    the worst part when having pimples is when people started asking and telling you why do you have so much pimples and even trying to analyze the cause. like I have a mirror, I can see them too, u dont have to tell me and then I got too emotional

      harorokirin I know this isn't a new comment, but I just read this and I truly feel your pain.
      My mum always mentions to me when I have new pimples , i always say to her " obviously I already know, I do have a mirror "
      It is upsetting to have people talk about your face, people act like if you have acne you're not clean. I'm incredibly hygienic and take good care of my skin, I can't help having acne.
      People can be so mean.

    • @BasicIW
      @BasicIW 10 лет назад +1

      Were made up of water =D (not 100% tho)
      The reason why people have to drink it is to regulate the bodies pH within (+good for circulation and giving your body the needed products- its a way of blood flowing lets say)and its best not to always exfoliate your face tho and cleansing ,maybe give yourself days where you dont always wear your makeup everyday and give your skin a break and just use a toner every night before you go to bed. =)

I struggle with acne and feeling naturally beautiful, and it feels amazing to watch and learn from someone like you who has been there and is now interested in sharing her tips and lessons learned over the years. I may be launching into my own sort of beauty/skincare vlog and I will definitely use some of the inspiration I've found watching you. Always vulnerable, always caring, always optimistic! my favorite rule for skin care is something that might seem strange but trust me it has done wonders : at night after cleansing once with makeup remover and again with cleanser and my clarisonic and toning my skin i apply Vaseline to my eye area it keeps the eyes soft and hydrated Vaseline heals the skin also so if you have dry skin or eyes that are constantly irritated definitely try this i've also seen a difference in my dark circles after doing this. its awesome.

    • @melaniethompson4636
      @melaniethompson4636 10 лет назад +1

      Is the Vaseline in place of eye creams or serums? Leave on overnight? Would love something for dark circles that actually works! :-)

    • @IHEARTAIRBRUSH
      @IHEARTAIRBRUSH 10 лет назад +2

      yeah i was using an eye cream before and i started getting really sensitive around my eye area i started using the Vaseline to help with the irritated and dry skin under my eyes from the eye cream and i was amazed at the change so i swapped eye creams out for Vaseline and it helps my skin so much that i just use it all the time now i love it i did noted a change in my dark circles they are not nearly as dark as they used to be im so happy cause who would have though right? i just put it at night n leave it over night its hydrating and healing i love it!

    I can personally vouch for the amazing difference double cleansing and oil make for ALL skintypes. SO important, and not enough people are diligent or open to these things. I would also recommend looking into chemical exfoliants to anyone, not effective at the same deeper level as retinol but does wonders with cell turnover and therefore with hyperpigmentation, texture, breakouts etc. New to your channel and I seem to be systematically watching every video you've ever made! Love it Tati

    I struggle with breakouts, mainly at that time of the month and after just doing a detox where I cut out sugar, bread, alcohol, caffeine and fruits for two weeks my skin looked amazing! Obviously I am not going to cut out these things completely forever, but seeing the change made me more conscious of how my food/drink choices impact my skin. To stay hydrated I love keeping iced herbal teas in the fridge or fruit infused waters (because sometimes plain old water is boring!). I've also stopped using any cleansers that strip my skin and this has helped me keep a better moisture balance. Love you Tati!

    Everyday I can I only wear sunscreen on my skin. I cleanse in the morning and put on sunscreen, then cleanse at bedtime and put on my night time skin care. My skin looks better and the days I wear makeup my skin looks great from not wearing makeup everyday, smoother and less breakouts. My advice is don't wear makeup every day! Women look beautiful without it anyway!

      Don't worry too much about that. I think everyone has different skin conditions and what is bad for me might not matter to you at all. Tati, I just did my first IPL a few weeks ago and I absolutely LOVED it! I'm 40 yrs old and had some hyperpigmentation from sun damage & acne scarring and I am happy to say that most of it is now gone!! I think it will ALL be gone in one more treatment. I, too, did a lot of research & was pretty scared but it turned out to be a cinch! I strongly advise that you get the numbing cream & then you won't feel any pain! Your face will look like it has pepper flakes on it that will eventually fall off after about a week.. I didn't find that I looked bad (I guess it depends on the severity of your pigmentation) but makeup helps tone it down & once it falls off, your skin looks so much younger! I can't wait for my next one! ;)

    Same as you, I have always had oily skin and avoided oils and lotions like the plague! As soon as I started hydrating my skin regularly and using oil to remove my makeup I noticed my skin was 100% better and the breakouts stopped. I also feel like having a consistent skin care routine that I follow every morning and night helps. The minute I stray from it my skin gets mad at me for neglecting it!

My biggest thing is SPF, I don't go in the sun that much. I do have a little bit on sun spots which is a bummer. They are on my cheekbones so I try to exfoliate and do a mask every week. I love your tips, thanks Tati!

