- Lufthansa Economy Class review, wing-view seat 83K.
I had a very enjoyable time on this trip even though the flight was 11 hours and 50 minutes... I had a whole row to myself on the right side, three seats and three IFE systems to keep my company. Food was excellent (for airplane food).
We start this 6,000+ mile flight at Frankfurt International Airport EDDF/FRA and fly to Los Angeles International Airport KLAX/LAX first by traveling north past Denmark, Norway and Iceland, up over the south portion of Greenland, Baffin Island, across Canada, namely Nunavut, Saskatchewan, Alberta, the tip of British Columbia and down into the United States, crossing north to south over portions of Washington, Oregon, Nevada and California before we fly the RIIVR3 and touch down at LAX.
I apologize if you don't think the sound is good enough quality... this is already a very quiet airplane to begin with.

That is a HUGE wing!
Agreed.... glad I wasn't sitting right over it or you'd likely see nothing else.
Lmao
amazing
Frankfurt singabur
@@OHAREAVIATION when I flew on the a380 I was unlucky and sat over the wing and saw nothing cool
I'm still amazed at how a plane that humongous can get in the air.
Anything is possible with enough power.
and be one of the quietest at the same time!
Plane Spotting With Nate has science gone to far nope
Plane Spotting With Nate go fast air will pick you up
@@TheDetherion That's what's more impressive to be honest. Huge engines but quieter than 747.
The extension of the flaps sounds louder than the engines from the inside! Amazing.
Yes. it makes the Sound of a siren.
What an amazing aircraft! The heart stopping moment comes when wheels drop down during the landing. You feel like bombs going off! Engines are so silent though. Sad that A380s are being discontinued.
Thanks for watching! I have to agree I really did like my trip on this particular A380, i've flown it a few times. It is quite a significant touchdown that is for sure... the frame of reference is somewhat different for pilots from what I've heard. Yes, sad to see it discontinued myself. I rather like the airplane even though I know some complain it is ugly.
The A380's ailerons are the best ever! So entertaining to watch! :)
I would have to agree.... it's amazing watching a computer fly an airplane.
My little cousin when she was 4 years old one time said the wiring inside the ailerons had armpit hair like my uncle lmao
@@OHAREAVIATION what is theyre use actually?
Flown Lufthansa several times. Consistently excellent service. Never flown A380, but looking forward to it! I miss Germany VERY much!
oh yes, KLM and Lufthansa are my two favorites of the international airlines I've flown, Virgin Atlantic, Air Canada also get a special mention.
ruclips.net/video/DmyPvSH0Yjg/видео.html
Paula it’s been a year, have you gone back? If not, I want you to go to your computer and book it!
@John Smith You can't just generalize a whole country. There are terrible and annoying people in every country and I'm sorry if you had to make the experience to just meet the bad people in Germany but saying it's a bad country just because of that is not very nice. There are many very friendly people living there.
@@lisalalila8381 Germans are a special kind when it comes to that.
Glad to be finally out after having to live there for most of my life.
Lol!!! OMG!! Moved-away from my hometown, Los Angeles, in 1983!! The only things I miss are IN-AND-OUT cheeseburgers...and, SMELLING the Pacific Ocean!! Thanks for taking me to LUNCH!! God bless you!
It's the law on this channel ;) In-N-Out burgers and planespotting just go together Thanks for watching!
A nice place to visit, but wouldn't want to live there. And the ridiculous housing costs are the final nail in the coffin.
why do they call the cheese burgers in and out
You miss christian burger huh?
Man A380 is such a beautiful bird, I could've gotten a ride on her but my passport was expired and I didn't realize it until it was too late
I remember my first experience on the a380... man... what a plane! Didnt even feel any feelings in my stomach on take off, and the plane took turbulence like a champ👏🏾
Quanto maior o avião, menos se sente os solavancos.
Same
Is a good plane I'm going to fly it one day
Watched from beginning to end. Enjoyed the various landscape throughout. Well done.
THNX 4 w@tch!ng Glad to hear you enjoyed.
Great video!! Thank you so much!! Beautiful scenery and great ending!!!
Well documented flight! Love how you went to In-N-Out and plane spotted after a long flight!
Thanks! there is always so much more to include but I try to strike a balance. Being that I tend to love the airplanes and the flying itself more, I tend to focus on that.
Glad you posted this, watched the whole trip. Looks like you flew from Germany to L.A. just to eat at In and Out burger. It's my first stop when I get to the L.A. area also. Thanks Again!!
Thanks for watching! In-N-Out burger sure is a favorite of mine.
Dog-on, Jay...what a totally delightful experience...my wife and I have flown Lufthansa several times to Frankfurt and Zurich on 747s...but our flight here on this beautiful A-380 was simply put...wonderful. And what a nice touch at the end at In N Out...and my fav there...the Double-Double...doesn't get any better...not to mentiuon capturing the Asiana A-380 coming in...well done...very well done...Lare
Thanks so much for watching, Lare! Always fun to share my travels with my subscribers and viewers.
Wonderful! I hope you enjoyed this long flight.
Sure did! Thanks for watching as always, Matthias!
Amazing video. Enjoyed watching every minute of your flight! Thank you for sharing your trip aboard this beautiful aircraft!
Thanks much! sadly this will be a rare video in future I feel. But hopefully the A380 will make a comeback in some way. It's a wonderful aircraft.
@@OHAREAVIATION You are welcome. Let's hope the future will be less grim. Cheers!
What a nice surprise from you Jay.Flying in a beast like this is a real experience.Believe me I know it cause I have flown in an Emirates A380 from Dubai to Brisbane Australia and it was once in a lifetime experience for two reasons.First it was a business class flight and second I was in there for almost 16 hours..I 'll never forget it and I don't think you will ever do.Huge Likes buddy.
Many thanks, Yannis! Since flying on this one I have also flown on the Air France A380 as well ... except I was in the middle seat so I don't have a lot of footage but yes, these are some marvelous flying machines.
Awesome!!! Thank you very much for sharing your plane trip!
Thanks 4 watch!ng hope you enjoyed!
Excellent video Jay, really enjoyed the takeoff with the water getting blown away, some power! Nice to see the famous In 'n out from the inside too, and the usual Boeing bonus footage at the end, many thanks for sharing, I enjoyed viewing.
Thanks for watching, Mr. Sham-ROCK!!
The noise the flaps make when they deploy or stow are pretty satisfying
Love the contrast of the bright Sun and vibrant green grass in Lax vs the brown in Frankfurt
Thank you for this amazing video!
Th@nks 4 watch!ng
Danke fürs zeigen! Schönes Video
so beautiful California at the end.
Amazing flight, what a change in scenery from a gloomy Frankfurt to sunny Los Angeles

