To Honda, Kawasaki & Suzuki..... Please start building 2 strokes again Give the people what they want... To Yamaha... You guys are legendary ! Words cant describe how much we the people love you for keeping the dream alive !! If you made a 2stroke liquid cooled 500 that has electric start and EFI (that runs clean), we would lose our minds !!! Try to also imagine a model that's street legal and has Supermoto wheels & brakes from factory !!!! I just blew my own mind just thinking about it 🤔😲🤯
I just finished a VERY similar build on a 03 YZ250 Almost exactly the same. Upgraded plastics included. I'm yet to hit the trails with it. I powdered coated the frame, wheels, hubs etc. Hydro blasted everything, and gave it a much better graphics job.
the build was nice and well done but i would never change the way the older yzs look. silver rims and old style plastics are essentials on building 2 strokes for me. you just cant beat the way the bikes from the early 2000s looked
Pro-Tip if you missed it - Soak your fiber plates in oil over night! They’re porous and need to suck up some oil. They’ll have perfect feel from lap one and will last longer 🤙🏻
My neighbor has an 05 yz125. Mint still has original tires on it and very low hours. Always in the garage. I should of bought it when he said $2400. Now hes not selling. This is exactly what i would do to it. Your bike looks great
Maintenance is key. If you're keeping up on basic maintenance like oil changes, air filter clean, and clean gas your bike should last a long time. Cheers!
If you could list some of the cleaning stuff and what you used that’d be cool. I’m just learning to wrench on a bike and I got an 05 yz125cc with the Athena big bore
Not sure which year YZ you are asking about but for the 2005. The shroud bolts right up. The front fender did not line up with the 05 triple clamp so ended up getting a restyle front fender instead. Hope this helps!
There's mechanics, and then there's you. An absolute perfectionist. So clean 👌
i feel the same way about bonzie's garage because of how particular he is with rebuilding banshees.
This is fucking crazy I would like to have a mechanic like this one close to me
Let me know how much can cost a rebuild like this one
Thanks
That vapor blasting is really a game changer, makes parts look like new or better
She came out perfect dude, Great restoration/mechanic work!

Yes niceeeeee
electric start on a 500cc is almost impossible to have due to the 500cc compression but yea what a dream
@@patatedouce487 There is a kit made for the CR500
They kinda do, here Yamaha and Kawasaki still sell brand new 2stroke bikes from 125cc to 600cc
@@wills5482 600cc 2 strokes ??
Really ??
Wow! Excellent work! So relaxing to watch you revive bikes.
Appreciate the kind words! 🙏🏻Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks better than my 2020 yz125

Bike can be made to be a 21.Nothing except cosmetic changes from 05 to 21
Me not knowing anything about motorcycle but just starting to get into them this is a good video
excellent re-build! i like how you used original yamaha parts and anodized the wheels.
I like your parts choice and styling, wouldn't change a thing in it!!

Knowledge is power. You really know your craft and the equipment is amazing. Great work!
Thank you! Cheers!

