  • Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE our truck camper setup. But when it comes time to mix truck camper living with family, friends, and holiday traditions it can be a little overwhelming. We're so excited to be back on the road for our 2024 season, but we've been appreciating a short break away from the camera. We'll see you next videos we go over our full gear setup, so if your curious about anything in particular leave it in the comments so we can touch on it!

Spend time with your folks when you can. When they are gone you don’t get another chance. No explanation required! As for loading and unloading, we unload anytime we want to run around in the truck. Of course, electric jacks make all the difference and would be a worthy (albeit, pricy) upgrade for your camper.

The one indulgent item we take is an espresso machine we purchased for our camper.

You guys remind me of my husband & Me when we first married. We waited 5 years to start a family because we enjoyed each other & our adventures. We had jobs but every weekend we grabbed the tent or the old VW pop top van camper & went rappelling & spelunking. Northwest AR is full of caves & bluffs.
Enjoy your time together & getting to know each other. Because after the kids are grown & gone, it will be you two again.
We’re in a Lance truck camper enjoying new adventures, no rappelling or spelunking, we’re old! Lol. Just had our 50th anniversary last year & our 13th great grand. So you’re never to old to get back out there, but you do have to like each other in a truck camper! Lol

OMG! I totally get the burnout! I've tried starting a channel so many times over the last eight years starting back when we had the Class A. It's a lot of work filming all the angles, trying not to repeat yourself and oh crap if something goes wrong and you have to start over LoL!! Just keep moving forward. It'll all work itself out. That's what they say, right? Let us know if you make it to Quartzsite this year. We're leaving in 3 days for that area & Yuma! Happy New Year!! ~M

Something I take with me that is a little frivolous is my portable washing machine. I can almost as easily use a laundromat, but I love that thing and it works fine for me. I have a 24-foot Class C motorhome, so it has a little more room than your camper, but it is still something I have to work around as it doesn't fit in the storage compartments. So, I have to take it out of the shower every time I want to shower. hehehe But I like it even though it will only wash a couple of outfits at a time and I need 4 gallons of water for a full cycle, wash/rinse. hehehe But for me it is worth it and a little piece of home with me. :)

New Years present to yourselves: Electric Camper Jacks and a small 2200watt gas generator. Then, take that air fryer with you. Also, a tow-toad will solves a lot of problems. Your rig would look great towing a 2d TJ/CJ/JK

Do you have a plant/tree identification app in your phone? Thanks for the tour. Yes, I remember going camping, coming home and unloading it having a young child to tend to while my husband went shopping for the week came back and did laundry and clean litter boxes. We did bring way too much at times because of storage we had. My husband had major back surgery two weeks ago and his physical health will play a big part if we get on the road full time camping.🤞

1st time watching....thank you and enjoy ur time on the road. You can put up some solar panels and get enough Lifpro batteries that you never have to worry about having enough juice to run your appliances. A small gas generator can serve as a back up.....pretty easy.

I can understand your getting burnt out for a while.
You are living in a very small area and sometimes you just need SPACE.
I could not do what you are doing but I could enjoy spending Winters in a warm place like Quartzsite Arizona, in out 30' Fifth Wheel.
Then I would be ready to come back home the Northern Utah for the rest of the year.
I do enjoy your videos though and they get me pumped up to go camping.

Hi guys. I’ve been following you for a while. I enjoy your relationship with each other. Kinda reminds me of when my wife and I dated 36 years ago. Our first date camping in a borrowed super small TT; one room, no walls, no bathroom. It was in NH in the fall and we were leaf peeping. Below freezing temps and we couldn’t get the furnace to work. The way I handled the situation impressed my date and we’ve been together ever since. I retired last and my wife will retire in 2 years. We’ll sell our house and be full-timers. Hope we bump into sometime. P.S. you must take care of yourselves first and foremost. Your viewers will wait. 😊

I know it’s. lee has to drive around. And yes electric jacks can. Ale such a difference, our 97 lance 990 has them and they still work great.

We've been able to rest and plan out the next 6 months of 2024! And we're not allowed to have the camper (HOA) when staying with my mom for the holidays so we have to unload it after every trip. Definitely not ideal but worth it for some quality family time!
