Thanks my man.
cool man!!
Thanks my man.
If i want to educate myself about fixing my ninja, where do you suggest i begin? Any good resources to watch and follow? Thanks!
Honestly, Just keep searching for videos on RUclips. I also recommend joining some Ninja 300 groups on Facebook as there's lots of people there willing to help.

How did you get the rocker arms off?. Do I need a special tool ?
No special tool required. You just need to remove a cover plate on the front and then the spindles just slide out the front allowing you to pull the rocker arms up and out. Take a look at 7:04 in the video where I put them back in, and just do the reverse.
Does the throttle not have to be wide open when doing a compression test ? . I know it does on dirtbikes
Yes it does. You are absolutely right. Not something I was aware of at the time :)
how do you adjust the idle on them?
Where the throttle cable attaches to the top of the engine, there is an "idle screw". you can tighten / untighten this to adjust the idle. If the cable stretches over time then you might need to do this. Or replace the throttle cable if its stretched too much. You don't want that snapping a long way from home.
I want ingine ?
Sorry, it sure what you’re asking. Thanks for watching!
I need to replace my camshaft and I can’t find any video for it for this engine please help
Its not too difficult, but can be fiddly, especially if the engine is still in the bike. You need to take the cover off the engine head (the top bit), then expose the timing chain, remove the decompression assembly being careful NOT to drop the chain. Then you can remove a cover plate, remove the rocker arm pins and rocker arms and then you can get the camshaft out. You can see me working on this area in my other video... ruclips.net/video/achJk5PVXIY/видео.html
looks like north 200 in ride 5
This was on the A683 between Kirkby Lonsdale and Seburgh if I remember correctly.
my family don't ride motorcycle but my cousins and bro in law ride and looking at you riding it seems fun. someday i might buy one and learn how to ride. thank you
You won't regret it :)
Thank you. It really is a LOT of fun. You just have to be cautious and aware of your surroundings.
😢too shory video without details????
There is a long form video with much more detail. Check that out. Thanks for commenting.
Love ❤❤❤ bro
Thanks!
just curious do you make any money off these streams i am thinking about streaming my prints

I don’t. At the minute I am way too small to even be monetised. So. It’s just adding to the content backlog. I’ll let you know when I get monetised, but I seriously doubt streaks like this would generate any significant revenue.
Brilliant video mate
Thank you so much!!! I really need to get the project finished finally!
subed
Thank you! Hopefully the weather gets better soon and I can get out on some more road trips.

Hello brother excuse how you do to send you the motorcycle as I get you in the truck?? I want to buy one for project but they are far from where I live 😢
So many options depending on your situation. You can get them delivered from an auction for a fee. A trailer on the back of your car if you have a tow bar. They will fit on a pickup truck if you leave the tailgate open. You can rent a van for a day and transport it yourself.

I bought one from the dvla impound, stored outdoors for nearly two years, complete bike but tatty as a (insert something tatty) Just rebuilt the callipers, I thought the bike weighed a ton but ‘twas the brakes….done a servic and the Maine’s quite tappy…..is there adjustment on the valves
Hah. Nice job with the callipers. If its a bit "tappy" then its definitely worth taking the top off the head and checking the valve clearances. Its pretty fiddly to get into it with the engine in the frame, but its do-able.

Only just discovered your channel, keep the bike rebuild vids going! Absolutely love it, it’s refreshing from seeing car rebuild videos all the time, love the content man !!
Thank you so much! I have been very slow over the last couple of months due to a terrible, cold and wet UK Winter and Spring! However, I am back in the garage and should have this project completed soon! New video incoming in 10, 9, 8, 7.....

