I drove past his house in Prestbury years ago on my birthday with my gf at the time, i thought id knock on & see if he was there. He was a fantastic right back & centre half at times. That boy could tackle. He was confident on the ball going forward & was a great defender, he played with his heart. I saw him play many times home & away with United. I’ve never met him, but he sounds like a very grounded bloke who has no ego. Wish him all the best for his future. He might have lost a few quid but he’s got his dignity & that’s worth far more….
