He was a fantastic right back & centre half at times. That boy could tackle. He was confident on the ball going forward & was a great defender, he played with his heart. I saw him play many times home & away with United. I’ve never met him, but he sounds like a very grounded bloke who has no ego. Wish him all the best for his future. Don't forget Rio is a year older than Brown which makes a big difference when players are breaking through at 18/19. I met Wes in JFK in 2015. After Rooney refused a picture with me because he apparently '"Had to Go", I was only delighted that Wes obliged and wished me a safe flight. Top man.

I wished he spoke more about his financial issues as a lot to learn for others so they don’t make same mistakes.

Huge United fan here - these kind of players (Wes Brown, O’Shea, Fletcher, Park Ji-Sung etc.) are exactly the kind of players that we’re missing at the moment. Players that give everything they’ve got in every moment in a United shirt and less of these lazy, drama queens like Martial, Rashford and Sancho!!
