I can't have BLT's or Chicken Wings, but I do put the food to the side and it cooks evenly in the microwave.
The pasta one doesn’t even make it take better. It’ll still be dry. I suggest getting a bowl put the leftover pasta in it and then full the bowl less than half way with water. it’ll help regain moisture.

The microwave one... THAT i do figured that out myself. If there's a honkin big piece and a small flat piece.. the small piece heats much faster.
Also, if something burns easy.. add a cup of water in microwave.. it will absorb the power and slow the cooking.... mind you, that's why they all come with lower cooking settings.
