I have a great appreciation and respect for Joe!
JOE THAS LIVED THIS LONG AS HE IS NO FOOL. OLD SCHOOL AND KNOWS HIS STUFF.
That was smashed firmly out of the park!! As a UK based tandem instructor, I am well impressed with Mikey and Cory and the operation as a whole. I have to admit though, watching the military set up to jump was making me tweak a bit. As for Joe, great man and great pilot!
Best episode .....
I'm 64 ... .Retired Pilot
Joe ..THE...SAFETY MAN.......this is the right way to do everything un aviation
Riveting, awesome and tear jerking at the same time. Pinning the wings on Cory did it for me. Thanks to Buffalo Air and thanks to those that serve.
Mikey's face in that jump was priceless.
Loved seeing you be such a good father Joe! was touching
That was a crazy day
Hes Alive!
Mikey, what was the biggest change that happened to Buffalo since the last episode of Ice Pilots??
@@u46kaleun85 We got a bunch of new airplanes and lived happily ever after. Lots of videos on my RUclips if you need to catch up.
@@MikeyMcBryan oh, a 737. What a wonderfull airplane.
I Just cant really believe im speakin to ya!
Tell me, do you miss the camera crew and the recording atleast sometimes?
@@u46kaleun85 I still talk to a lot of the production team at Omni that made the show, very good people and overall had a very good time working with them.
@@MikeyMcBryan if there was a chance, would you do it again? (The show)
Would Joe do it again?
Joe is 100% right to not push the edge of safety.
I was going to say the same, safety, of the aircraft, crew and passengers, is paramount over some loonies jumping out, there not loonies, they are Provisionals, but still loonies, sounded better
Wow! What those young kids so long ago. Now they had huge balls and were dedicated. We have little idea what it was like for them. We do owe a huge debt of gratitude to them and so many others.
My dad served in Air Force during the Korean Conflict. I cherish those stories he left me. Thanks dad for your service. R.I.P. Dad. ❤️
Joe, I salute you friend. As an ex-Paratrooper having done just over 90 jumps between 1976 - 1989 I can tell you the hardest call for a pilot to make is call a "Stop Jump". In my military career I've done two water jumps, a couple of "Tree" jumps and one night operational jump 400 kilometers behind enemy lines at 4 'o clock in the morning. Although most of my jumps were from the Dakota DC-3 (The 'Dak' as we called it) we also jumped from the Lockheed C-130 Hercules. The guys that played an important part in our jumps were our despatchers, but I can tell you that the bravest guy in the set-up was the one who decided to to call the jump. You're a hero in my eyes because you called it good. Well done Sir, I salute you!
So happy to see michael’s dreams come to and Joe acceptance for him to jump
Easily the best episode of Ice Pilots.
Mikey! I am bustin' proud of you bro. Doing something that scares you crazy is the bravest act a man can do. Way to go!
The gentleman's plane. "You stepped out as a gentleman rather than a trap door like a thief" my grand father used to say. Joe was the typical Concerned piolet back in the day ensuring all was safe as can be. Camera crew did a brilliant job documenting this new updated, old school event. Well done to all involved and sorry, but you need to be patient with Mother Nature.
One of the best episodes awesome well done !!
DC3 - the most beautiful aeroplane ever created! And Joe is EXACTLY right. Engine outs are the norm rather than the exception. I speak from experience.
That's awesome to see them do that...
My hats off to ol' Mikey 🤠👍
& The entire crew
"If it's not totally safe, it ain't going to happen". This guy Joe saying this? Yeah.... sure, look who's talking...
I have never seen Joe do anything unsafe. I have seen him exemplify how not to act in a safety culture but he has never flown in a manner that is unsafe. There has never been a plane fly that was not airworthy that I recall.
I work under the FAA some things are different up there, we follow much different training requirements. For 16 years I was the final arbiter of flight safety operations for a very prestigious airline from 9pm to 6am, I have spoken with the FAA several times, they never disagreed with my decision. I would call Joe unorthodox but not unsafe.
@@DWBurns Have they ever overloaded a plane?
@@DWBurns All this is bla bla and you, obviously, have no knowledge of the situation. FYI, 1st: FAA is from USA and not Canadian so whatever you wrote is irrelevant. 2nd: Joe was FORCED OUT by Transport Canada. It was that, or Buffalo Airways had to close. That fact alone made all of your bla bla irrelevant.
And you speak as if you've always been by his side to watch his every move. Which is false.
Last, Transport Canada's records tell a very different story than all of your bla bla and lies.
Last "I have spoken with the FAA several times, they never disagreed with my decision." LOL like you are THE god of all gods and whatever you say, even without any knowledge and no basic verification is gold. People with your attitude are a liability in the aviation world...
END OF DISCUSSION
@@DWBurnsLeft any tools where they could cause a plan3 to crash on landing??
