- While playing half life I experimented with commands and our very useful command like, ent_fire monster_headcrab setrelationship "player D_LI 99" headcrab is your friend, So you can turn enemies into allies or vice versa, allies into enemies, it’s also fashionable to do it with other NPCs, such as in the video, ent_fire monster_human_grunt setrelationship "monster_scientist D_LI 99" is a scientist’s military friend, and this command ent_fire monster_barney setrelationship "monster_scientist D_HT 99" will make a guard scientist's enemy

The black ops are just sent because the guys at Black Mesa were having too much fun
That last scientist bustin' a move was what mesmerized the HECU into rescuing the BM personel
It'd be cool if there's a mod where they actually rescue you

@Rabia Çelik You do realize how many species the combine conquered right? They conquered all of earth in 7 hours, they are an intergalactic empire with numbers so much greater than humanity
@Rabia Çelik Gordon can't take on the combine empire, the combine you see in the game are just earth forces, they have millions of not billions of other much stronger forces

The Blue Shift mod for Black Mesa introduces the HECU as saying they need your help before attempting to kill you

"Guard Duty" is an absolute gem. Can't wait to see how they remake the remaining chapters. Especially "Power Struggle"
@@luckylarry71 Actually it's "Black Mesa Blue Shift". Guard Duty is a different game that is being developed by a different team. Both of them aim to remake Blue Shift in Black Mesa.

HECU's mission to contain the aliens, secure the area, and rescue/evacuate all BM personnel and since they were "probably" working for BM, it's their duty to protect the scientist instead what Gov't wants.
Black Ops on the other hand was simply deployed to kill everyone as the gov't wants no witnesses in order to keep the incident secret from the public and also the responsible for nuking the BM.
And it would be a cool scenario when Gordon and other scientist/security reached Surface, the HECU force will came and escort them until Black Ops strikes and start to kill everyone.
Black ops can’t really do much in black mess because all they do is jump around with 2 pistols

I wouldn't say they were corrupt, but rather they were given orders to cover up the entire thing, which means wiping out both threats and witnesses.

Never thought you could use a console command to change the NPC’s relationship towards player and other NPCs in HL Source.
In the original Half-Life, you would probably have to dive into the source code to change the class of monster_human_grunt so it would be monster_human_ally, or something like that (it’s been a while since I’ve been diving into this tbh)
Is the game open source?
@@Sakuraigi just the source code of both .DLL files for HL1 - the client sided library and the server sided library.
So basically, the server sided and client sided game logic has the source code, but not the engine itself. However, that is how CS was made back in ‘99. Just an HL mod with re-written server and client game logic code.
Actually you can use the dev console in half life 1 also, sooo you can do it in the normal half life

If this were to happen in half-life 1, they would've closed the portals much more sooner probably the combine wouldn't even invade in the first place and or even notice earth at all

Opposing Force retcons relationship between Black ops and HECU, in Half-Life 1 they work together, but in OF they're enemies for unknown reason.

As the black mesa personel was rescued, they were transfered with all anomalous materials to one of the other scientific lambda branches, leading research further. As combine threat came in the humanity had better weapons, thus defeating the combine.
OR
As combine threat came in, the war was 9 hours long. Breen was shot down, thus leading to Consul ruling. (HL2 BETA)

The reason they kill the scientists and security guards is because not only were they sent there to kill the aliens they were also sent to kill every witness because they didn’t want to have citizens knowing that aliens exist .