landing was amazing beautiful scenry.
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful flight, but I wish there had been shots of map showing where the plane was. Mountainous regions were gorgeous! Wish I'd been aboard! Many thanks for this fine work!
Thanks for the feedback, I think I threw a few of those in there here and there but yes, I probably should include more of those. Expect that in future reviews :)
hey great video man i enjoy it made me feel like i was on that A380 even though ive been on one from Perth to Jfk international airport
Thanks for watching! I try to get as much in there without making the video too long and boring.
Я неожиданно просмотрел все видео полностью! ))) Thank you very much!

23:07 I am living in the City "Verden". Anyway this is cool to see planes flying over me on this route.
linda viagem. que local ótimo para filmar aterrizagem/decolagem parabéns !
I remember a night landing at LAX on a flight from Toronto. The city is so big it just goes on forever and could see the Hollywood sign. Getting off the plane I could smell the nearby Pacific Ocean.
Jonathan J wonderful memories! yes, every time I come to LAX i love it
Great video and nice wing
Thanks for watching! I agree it is a nice wing. ;)
Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD no problem:-)
Amazing video! 👍
Thanks for watching!
thank you for this amasing fly
Thanks for watching, Nicolas!
I think that landing is fabulous for this big boy
Thanks for watching!
Really awesome!
THANX :)
the landing is a bit rough
A good landing is one you can walk away from.
The A380 always lands a little hard due to the pilots' frame of reference.
Landing looks normal
Keep in mind, this plane has 2 stories and the cockpit is up higher
Hans von Rerugen you wouldn’t even be able to take off a a380
To be honest the plane is heavy as shit. Even a rather soft landing will feel hard.
nice video thank you :))
So nice, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
wonderful video thankyou i felt i was on that trip
Thanks 4 stopping by! happy new year!
awesome video bro!
Thanks for watching!
Nice I have always wanted to see the a380

Wow! Your FSX looks so realistic!
i could seriously watch these wings all day. what a masterpiece of engineering. will be a sad day when these old birds are all gone and thanks to covid, it's coming quick.
Thanks 4 watch!ng
Супер ! Красавец самолёт ! Оператору респект ! 👍👍👍✌
Watching during quarantine 2020.
Kathy Higgins Thanks for watching!
I'm amazed at the fact that you could access external cameras on the aircraft during the flight!
a pretty cool feature! thanks for watching.

