qk75 is considerably better but there's a lot you can do with a good budget board, same as there's a lot you can do with a much more expensive board. rest assured your money is gonna be well spent with this keyboard, great build quality, material, typing feel, sound, build flexibility, etc.

This keyboard with oil kings sounds really good, although oil kings are expensive. They sound similar to these, a bit deeper. (70 gateron oilkings = £40) a mix of thock and creamy :)

I'm waiting for mine to arrive too. I have jelly back, it's smooth but just doesn't give the creamy sound. I would suggest KTT Strawberry, Rose or Kang White, Gateron Yellow Pro (or Milky Yellow), or the new Akko Cream yellow V3.

Ive built one keyboard so far, the gamakay lk67 with lubed gateron yellows and honey milk keycaps. Ive now ordered this keyboard to be my second built with some akko cs lavenders and the same keycap clones as you. I am overly excited, and cannot wait for everything to arrive. Though, im wondering what the best way to lube and modify stabs are. The stabs on my lk67 are stock and they sound alright, but i wanna modify the stabs on this one. Great video btw!
Thanks bro :) for the stock stabs of the gmk67, I’d recommend relubing the stabs with 205g0 on the housings + stems and permatex or xht-bdz for the wires, balancing the wires if needed or you could potentially do the holee mod but I’ve always try to avoid that cuz it makes your stabs sound muted and feel bit mushy, after that you’re pretty much good to go :D

And i will try linking the keycaps, but normally my comments get taken down if they have links I linked it, just remove the space

It means that I lubed them by myself :) and for the stabs, when I stated as "lubed" meaning I lubed the stabs with 205g0 for housing + stem and xhz-bdz ( or permatex ) for the wire :)
People who think thock and cream sound good have clearly never heard complicated alps. All 3 types, linear, (SKCL Green and Yellow) tactile, (SKCM Orange and Salmon) and clicky (SKCM White, Blue, and Amber) sound infinitely better. Alps boards aren't even that expensive if you know where to look. (I paid $90 for a basically NOS white alps board, and you can also get a dell bigfoot with black alps and mod them too)
Why is it that some peoples GMK67’s sound so much better than others? I only rlly see the tape mod done after the board is opened up and it sounds so much better than just dropping switches straight in.

U can go for akko crystal pros but I would say they're not worth it. I would probably go for bsun pop, sarokeys bsun BCP, bsun sunset yellow all of them are high quality switches for reasonable price.

I use the same switch on my Q1, and I love it. But I encountered a problem that some switches can't work normally, no response, double. I don't know if you have the same problem as me.
Yeah few switches from my batch also have the same problem, some of them do register but some of them don't even though the pins are fine :( but other than that, I didn't encounter the 'double' problem like you did

Thank you :) i got the extra case foam from my RK G68 board ( I ordered this from my local shopee and it’s specifically for the g68 but it does fit the gmk67’s case and i cut some holes to fit the jst cables through ). I think aside from your 006, this would make a great budget second board :) can’t really compare both cuz the quality and the price of the mod006 is significantly higher than the gmk67 :D
Saw another review that said the typing experience is not as good as the gas67 but pricing of the gmk67 is still good since its tri-mode. IMO gas67 definitely cannot compare to the akko mod series so it'd be hard to say it'll match up.

It's just my own preference when it comes to stabs cuz I've been using the ktt strawberry for stabs for every of my build and they sound great whatever you do :) so I stuck with it :D

any board with pe foam has a similar sound. if you want good build quality or basically anything else, stick with qk75

they are pre lubed but they are fairly Inconsistent, probably because of my batch. I cleaned the pre-lube and lubed them again :)

Just krytox 205g0 that most people use for linears and that is for stems and housings. For springs, I use krytox gpl 105 :)

It's just my own preference when it comes to stabs cuz I've been using the ktt strawberry for stabs for every of my build and they sound great whatever you do :) so I stuck with it :D
