Only just discovered your channel, keep the bike rebuild vids going! Absolutely love it, it’s refreshing from seeing car rebuild videos all the time, love the content man !!
Thank you so much! I have been very slow over the last couple of months due to a terrible, cold and wet UK Winter and Spring! However, I am back in the garage and should have this project completed soon! New video incoming in 10, 9, 8, 7.....
That stator cover went on quite easy. I needed to insert threaded rod in block and use as guide to stop magnet from pulling cover off center. New subscriber based on BikerStuff recommendation, great channel.
Haha.. Yeah. In this case it did. Fiddly little buggers aren't they? It might also have been clever editing! I do try to show my mistakes and all. Too many RUclips videos make things look dead easy and then when you try they are a right faff.
Good work! Can i make a suggestion though, could you turn the music volume down. Constantly having to turn my speaker volume up and down from when the musics playing to when your talking is a bit of a pain lol. Like i said though good work and look forward to the next one 👌
Its not too difficult, but can be fiddly, especially if the engine is still in the bike. You need to take the cover off the engine head (the top bit), then expose the timing chain, remove the decompression assembly being careful NOT to drop the chain. Then you can remove a cover plate, remove the rocker arm pins and rocker arms and then you can get the camshaft out. You can see me working on this area in my other video... ruclips.net/video/achJk5PVXIY/видео.html
Thanks for your comment. I can only suggest watching plenty of RUclips videos and buying the workshop manual. The manual is your bible and the RUclips videos help you visualise what each step should look like. Hard to say the cost of tools. I have just been building them up over time. But you don't need to start with the best and most expensive of everything. Buy a cheap(ish) set of basic tools and then upgrade them over time.

Thanks for the suggestion and feedback. I'm new to this!
I'll absolutely make sure I normalise the volume in future videos. Appreciate the feedback.

You got a discord? Just bought a 2012 YZF R125 and it's a non runner, wanted to ask some questions!
I do. Come say hello and if I can help, I will.