Joe deserves respect 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You are absolutely fricken amazing, Mikey! Even Joe faced his fear - difficult to be totally objective when the life of your son is on the line...
Outstanding all around. Excellent jump, Mikey! Good decision making, Joe. But, no. Don't ask me to jump from an airplane. LOL
loved the father and son relation...way to go Joe, Mikey, Cory and all the Military personnel..it was awesome
My favorite episode by far, well done.

Congratulations to all of buffalo airways for pulling this off
That’s was awesome guys!
I'm no pilot but that first drop zone was a no go. Good call Joe !
Really awesome episode! All the planning that went into the jump, the cancelation of the first jump, and then pulling it off? Nail biting!
this was really incredible and amazing
A very inspiring video!
wow joe , realy you are the GOAT pilot .
Indeed.
I haven’t ever watched this show, but knowing how reality tv shows are, I bet he’s going to make the flight. Just adding drama.
What a great show! Well paced. Many thanks for a job vey well done. CAVU skies!
GOOD ONE GUYS !!! 😎👍 🇨🇦
Magnificent.
Congrats Mikey!
Joe is my idol.. Crazy Buffalo Joe.
That was Great.
my grandfather was in the 101st airborne and fought during D-day and Market Garden
GREAT!❤
Stuff of legend's 👍
Very very good episod. Great. ;) .
Joe when he doesn't like it: SAFETY.
Joe when someone else doesn't like it for safety reasons: Throws adult temper tantrums.
As a former 101 St. Airborne Paratrooper, I wish I could been a part of this Drop.
Mikey you and your dad should see a video on youtube "Classic Propliners at Rand, South Africa". They have some old planes in awesome condition and very likely good parts inventory.
Brilliant...there is another side to Big Joe.....we've just seen it right there.
This the last episode, Lads. Thanks for the great time.
This really was something to see 👍👍👏👏❤
Mike e is a good guy
The narrator has said the same thing over and over, “If joes doesn’t think the jump is safe he wont do it”. I guess they are trying to ad suspense.
There are old pilots and bold pilots. I seriously respect Joe. I’d go in an aeroplane with him!
Watered-up MY 74-year-old Marine eyes. Joe, Mikey, you be da MEN!!! 🥲
Joe is so old he came with the hanger
foundation
had no idea he passed since wonder started playing this series RIP JOE
He didn't.. I just saw him yesterday??
Long Live the Devil's Brigade
Airborne All the Way
Airborne Brothers Stand Together Stand Strong
I'm proud of Mikey . . .
Mikey, It's not the fall that kills you, it is the sudden stop
I once saw a picture of a D-day jump, I think it was a practice jump, because it was filmed in the day time, and from the ground.
You could se the guys jumping and their parachutes opening, but one guy, jumps but his parachute never opens.
They never said anything about this, so maybe the one putting the documentary together didn't notice, but it was a pretty horrific thing to see.
I kinda liked the scene when Mr Joe, smached the dore beacuse the dident wanteted to watch when mikey jumped.
36:00 God, that is terrifying, even without anyone shooting.
joe is a legion
Joe will get it done as long as its safe.
Fantastic episode well done to all involved
It is a scripted show! Really, you think this is real life?????

This was the final episode?
Everyone is alive to fight another day
That was the last episode of ice pilots...you won't see anymore uploads.
When are we getting more episodes
okay tha was cool. now we all need to take a vote to have joe jump out of one of his dc3's i would pay to watch that.5 bucks. so everyone let joe know it is his turn to jump out. all by himself a 15000 ft free fall. no instructor, lol
Oh get some sir issac miickey
Normandie is in France..drop the there
Some did on the anniversary. . Incedentally, never call a Normain, French.- You're likley to carry your teeth home in your pocket.
That was great.
LOL AT HILLBILLIES, MIKEY...THAT WAS GRRRREAT...IT'S COOL DUDE I AM HALF REDNECK....NOT AT ALL OFFENDED...I GET THAT! : )) HATS OFF TO THE PEOPLE IN UNIFORM, TY FOR SERVING !
"Frontiers like these are made for men like Joe Mcbrian."??
Hate to say it folks but Big Joe acts like John Wayne and has about as many stones! "Is tandem jumping safe?". 🤣
Glad he and his son weren't at Normandy!
9:30 They should have considered the pilot's input before now.
this was the last one
I would jump, even if I'm already scared of looking down while i'm standing on solid ground.
I fully understand, Joe's concern, however isn't Buffalo's forte is to go where no other wants to go?
i really want to skydive
Corey is Joe’s step son he once told me.
ohyeah i was jumping with those US parachutes with yellow stripe :)) from 1200ft, nice action and around 12-14sec to land
Why whenever the dc 3 lands does smoke come of the tyres?
The tire isn't moving, and the plane is landing on a stationery surface, causing tire speed to go from 0-130, producing friction and smoke.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving was not for you
