- Hey Guys! I hope you all enjoy this swatch video. These are all of the MAC lipsticks I currently own. I have them broken down into color groups:
Nudes are first, Peaches and Peachy nudes begin at 3:10, Pinks and Roses at 5:17, and Brights and Darks at 8:57
I know my application isn't perfect, and I decided not to use lip liner so that you could see the true color. I am also aware that my lips are VERY uneven, so please don't bother pointing it out. It's the main reason I always use lipliner....in an attempt to fix the asymmetry. Those really pale colors NEED a lip liner or they look just awful. I simply cannot wear Myth or Fleshpot on their own!
I apologize for my hair looking a mess as well, I am trying not to blow dry it as much so this is the best I could do today without using any heat styling tools!
For my nude lipsticks I usually use MAC Stripdown, Oak, Etcetera or Oh Honey lip liners.
For the pinks I use Whirl, Soar or Half Red
For the peachy colors I use Boldly Bare or Stripdown

I know I am 7 years late watching this one but I LOVED IT !!!!!! Our era sure loved our MAC and I will always run back to it when I try new things for awhile. My fave will always be Velvet Teddy!!!!
I know it's a few years ago, but I appreciate that it's still valid today. I rely on these swatches every time I shop for a color. With so many, it's hard to choose, and these kinds of videos make it easier to work out what the difference between Kinda Sexy and Please Me, for instance. Also it reminded me how much I liked Faux. I used it up and need to get another.

Love that you don't use filters. It shows the real color which is really helpful for us.
I liked seeing them being applied. When I just see the finished product, I don't know how many rounds it took to get up to the level of color.
You shouldn't have to appologize for anything. No one is perfect or symmetrical completely 😉

Good job! I really liked it because it's helpful to see what colors certainly look like on lips rather than arms or paper but I have to say that I've swatched some lipsticks on my arms hahaha

I loved the video.. Got to see all the colors in their original shade, but only thing I found missing is to see the whole face also after apply the shade to see its effect overall. But it was very helpful to choose my colours ☺️

I loved how you did it exactly.... Guess the only thing maybe would be to also get a shot of your whole face as well not just the lower half of your face but it was great....dying to buy a couple soon after seeing on you... whirl in particular!
I liked that you showed many colors that I've never seen on any other video. If you were to choose two colors, which would you recommend? I'm going to a MAC store in a few weeks and want to be able to narrow it down a bit.

I like that you swatched each one on the lips. The shots where you showed your face with the lipstick on was good too. I do prefer actual lip swatches compared to arm swatches so you get a feel for what they look like. In the past I haven't been big into lipstick so I am almost like a beginner with knowing what colors will look good on me. I do know I don't like the way red look on me. lol. The necklace you are wearing is so pretty. :)
Thank you Carol! I'm actually not a big lipstick wearer any more either. These days I wear liquid lipstick alone or with a gloss on top. I just find they last longer. Maybe I will do a swatch video of my liquid lipsticks in the future....although that could REALLY hurt my lips, I think I must have 75 of them!! 😳

Maybe use that pink you didn't like to highlight the center of darker lipsticks for an ombré effect? Maybe you could get some use of it that way. Hope your lips survived!!!! Loved the swatches. 💗💗
Thank you! That's what i do with Myth and Fleshpot. I have to wear them over something just in the center, or add liner and a darker gloss or else I look dead!

errrr she clearly tells you the name on the screen and shows you the lipstick label that tells you the finish.

I prefer the try on so I can see texture and opacity. I have pigmented lips and opacity is something I look for. Thank you for showing us so many colors.

That is actually a great idea! I think I will film one this week, like a fall fashion and accessories video. I can't remember where that necklace is from! I'm sorry....I buy so much that I forget what I have! I find a lot of good pieces at TJ Maxx actually and I think that might be where I got that one.

Hi I thought it was well done and swatches are more realistic on the lip than an arm. I've never bought a mac lipstick as the customer service has always been shit. As a 44 yr old women the assistants in there ignore me (Edinburgh - Harvey Nics) so I might order online. In case anyone wonders I wear makeup when I'm there, but I just get so much better service elsewhere in the store. They sell a lot of prestige brands, many of whom I have bought from when I found something I liked. Many thanks and best wishes.
I'm so sorry to hear that! I've worked at many makeup counters in my life and the first rule is to never judge someone and treat everyone equally. MAC is supposed to be a brand for all ages and races and shame on them for hiring people that would treat customers that way.

Yes, kind of!! That's why I did the dark and bright colors last...those required the most rubbing to remove. I don't think I will be wearing lipstick at all today! Lol
