- Plastic surgery isn’t just for people of a certain age; sometimes young people get cosmetic procedures, as well. California Teen Elisa Chaddock wasn’t looking forward to the start of her sophomore year, because she felt self-conscious about the size of her nose. Erandeeny Valencia, another teen from California, wanted to change her cup size before starting college. Both of them visited plastic surgeons. #InsideEdition

I went to school with a girl that got a nose job after sophomore year. She was about 15 or 16. Her parents let her get the nose job but only if she paid for it herself. So she saved for over a year and came back junior year looking amazing, tons of self confidence, and pride because of the fact that she paid for it herself. Plastic surgery isn’t always a bad thing if you do it for the right reasons. And the fact that she had to pay for it herself forced her to spend a lot of time and late night shifts thinking about whether she really wanted the surgery. And it turns out she wanted it for the right reasons.
This is great. It makes me think that the confidence was purely from her determination and worth ethic. The new nose was just a permanent reminder of her resolve. 👏

The thing that concerns me about getting breast implants young is that your breasts can still grow in your 20s. I was flat chested as a teen and wanted implants. But I grew to a DD naturally in 20s. So glad I didn't rush into surgery.

I used to get bullied for my facial features. Once I got out of highschool no one said anything negative about them anymore. It was almost like I grew into them. People will find one little insecurity and latch on to it to make themselves feel better. It’s cruel.

the boy who got his ears pinned back made me so sad!!! my dad grew up with that same exact ear shape until he also got them surgically pinned back around the same age, because of bullying. whenever i see this ear shape, i always think of how adorable and unique it makes people look. i wish people weren't so cruel and didn't bully what was simply different to them :-(
My brother's ears initially looked a lot like that boy's. But as he grew, they seemed to shift much closer to his head and didn't stick out at all anymore. Had he had them pinned, I think they might've wound up looking weirdly flat. Maybe sometimes, the answer is not plastic surgery but time - at least with children.

I have a similar "bumped" nose like the first girl. I haven't seen much people in my hometown with a nose like mine, so I think it's a unique trait and I'm satisfied with what I look like. She's a pretty girl; a shame people around her teased her for her wonderfully unique nose
Shame that people praise her for getting plastic surgery instead of maybe considere the option that going to psychologist could help her see how beautiful she is and keep her nose just the way it is

It made me BEYOND upset to see same aged girls be ashamed of her nose. It made me, myself insecure. I felt I was called out too even I wasn't... but, in the other hand it made me grateful to know that I don't live in a repeated envirement. I hope no-one else felt the same way! 🤧

But the target just then internalizes the tease. Maybe they start out pretending they don’t care, but if mean siblings or school mates begin to bully, it becomes a pernicious obsession. Sometimes just surgically fixing some area will free their minds.
Most of the children featured here actually did need the surgery they got. So the bullies were wrong to bully them for it but it definitely was something that needed fixed.

And also I have definitely less breast than the last girl, and I would never put anything there to please anyone and I'm totally fine with it. So no, it was absolutely not necesary. The only surgery that was necesary was that of the girl with the broken nose, but the rest was only for cosmetic purposes.

All awful? I had the ear surgery when I was 10 years old. I’m 22 now and glad I did it. It changed my life and made me more confident.
I clicked on this thinking i would see heartwarming stories of kids who survived horrific car crashes but got terribly mutilated, and then had plastic surgery to repair the damage. Plastic surgery should be reserved for people that actually need it

I remember a kid kept bullying him so I put him in the hospital. Nobody bullied me again through elementary or middle school. nobody bullies me now either because I exceeded them in most criteria. No surgery needed, just ignore them and improve yourself that way, you will become superior to your peers.

I don’t like how parents let their kids get plastic surgery this young unless it’s critically needed for a medical issue. It just teaches them that they won’t look good until they use surgery to fix it.
I hated my nose too when I was a teenager, but now I think it's the best part of my face. When you're that young, even your perception isn't fully developed. I hope one day as a society we will look back to this plastic surgery era with embarrassment.

It's terrible that they've been bullied. My concern is they would still be bullied and called plastic. =/ so unless bullying is addressed, it's a tradeoff of which bullying you're more comfortable with.

I actually have this problem as well where I was playing soccer and got hit in the face by the opponents arm. As a result, I’m not able to breathe properly from one side of my nose, but I got used to it.
a lot of times breathing is actually impaired on at least one side after a traumatic injury to the nose. that's the most common reason for rhinoplasty after a broken nose

This remind me of when I'm not comfortable with my ears cause it's big & going to school ppl just give funny names & of course I kinda felt down. It hppns since i was 7 too. Well in my religion, we can't just change our body for our wants except if it's a need so i didn't get it but growing up now I just make fun of myself & say i hve the ears of my dad & found out tht other artist hve big ears too made me a bit more happy bout it. This video lift me up seeing them happy after getting it.

Everyone is different though, and I'm glad that the first girl feels happier now.
Imagine getting bullied, being insecure about it, getting surgery to change it (sometimes costs about $50,000), feeling great, then getting bullied about getting plastic surgery.

Right I literally emailed and contacted a Miami surgeon and he said he would prefer me to be 18 so I have to wait till December wen he could have literally just did my consultation and just scheduled my surgery in December 😕like why do that wen I literally have all the money now .. btw I’m doin the (BBL liposuction procedure)
