I suppose the vorts could have done the same, but I'm going to assume they either don't think about clothes much, naked as they are, or if they did consider it, that they kept him in uniform anyway to serve as a reminder.

You know, if Valve took the Gearbox expansions into consideration when making HL2, do you think Adrian Shepard would’ve made an appearance as an ally like Alex or Barney?
I already tried to make a possibility on how Half Life 3 would be, and it would include Adrian Shephard Basically during a portal storm on the episode 1 or 2, one of them would open to G Man's pocket dimension, and other rebels around there would see a osprey (that one Adrian was in the end of Opposing Force), and since Adrian was nice with scientists, it also would be with the rebels. But once Adrian finally spots Freeman, Shepard would be wanting to kill him because of that old mission thing, but after a some fights, and a whole chapter about it, in the end Adrian would surrender, since he just remembered that there is no point of killing Gordon, so Adrian would join to the resistance, and fight agaisnt the Combine along with the rebels
I like to believe he would have made a great leader of the Resistance - maybe woken up before Freeman to get his side of things ready for when G-Man drops Gordon into the thick of things. As someone with actual military expertise, probably one of the few remaining after the Combine took over, he could've made a great squad leader and potential instructor for people who just want to take up arms. He's used to being a leader if OpFor is any indicator, even if it was only for a short time.
Check out Noclip documentary, They were planning to bring him back on episode 4 develop by Arkane studios, he is supposed to be in ravenholm with Father Gregorio dealing with the zombies and possibly then joining with the resistance at the end
Corporal (Cpl.) Adrian Shepherd/Shephard and all the other HECU soldiers, officers, agents, guards, and so on/so forth really need their armor to cover up, mask, camouflage, and protect their entire bodies, all over and under, up and down, left and right, et-cetera.
There was a going to be one but it completely ruined Father Grigori’s character. And for that I’m a bit sad to say I’m kinda glad it was cancelled. I would’ve preferred a rewrite but oh well.

Gay Shephard is realistic and makes sense. His feelings towards men started developing at his boot camp, where he firstly tried the submissive role. Then during the resonanse cascade he was saved by the scientists at Black Mesa. Seeing those weak, fearful but also kind men he strived to protect them, so his feelings continued to develop. Not to mention female assasins trying to kill him, rude. The breaking point was at the brief moment when he saw Freeman's ass, Shephard's love for men became too immeasurable. G-Man had to lock him up for good after what Shephard's done with the giant worm. But no stasis can contain true men friendship, and Shephard is free again, not really interested in security guards, he sticks with his old scientist friends. Considering how young, buff, and well-preserved he is after stasis, Eli and Isaac give in and form three-way relationship (plus Lamar needs some rest). And then Freeman arrvies... So will Shephard will try to force an opposition between Gordon and females? He says his ass is heavy for a reason, after all.

The timeline:
Gay Shephard is realistic and makes sense. His feelings towards men started developing at his boot camp, where he firstly tried the submissive role. Then during the resonanse cascade he was saved by the scientists at Black Mesa. Seeing those weak, fearful but also kind men he strived to protect them, so his feelings continued to develop. Not to mention female assasins trying to kill him, rude. The breaking point was at the brief moment when he saw Freeman's ass, Shephard's love for men became too immeasurable. G-Man had to lock him up for good after what Shephard's done with the giant worm. But no stasis can contain true men friendship, and Shephard is free again, not really interested in security guards, he sticks with his old scientist friends. Considering how young, buff, and well-preserved he is after stasis, Eli and Isaac give in and form three-way relationship (plus Lamar needs some rest). And then Freeman arrvies...
So will Shephard will try to force an opposition between Gordon and females? He says his ass is heavy for a reason, after all.
