Nobody ever talks about the shade Captive! I love it so much. It is a satin finish and is a sort of purple but not a bright purple. More like a deep purple. Really recommend ♡

I'm surprised Tati does not have Ruby Woo and Russian Red. I don't own MAC lipstick but I really want Heroine. I think it suits meee

+abbyooooo She's not the biggest fan of red lipstick, so she doesn't have very many. She doesn't wear it often but when she does I think it looks amazing!
I actually liked that bright red one on you. When you smiled, your face just lit up. That second purple one was quite nice too. The pinky nudey ones were flattering as well, but not so much the paler ones that matched your warm complexion.....just my two cents ;)
p.s. I happen to dislike reds too...although they're probably quite flattering against my pale skin.
I hate reds too, on myself. They are lovely on others. Looks like a garish red gash on me. I hate Up The Amp also even though I love purple. It's just the wrong shade for me.

That has me wondering if MAC will ever come out with liquid lipsticks. I think they would since they are so on trend right now. I know I would love them as well however my lips are extremely dry and no matter how much I exfoliate or moisturize, it only amplifies the dryness. I would love any recommendations though for any liquid lipsticks that don't feel like pure cement. Lol. :)

velvet teddy is like a whirl version for lighter skin people. I have medium olive skin (nc35-nc40) and whirl is my favorite, but on any of my fair friends it's just too dark. my mum used to wear whirl a lot, but since I bought her velvet teddy she doesn't go near whirl (my mum is nc25)

Funny how all the shades she didn't find flattering for herself are the ones I want sooo bad.. I think those colors like verve & whirl are more complimentary to deeper skin tones, and the colors shy girl and creme cup are more flattering on lighter skin tones. Of course, at the end of the day, wear whatever you feel beautiful in ❤️ Goregous collection Tati. I want them all.

I actually loved whirl on you! But I know you prefer peach lip colors and I prefer dark lip colors so it may just be personal preference.

Mac lipsticks are like leather jackets.You want at least one, probably more and they smell great.Over time you make them your own.
I think you would really enjoy Captive. It's a satin, which is my favorite formula. It's purplish with warm undertones. I just love it, especially for fall and winter.
I think the brown one looked gorgeous!! It would be great with an orangey-smoky eye. I also would love to see a tutorial of the creamy orange blend look :)
+Tati I'm hoping you'll do MAC blushes next, because I still can't figure out what that favourite blush you held up in one of your other videos was. You said it was your all time favourite. It was kind of brown in color. Any chance you could let me know here?
Find that video and chances are it's listed in the description. A really popular blush is Mac Melba which is flattering on light to medium skin tones
I checked all of them back to Nov. Cant find anything, Doesn't matter. I went to mac and checked out a bunch of brown toned blushes but they're too muddy on my fair skin.

I have the amp the amp lipstick and it looks completely different on me than it looks on Tati. I find it very wearable in the summer :)

I think you can definitely wear a brown lip. Just go lighter on the blush.

My personal favorites are Whirl,Velvet Teddy and Sin. The first two are really nude nice colors and Sin is a dark red and I really like it too.But you know it all depends on what colors you think will go more with your everyday makeup

Hey Tati! First of all I love you, ok, moving on… I know how much you love the Guerlain primer that has gold in it and yesterday I was at Target and I saw that NYX came out with a similar concept (primer with golden flecks in it) called Honey Dew Me Up Skin Serum & Primer. I would love for you to try it and let us know what your thoughts are since it would definitely be more budget friendly than the Guerlain one.

Funny enough, I picked up four new MAC lipsticks last night and I really do love them all! I got Myth, Spirit, Creme in your coffee, and Pink Plaid. All great every day type colors.

***** lol considering 97 was nearly 20 years ago, the very small increase in price is surprising. Mac prices are reasonable. People living in States don't realise how good they have it. High end lipsticks for 21-34 bucks each? If it was in NZ even with the conversion over, its at least 15-20 dollars more.

I actually love purple lips & when I wear them I get so many compliments but I buy purple lips that are more of a true purple or like dark plum purples .. I'm not a fan of purple with the pink undertones .. I think when you find the perfect purple you would change your mind ! 😊

Everyone has different ideas about what is pretty. I'm a fair skinned red head with blue eyes and I just look ridiculous in purple lips. I do love to see a dark haired lady wearing a nice berry lipstick though.

Verve and amorous are a couple of my faves, along with faux. It all depends on my mood and what liner I pair them with, but love them! Have worn these 3 on and off for the past 18 years!