Fast 1,3 Stunden die Tragflächen filmen, das nenne ich Ausdauer!
hatte ja anscheinend nichts zu tun^^ wird warscheinlich nur die kurzfassung von dem ganzen Film sein ;-)
Wonderful Engineering A380
Very very nice Journey
Thanks 4 watch!ng
Wow!Very quiet!
Also that was a impressive landing and the landing also looked like the plane requires more runway although at the same time it stopped pretty fast for being a large plane it just required a little more runway and takes longer to do a full stop. But very neat.
it's amazing that an airplane this large takes so little time and area to stop... truly remarkable.
It's was awesome!!!
WoW !
Pure love A380 🙏
Thanks for watching!
Love Big wings biggest airplanes 380 stay safe and have fun
How I wish to fly the A380!
I've flown on "Berlin" and "Geneva"". Excellent aircraft - the best out there.
COOL!! yes, I've flown a number of the DLH long-haul and really like it.

Lufthansa has the smoothest landings! I only fly with them oversea! The best!
I really like Lufthansa... have flown on the A350, A340-300, A340-600, B748, A380 with them... love them. Great service.
Oh now I must sometime in my life ride in an Airbus A 380 jumbo jet! Excellent video Jay! The only time I was at Frankfurt Main Intl as part of a tour trip that encompassed 15-days back in 1994 of course there were no jets of that type! Nice airport though, but as I recall the police security that I saw with automatic rifles let it clearly be known that a person best not try something stupid!
Thanks so much, jeffman61! Frankfurt is one of my favorite European airports. Very clean and well laid out.
ruclips.net/video/DmyPvSH0Yjg/видео.html
I've never flown an A-380 or ridden on one. Does it have stiff landing gear struts? Seemed like a near zero sink rate before touchdown but then the house blows up.
Hey Thanks for this Video. I have a fear of flying, but i will do this flight also next week. From Frankfurt to Los Angeles. And the funny thing i reserved also Seatnumer 83K. So i can train the flyed :-)
Cool!! the fear of flying is not uncommon but it can be overcome. Sometimes learning a lot about how airplanes work and the science behind it can be very beneficial to gaining a greater understanding of flight that puts people at ease. I wish you the best in your travel experiences...
Nice Video
Fantastic plane.
Thanks 4 watch!ng
amazing
Thanks for watching!
1.14 какой красивый самолёт!!!
А 380 - просто произведение искусства. Дай Бог всегда удачных посадок и без происшествий)
Well done!

Nice airplane!
Andres Vasquez Thanks for watching!
Seeing something like that in 7 days.
I feel like if you go to L.A then we all go to in n out by the airport after
economy is the best seat in the house. i could stare at that wing all day
agreed! Thanks 4 stopping by!

I read the title "Wing Review" XD
I am catching up on your videos and wow a lot of neat things in here. When you were filming that one airplane from the seat was there a camera on the top wing of the airplane so that you could actually see your airplane. And then another camera below the airplane so that you could see the ground. Like depending on if you click onto 1 or 2 or 3 you get views from outside the airplane. That's what it looked like. I pick up on things like that fast. I also noticed how it looked like the big planes need more run way to take off like almost the whole runway? Because it looked like you need more runway before it lifted into the air. The mountains were neat maybe those were the Alps? They totally look like the Alps!! That's cool whatever they are. Actually even further down the road you were seeing more mountains and it sure looked like a lot of neat mountains.
Great to see a comment from you again! Yes, this airplane has a camera in the vertical stabilizer (tail fin) and a couple others to allow the passengers the unique view of being able to see their airplane from the outside. I particularly like this airplane overall... and that feature can sure keep a middle seat interesting... I hate not being able to see outside... what's the point of the magic of flying if you can't enjoy it? You do see a lot of mountains and snowy territory on this route. A great flight and certainly worth it again some time.
When I flew to Cleveland in November I loved seeing Lake Michigan and I loved the part where you could see land and lake like looking at the map in person. Usually when I fly to Cleveland there are too many clouds but November was a cloudless flight. When I fly to Cleveland in May I hope to see the Lake but its possible it will be cloudy because I am thinking mostly its cloudy around that time of year. hopefuly not. The clouds are neat but the lake is even neater to see.
54:12 Looks like it could be Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, California.