Man, you made me want to do this. Absolutely amazing all the results
we need more mechanics like you bro!
Руки из золота! Молодец!
I bought a 2002 Yz250 holy shit 2 stokes are awesome
Man....sweet! Well done, talented!! What a shop and tools!
you're a master! definitely deserve more subs. well done
Appreciate that!!
Super clean! After all that OEM goodness it might have been better to buy a new bike instead.
awesome job!!! very professional
Dude, that turned out so so sick. You gotta keep videos like this coming
Thank You! More coming for sure!
What a beautiful build!
By any chance you know what that idle screw set up is off of? Mine is the stock locknut style …
Good job young man!!
Wow!!! Would love to have you do a bike for me, perfect job!!!!!! I have a 05 and love it I have no complaints on the 05 forks!
Just so satisfying to watch. 👌🏼 excellent job!
Glad you enjoyed it! 👌🏻
what kind of solution was the frame soaked in to make it look clean and new? in the process of rebuilding my 450.
The frame was first soaked in a degreaser to clean and then vapor blasted to give the final look.
What’s the estimated cost to do all of this?
Great job bike looks very nice 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Incredible work. Better than new.
Damn she purty, look like a new bike 😍
Got a 99 yz80 and you given me the itch to revive it
Trying the wheels is definitely a pain haha it took me a whole week to do mine on my kx250
Life is much better with vapour blasting!
Agree!
Good job !!
Jolie bécane ( in french )
Nice bike
Great work,I really enjoyed the video
Thank You. Im glad you enjoyed it! ^^ 👍🏻
Super cool. Nice job young man.
Thank you! 🙌🏻
Amazing JOB!!
I must ask you. When metal is vaporblasted or sandblasted, do you spray some protective clearcoat over it or what?
How did clean the brake pumps, calipers and radiators? Are painted or vapor blasted?
How much does a project like this cost? great work!
great work, great vid! amazing final product
...but what about the bottom end???
The bike was low hour and it was the first top end on the bike. Bottom end spec'd out so no need to replace. 👍🏻
Very nice!
No greasing the long bolts that go through the swingarm ? O.o
Outstanding job !!!!
You need more subs man, amazing video
Did you change the tank from the original 05, Scrub?
Wow wow 👌
WHAT IS THE BEAT THAT COMES IN AT 8:56 😮💨🤯🤩
What product di you use ti clean aluminium parts?! Thanks !!! Soooo coool
1:00 Where did you get the OEM plastics from?
complimenti dall’italia ❤️🩹🤍🤍🤍
So clean 😙👌🏻
Magnifique projet 👌
Linda sua YZ 125! parabéns! excelente trabalho!
Hi, what type of plastics did you use? Because i have an yz like your and i want to restyle it, thanks
Plastics are oem from a 2020 YZ125x
สุดยอดเลยครับ ชอบและถูกใจมากๆครับ
dostum 1998 modellere 2015 üstü grenajlar uyuyormu?
What to clean with as well
Incredible
Sometimes what we just only need is a good rebuild, from a professional mechanic. And not to spend a lot of money 💰 🤑 in a new motorcycle
Que linda que te quedó!
Nice my dream bike..
That’s hella slick
Very very good job sir, you're a pro
Thank you very much!
Great video👍
Where did you get those bearing tools
Ik it was the first year they came out with the aluminum frame but everyone rebuilds the 05😂
Quick question, can one change the plastics on a 05 yz to a newer models plastics or are there fitment issues?
The bike in the video is an ‘05 with 2020 plastics. No issues 👍🏻
Love the build! Where do you get your parts?
The parts come from multiple retailers not just one place!
@@MotoScrub How much on average does a restoration like this cost? I know obviously that can greatly vary depending on how much your upgrading.
@@MotoScrub where do you get the light speed cover??
Very dedicated, nice work
4:09 What additive did you use to clean that way
Thinking of getting a yz 125 as a first bike, just asking for some tips or advice about the bike so I can take good care of it.
Maintenance is key. If you're keeping up on basic maintenance like oil changes, air filter clean, and clean gas your bike should last a long time. Cheers!
So clean man i like it🤤
Did he paint the parts or just clean them
How do I learn all of this wish I could I only know basic maintenance
Dream😍
Where you find those plastics
Awesome video and very nice 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Very satisfying video to watch! Inspiring work. How many days did this take?
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it! The build takes less than a week but can take a month or more depending on parts availability.
what color and color scheme did you used for ???
Did you have to adjust the holes? Or by changing the frame and tank is everything perfectly fitted?
If you have a 2005 and up YZ125/250 you will not have to modify any holes for the plastics. Just need a 2105 and up airbox. Good luck! 👍🏻
@@MotoScrub thank you so much
very nice, you are awesome !
Thank you! 🙌🏻
At 4:12 what type of chemicals or liquid did you use to clean everything?
If you could list some of the cleaning stuff and what you used that’d be cool. I’m just learning to wrench on a bike and I got an 05 yz125cc with the Athena big bore
sooo clean dude 😍
Well done, bravo. How many hours did this take? Subscribed. Cheers
Where do you learn how to do this?
Pekerjaan yang bagus bro 👍
Dari Indonesia 🇮🇩
Thank you! 🙌🏻
can you recommend a site for the restyling kit for the yz 125 1998
Is normal the powervalve leaking ?
Hey man, where is the plastic kit and seat from?
The plastics and seat were all sourced from different places. There is no "kit" that sells all oem in a package. Aftermarket companies do though.
fantastic, does the kit restyling fit also without the airbox?
Without the airbox you wont be able to fit the side number plates and rear fender wont line up properly.
Did you vapor blast the bottom end too?
What plastics kit is that? Looks like a oem rear fender
All plastics are OEM except the front fender. Had to use a restyle front fender as the bolt hole pattern is different on the newer models
The 2020 plastics bolts right up no problem?
Not sure which year YZ you are asking about but for the 2005. The shroud bolts right up. The front fender did not line up with the 05 triple clamp so ended up getting a restyle front fender instead. Hope this helps!
@@MotoScrub thanks for the reply. I was just curious in general so the 2020 shrouds bolt right to the 05 gas tank
Yes
Good job !!!! ✌🏻✌🏻😁✌🏻
Hi dear. if I make order from your rebuilds dirtbike, how can and how much?
Good job... amazing👍
Thank You! 🙌🏻