@@StokedBuilds I look forward to the upload
@@BleachDemon99 good news is that it’s live already!
Hi bud is it safe to do the vavle clearance the way you did ty
Absolutely. As long as you get the clearances right according to the service manual, you are golden.
i Have done 4:17 its mad that it fixes the valve seating
I know. The fact that gritty grease can file away the bare metal is mind blowing. But. It works!
R u selling that yamaha that u rebuilt .??
I will be. I am about to upload a new video in the next couple of hours with a full run-through of where its at. Hopefully, it will be all finished in the next month and will be up for sale.
how do you open the forks i dont have a top screw or at least i can’t see it
It’s fiddly. If you check out my video linked below you can see me doing it With the fork in the bike, take off the handlebars and dust cap. Then push down on the top of the fork to compress the spring and that exposes a retaining clip. Prise that out and the whole thing comes apart. ruclips.net/video/9Uo7q4cZMG4/видео.htmlm48s
clueless
Thank you. Isn’t that the beauty of having a go and learning something new?
dude, did you just stand on your torque wrench to undo those lug nuts? 😂😂
Lol. Sometimes you have to do what works. And I probably should have pointed out in the video that after this I replaced the wheel hubs and wheel bolts as well. So I wasn't too bothered about messing them up.
Where can I get help to rebuild mine and how much did it cost list of tools needed?
Thanks for your comment. I can only suggest watching plenty of RUclips videos and buying the workshop manual. The manual is your bible and the RUclips videos help you visualise what each step should look like. Hard to say the cost of tools. I have just been building them up over time. But you don't need to start with the best and most expensive of everything. Buy a cheap(ish) set of basic tools and then upgrade them over time.
Hey! First of all nice build! But please be carefull when quenching the bolts. They become prone to snapping and can become very brittle, depending the temperature and rate of cooling of course.
Great advice! Thanks for calling that out.
Hey Mark, enjoying the vids. Known you years, didn’t realise you did bikes and spanners too ha
Hey! How's it going? I didn't... until last year!
You selling the bike after its all completed?
I certainly will be. I am on the final push to have it ready for Spring!
You got a discord? Just bought a 2012 YZF R125 and it's a non runner, wanted to ask some questions!
I do. Come say hello and if I can help, I will. discord.gg/RdJqGNb4
mine use to start first time on the button no problems then started needing throttle to start it, then wouldnt idle would drop randomly and cut out. Garage had it for 6 weeks and said it was a cracked ht lead wire and spring missing from plug, 1 week later does the same again, now i cant get it to start at all to get it to my local garage 6 miles away. It does back fire when trying to start sometimes not very often though. im gonna try a new coil pack soon, any ideas before i buy one? thanks in advance.
There are quite a few things that this could be, so you just have to work through each of them one by one until you find the fault. Start with spark. So, check you are getting a spark from the plug. Sounds like you've tried a new HT lead and plug, so can assume that's ok. You can check the resistance on the stator to make sure there aren't any faults there. But it sounds like you are getting spark because it does run a bit. Then check you are getting air. If you have a carburettor then give that a good clean out and check the petcock. Make sure you are getting the right gas to air mixture. If you are running too rich or to lean (too much or too little fuel) that could be your problem. Then you need to check compression. Make sure your valve clearances are right, Get a compression tester to see if you are getting the right compression. Check there are no scratches and scuffs to the piston cylinder and that the piston rings are good.
I’m surprised you didn’t crack your coolant resovoir I’m on my 3rd one lol
Haha... so far so good!
Could really do with an impact wrench, they make short work of those bolts.
I do. And a Vice!!
The decompression mechanism you was talking about is automatic. Its on the cog of the top timing chain, its a metal slider that opens the exhaust valve a fraction to allow easier starting. The mechanism is working on this engine, i saw that when you was doing the timing chain.
Thanks for the explanation. Its an impressive little bit of engineering.
How did you set the valves without first setting the timer chain? that means your valves will be out as you need TDC to set the clearances to begin with. Its pointless doing one without the other.
Well.... I ended up with a bent valve!!! So... Yeah.
Hey dude, great video. Am i okay to get in contact with you for some help please? In desperate need
