This is one of my favorite movie endings to this Christmas classic. Now every time I listen to the song, I would imagine people reuniting in the afterlife.
One of the most touching film ending ever…..great actors, great premises, real life emotion. I’m 66, been watching this for 20+ yrs. As good a “feel good” ending as I know.
I love this closing scene so much. It’s also why I do what I do in my relationship. My boyfriend travels abroad for work often throughout the year, sometimes being away for as long as a month. I pick him up from the airport when he returns but I don’t drive around to get him at the curb. I park in the garage and go wait outside the security line to greet him when he arrives. I don’t care about the extra $4 to park, or the walking to the car and such. I care that after being away for so long and missing me so much that I’m the first person he sees waiting and how it never fails to put a smile on his face. This year he comes back just before Christmas. So I told him I’m working and can’t pick him up; he has no idea I’m going dressed festive for Christmas to surprise him at the airport when he arrives. A tiny white lie that I think is worth making his Christmas all the more special. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. Never forget to show your loved ones how much you care all year round. ❤
@ no because 911 was only a couple years before this film came out so it made people think if only they’d landed where they were supposed to and greet their family and friends
The movie was a SPECIFIC response from all good things to the dire evil of 9/11. Which is why the Holy Spirit elected to get involved and raise the movie to a higher level - even beyond the (known) genius of the Director and many of the actors. "God ONLY knows" how to do that...
Love this film and the song 'God only knows' playing in this scene. Aurelia and Jamie's story melted my heart the most of the different stories in this film.
The film was about love. Not fairy tales. If we have to be resilient and long-suffering, the holy Spirit helps us with that too. And He's also an expert at raising the level of genius in already brilliant film Directors. Of course if the cause is good and noble - as it surely was with "Love Actually" [It's in the name, and it's in the aim - to remind people after 9/11 that airports and planes are more about love than about hate and evil and killing without mercy]
Just finished watching this movie for the umpteenth time and was crying (again) at the end like an idiot once the song started playing. Such a poignant ending.
And the funny thing is, during the funeral scene with Liam Neeson’s character, he said that one of his wife’s wishes was for him to bring Schiffer to the funeral…
Great and moving ending to a great film ❤
It is my #1 Christmas movie.
What a touching scene !! Such a magic scene..music is perfect ❤

Best film ending ever! Britain is the very best at making movies!🇬🇧
One of the most beautiful scenes. Because it’s real.
The perfect wrap for a wonderful film! I actually love this movie❤😊
One of my all time favorite movies and best ending ever! Still sad though that Laura Linney didn't get her happy ever after! 😥

Love this film🫶
Is this Claudia Schiffer?
Yes
And the funny thing is, during the funeral scene with Liam Neeson’s character, he said that one of his wife’s wishes was for him to bring Schiffer to the funeral…
Its time ...
Allan Rickman… 😢😢 prof. Snape…
God you weigh a lot! I love that line. I used to weigh 300 pounds. Now I'm half that. But I still feel that huge.
Definitely pre-9-11
Wrong, this is POST-9/11
@ no way!
@raeannaroylance5401 Yes way. Did you even watch the movie?
@@raeannaroylance it came out in 2003