    My Rule is to not wear makeup too often. My skin looks so much better now that I rarely use foundation than it did when I was always wearing it, trying to cover what was made worse by it! Its a bad cycle! Love you Tati, you do have such beautiful skin! ♥♥♥

    Thx, Tati! Let me also add, girls, that DAIRY is a real big problem for our acne prone skin. I started drinking almond milk, rice milk and my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY! AND the only reason I quit dairy is because I am lactose intolerant, otherwise I would have NEVER found out how bad dairy was for me. My problem now, occasionally is hormone acne. but I too use a Strivectin retinol and it also helps. I only wish someone could or WOULD recommend a facial oil and where to buy it. I live in Southern CA. THX!!

    I have struggled with Acne for 12 years. How fitting that you would make this video today because I made an appointment with the dermatologist to try and get rid of my acne once and for all. My #1 tip is not to overwash/treat the face. We may hate our acne so much that we want to scrape it off but overwashing just leads to increased oil production.

    Great video Tati! I am a beauty therapist and I still struggle day to day with hormonal breakouts and hyper pigmentation! Even tho I've studied the anatomy and physiology to understand how the body works and how acne is formed etc, great videos like this one always enlightens me, also reminding me that even though I'm nearing my 30s, there are still real people, like myself who struggle from problematic skin. That's why I became a beauty therapist, so I can help make people understand and accept themselves and inform them on great tips like drinking water and eating green vegetables. Every one needs a wee reminder sometimes. Thank you. Great tips.

    What I love about the moisturizing tip (the next to last one) is that I was exactly the same way! During my last couple years of high school I started to break out on my cheeks and I would not moisturize at all because I thought it would like feed the pimples or something but once I started watching RUclips videos in college I was like....WHAT!!! I'm happy that eventually I found out how important moisturizing is and I wish I had known it when I was younger.

    While it is perfectly fine to wash your face and to wear makeup, a lot of cleansers can be stripping.
    When one uses a stripping cleanser (parabens, sulfates, etc) or a highly chemical-based cleanser, the pH levels of the skin shift and the acid mantle on one's skin is disrupted, therefore disabling the skin's major source of defense against bacteria attempting to enter the pore.
    There's a reason why dermatologists say don't use soap to wash one's face. It's because soap is highly basic, meaning it has a pH level over 7, whereas the human skin is considered acidic with a pH of around 5.5 on the 14-scale. Soaps may draw up the dirt and oils of the skin, but it also strips the oils necessary that are required for consistent maintenance and health of the epidermis' acid mantle.
    In essence: don't use soap cleansers (some may not be affected as much, others can be demolished by it's stripping effects...) And be gentle. Your skin is meant to produce oils. I know it can be scary as hell to feel that odd sensation after using a very gentle cleanser, but it's worth it in time. Sometimes it's best to even wear less makeup, regardless of one's skin condition, however unrealistic not wearing makeup can be for some. It will influence you to not reach for the harsh chemicals as much. Stop screwing with the acid mantle of your skin if you're using stripping cleansers, because your skin will thank you for it. :)

    Hi Tati! I'm actually catching up on your videos and I just watched this one. I just wanted to thank you for sharing this with all of us bc I feel like you went through what I've been going through the last 5 years. I had normal acne as a teen but now I'm in my 20's and my acne has never been worse and you said it perfectly bc my emotions have everything to do with how my skin looks. I get really depressed and upset and just want to hide away in my room sometimes bc of my acne and this hurts me more bc when I was in high school I had good skin and was really proud of that and always walked around with my head held up high with a huge smile on my face. I am not like that any more. BUT I'm going to take your advice and see how it will affect my skin. I really hope it works bc I want to be that sassy confident woman again. Love you!! Xoxo

    Great advice, Tati! I agree, water is so important! I am a huge stickler with the way I take care of my skin. I have had 2 liver transplants and with my meds and just having health issues it takes a huge toll on my skin. One of my skin care rules is, I apply all my products right after I get out of the shower while the bathroom is still nice and steamy to keep the moisture in. I do the same with my body lotion. I live in Colorado where it's extremely dry. I also change my pillow case every 2 days, (silk pillow cases are the best for your skin because cotton pulls moisture out) and like you I use a clean towel every day on my face.

    i agree with all you rules, i try to commit to do it every day but it's really hard for me. the one thing i try to always do is cleanse my face at morning and night with effaclar gel from laroche-posay. i loooovee it!! it's a soap free gel, really foamy, smells really nice and leaves your skin feeling sooo clean!! another rule is to always take off my makeup at night. i know it's obvious but i didn't do it before, because i was so tired i thought it didn't matter...but it does!! i loved this video!! i love all your videos!! ;)
