- 'Pink Sauce' is the latest TikTok food craze. The ingredients include sunflower seed oil, honey, garlic, milk, spices and dragon fruit which gives the sauce its infamous pink color. Some people say it's sweet, tangy and a little spicy. However, the creator of 'Pink Sauce' is facing criticism over her product ranging from the packaging to the nutritional facts. Chef Pii, the creator of 'Pink Sauce,' says "Everything has rolled out extremely fast. Mistakes happen."
The woman who’s selling it doesn’t even know what FDA stands for. If you’re buying that at this point, it’s natural selection.

@@camerons3097 that is correct, however wouldn’t you rather eat something that is “FDA approved” rather than “FDA does not approve”? The FDA job is really important & they run multiple advanced chemical test to make sure the food and sauces sold on the market won’t hurt us when we eat it. Which means that this sauce would most likely not be approved because it contains dairy and she’s shipping it. She could also get in trouble if she continues to sale it after it’s been disapproved.
The FDA approves food products to make sure that the products don't KILL them.

this has been the most merciful coverage of the pink sauce, completely skimmed by the fact that it wasnt FDA approved when she was already distributing the sauce that had MILK and NO PRESERVATIVES
Not just dairy. We see her with a blender full of oil and raw garlic making the mayo base before she adds the other seasonings in one video. Home made mayo does not last like the pasteurized versions you get in a grocery store. Garlic, dragonfruit, and milk all go bad lightning fast in heat. I'm sure it's fine sold locally with her catering business, assuming she has whatever food handling certs in her state she needs. (I know you'd need some in the states I've worked in to do retail beyond what is allowed in limited cottage food sales, which doesn't cover mayo/ranch/milk sauces.)
It's like mailing someone homemade potato salad in the middle of summer expecting it to be okay when it arrives.

My theory is that she wanted to push the pink sauce out fast before the “hype” around it died down and people wouldn’t want it anymore. So she skipped all of the important things you need to do before selling a food product. If she did it the right way, this could’ve been really cool but now the whole idea is tainted.
If you want to try pink sauce, make it at home.

Even without the typos, the labels look as sketchy as a bad Chinese clone. If she wants this product to have any chance of a future, she needs to hire a professional designer to redo her labels. She also needs to fix whatever she needs to fix to get the FDA approval. "Mistakes happen" isn't going to fly if someone gets sick or dies from this.

I have been very ill before and it's not something I wish on others, it's horrible when your body isn't working and causing pain. Sure in this situation it may be foolish/naive, but foolishness doesn't necessarily need to be punished to almost losing your life. You never know the person might not be very educated/naive. It might seem satifisying in your mind to think this, but it would be horrible to see someone become deathly sick because of this or even suffer future complications. It's also very hard to see on a human level.

"Mistakes happen." Yes, we understand but you cannot make a mistake on food because that's can be lethal and kill someone. Also, she should've double-checked all the labels and wordings before putting it on market. The fact that she spelled vinegar wrong, didn't test the product, and also got the servings wrong is a big red flag because she didn't do a good job in checking anything and wants us to be ok with that.

Why does she play it off as a silly mistake when she's literally putting people's lives at risk? The fact that she says the food safety instructions were "wrote out extremely fast" is concerning. ppl saw in a video on her page where she was showing a small clip of how she makes it and there was a empty white container she uses that was similar to Mayo. Some people said it looked like ranch. Either way as you know Mayo and ranch both need to be refrigerated. Also there is nothing in the ingredients that includes any white substance which is a red flag by itself. It means she’s not naming everything she’s putting in the sauce, someone could severely be allergic to something she’s not including in the written ingredients. Plus it’s not FDA approved so she would easily get off with not listing all the ingredients. She’s also doing ground shipping which means people had to wait seven days to get sauce that needs to be refrigerated.
The red flag is the way she acts. I wouldn't buy something from someone so ghetto

My point is she’s not legit. She does not list all of her ingredients. Please note that milk is listed as an ingredient and has no preservatives but is still packaged in a plastic bag with no refrigeration. Also she admitted to the sauce not being fda approved and still chose to promote and distribute the sale of the pink sauce. So she knowingly used her customers as guinea pigs with an unlicensed product that spells disaster if you have enough common sense to think about it. This is clearly an issue that shouldn’t be labeled as something simple as a ‘mistake’.

This is a terrible idea. If someone going to get sick because of this. You're just playing with someones health you'll get sued, and the fact that she doesn't even know what FDA means just makes wanna die. I literally have no faith in humanity anymore,
I know I am going to sound harsh, but I feel like if you're stupid enough to order this, and than put it inside your body you probably deserve the harm it will do to you. What I find really terrifying about this situation is that this sauce has dairy in it, and she is send it out to people in this summer heat without any kind of refrigeration.

In the ingredients it says *milk* . But when the ‘sauce’ gets shipped out (which takes days/weeks) she *never keeps them cool or cold* . Which she should because it has milk in it. And when a milk gets left out even for *2 hours it gets spoilt* . And when you eat or drink the spoilt milk you at least have *diarrhoea* . (Or worst)
She lied to her customers when the sauce wasn't the same consistency and color.
