Dont forget about defense and security! Lots of crazy "2 legged deer" out there. I carry a firearm, but lots of alternatives if thats not your thing. I dont think Barkleys gonna scare anybody away..lol

Love the jugs and Jack snips 😂 Obviously, you two have put a lot of thought into being on the road full time! You hope for the best, BUT always plan for the worst. AND, who wouldn't love a furry little companion like Barkley on the road?! He's probably a lot of folks' favorite 😊 Happy New Year to you both and stay safe out there!

When you said my jugs, my ears perked up like Barkley when he hears wanna treat! lol Nice play on the bottle “Jack” too! 😆
Very informative video! Think only item I did not have on my list was shackles, but they are on the list now 😁
Would be nice to see videos, or video segments, using the gear or practicing putting on the gear i.e. your chains
Looking forward to seeing ya’all back out on the road
As always, stay safe out there…..

Hey you two! Good info on the power stations. We’re currently debating between more solar or another power station. We have a jackery right now and a little Solar but just not sure which way to go yet. As for winter camping, we’re over it LoL!! We scrambled from Washington to Arizona this week as fast as we could. We’re chasing 70° now. Oh and yes we just got the starlink so I’m glad to hear you like it. Cheers! ~M

Great information, one more question about the truck. I would like to know about the front bumper and grill guard. That looks like a great safety upgrade. Thank you so much for your insight and willingness to help!

I'm going with an Ecoflow 10,000kwh system for my van. Makes the electrical system so much easier. Also decided on Insty Connect instead of Starlink. Barkley is definitely special. My schnoodle, Ozzie will travel with me. Great video!

Also, having used tire chains often, put them on before you need them. Not fun climbing under a vehicle dripping slush. Hang chains over tires and hook inside link, hook front, drive forward about a foot and tighten.

Barkley is my favorite gear. He's so cute. Since your truck and camper is at 11,000 lbs. I don't think your jack that came with the truck will work. Just curious. If your truck and camper are at 11,000 lbs. Will the truck frame twist if you jack it up to change a tire? Just wondering!

I’ve heard you mention having the camper hardwired into your power station in a few videos. Could you share how that was done? Or provide a link to some resources where I could find some more detailed information?

Thanks for the great list of truck camper "should haves", there were a few items you listed that weren't on my list. I've retired recently and plan on purchasing a truck and camper and I really enjoy your videos and adventures! Your travels have provided me with some great future travel plans as there are tons of areas across the US that I'd love to explore. Having lived in Minnesota my whole life, hoping you are able to spend some time in our great state - there are some amazing areas that I know you would enjoy. Safe travels and looking forward to your futures videos & trips across the US! Take Care!

That was a great video! We really need to get some of those soft bags for my tools. They would be much easier to store inside the truck. Since we aren’t full time truck campers, we don’t carry near as much gear, but feel like we’ve got everything we need to get us out of a jam.
    Safe travels and have fun!

Thanks, Doug! They're great for the road but not when you're looking for something specific. And we usually just keep filling until we're out of space!

Really enjoy your videos. Glad you’re able to enjoy family time. Do you find the gas Hemi engine sufficient for the camper or would you prefer a diesel for the additional power and or engine breaking?

You never mentioned a heavy duty LED flashlight(s). Do you have a headlight flashlight? Overall, is Starlink a satisfactory system when traveling? Being limited on space, what else would you bring that might be needed? Also, does phone reception and being at a real isolated area an issue? Good video.

Your phone and GoPro look like the same quality and audio. The wind you can hear on both, bit not bad. The expensive camera of course is best.

    • @LivingLargeCamping

Happy with them so far! Definitely heavier and a little road noise, but we've had 0 slips on snow thus far and haven't changed MPG too much
