count as Empire factions. There was some discussion about including laurelorn but no, they are not counted as Imperial

      @@MercytheMad Laurelon should be included... but... alright thanks for the info... gonna have to kill a lot of elves that I really like because land reclamation... Like the situation in middle east, nothing personal it´s just land reclamation and you are occupying it.

    CA should make it so that you get the unique state-troops if you have a military alliance with that region, not just must have a lord as elector-count...

    it all sounds too good but in practice all other empire factions get wiped out by nurgle at around turn 10-15 , you want to help them but you have greenskins, beastmen and seccessionist on your way out , on top of that barrow legion can get strong enough to go after helmgart and there is not enough income to have two stacks to fend threats from two different fronts

      If it helps at all - my usual strategy is - consolidate Reikland by turn 3, then either do the turn 4 Marienburg Confederation, or more usually I attack Marienburg, trade it to Leoncour for an alliance and cash. Make Peace with Marienburg for more cash. Then kill kemmler and trade his regions to Leoncour to help him hold back Grom a little longer.
      With Bretonnia safe (At least temporarily), I go north, kill Khazrak, revive Middenland.
      Then kill Festus, revive Hochland. Retake Talabecland (or part of It) and B-line for Vlad to take him out and continue on from there.
      Not sure if that is the easiest way, but you can watch any of my last few Empire streams to see how I go about it if you are interested... that's what has worked for me anyway.

    Hello, does someone know if the New skill are going to apply on m'y ongoing Gelt campain and if i'll be able to recruit Elspeh if i purchase the DLC ?

      You will have to buy the DLC AND start a new campaign to recruit Elspeth. The new skills and stuff I think will update in your ongoing campaign but it might be glitchy. Best to finish up and start a new one after the DLC

    One thing I don't get though. If I can summon the elector counts after conquering/confederating all of the empire, there won't be any electors to summon. Or does it apply to your own faction's electors as well? What am I missing?

      I assume it is whichever generals you assign as the Electors in the interface (but yeah, they aren't the REAL electors)

      Not really I don't think, except witch hunters and captains have different skills now and can buff the army a bit more, so you can stack that with volkmars buffs

      They are Legendary heroes and you need to do a cool quest battle that has narration to acquire them. Also, they're permanent once acquired and they have skill trees now.

    Great fixes with diplomacy, buildings, but the game didn't need to get easier. Empire was one of the last factions I enjoyed playing because I might lose with early endgame turned on. I don't see that happening. Time for a new game for me. Thanks for the video.

      Ever since WH3 came out this became a game that I just play every now and then. There are so many good games out there, and WH3 gets 10x better if you're not burnt out and are just enjoying it casually.
      Ironically, WH2 feels worse to play now.

      Play with No confederations, Lore friendly. Much more difficult, but the only way Empire should be played IMO
