    Troy, you did such an incredible job restoring those two bikes. They look fantastic! I never had a chance to own one, but they bring back a lot of memories of going to motocross races and seeing them back in the day. Keep it up! What are you doing with the other bikes in your stable?

      The 87 CR500 is next year project. The KLX650 is my son's. Not sure if we will restore that one or just ride it.

    Very good job. I have been looking for a Honda Cr 500 in Europe for renovation for many years, but I have not been successful yet. Maybe America is a better market for exploration. Please help. Greetings and I watch every video

    The burning question would be what's the restoration cost of these old bikes compared to the new price of a modern 250 or 300?..Great job by the way..they are better than when new👌👍

    Where do you find seat foam for these older bikes? I possibly might take on a 84’ CR500 project and it will need new foam and cover for sure.

      Got sick for awhile and I was injured starting to feel better and I will get back into it. The oem 250 had a bad crank seal which lead to a minot seizure. Fixing that right now and then back to the 500

    Did you clear cerakote the swing arm? I kind of vague heard something about clear.
    And If you did, was that air dry clear or heat cured? And did you need to dry blast it with aluminum oxide or an abrasive to get it to bite.

    • @TNTMOTO
      @TNTMOTO  9 месяцев назад +1

      It is an air dry product Aluminum MC-5100. I vapor blasted the swingarm and have never had a problem with adhesion.

      @TNTMOTO beautiful builds brother. Really enjoy seeing these old two strokes come back to life.
      I'm building a 95 cr500r replica at the moment. Just finished up a 01 cr500r replica with a 87 motor.
      Also building up a 2000 cr250r that's nearly completed.

    Hey we need to talk. I need your help. I need new power valve spring guide collars. Where is everyone getting them for these retro builds? Mine are melted into the springs. They are the plastic or nylon peice on top of the springs in the power valve. Im building a 88. The 87 had metal collars. But a different dimension. Let me know any information helps thanks.
