I had no idea how much stuff I was going to have to buy when I started optometry school, I thought it was just a lens kit and BIO. I would have loved to see this before I started at PCO last August. And for anyone stressing about buying diagnostic kits/BIO in my experience what feels comfortable in your hand or on your head is your best bet!
The glass you picked after the stethoscope, that you had no idea about what it is, it’s a cross cylinder ( + and - ). You can measure the cilinder with it on the lensholder! :) Nice video!
Can I ask where you bought the lens set from?? like what is the brand/company? I'm from Australia and I love the American optometry equipment set so much better! I think it's Heine, but I don't seem to find it on the Heine website :
In Viet Nam, the 1st year optometry student still needn't buy any equipment. Because we haven't learned about it yet :> but I hope I will be learnt soon.

Completely agree! Comfort is the best and the rest is up to skills/practice! I hope you're killing optometry school :)

Nice!! Thanks for letting me know! 😃 We’ve never used it before
So helpful! I could've really used this video when I first started optometry school. Glad you made it!
Aww thank you 😭❤️

Hello, this was very interesting! Out of curiosity, what does an optometrist use a stethoscope for?
Blood pressure!

I hope you do!!☺️
Do you go to UHCO? I start my first year there next fall (: love your channel!
I do!! Can’t wait to see you here! Welcome to the family ☺️✨
What would you use the stethoscope for?
Checking blood pressure! We do it for every new patient and it's more accurate than automatic ones!
Did you get grants and financial aid for optometry school and/or the supplies you needed ? It’s so much money 😅
I pulled out student loans/“financial aid”! Haha
Have you used everything in your 2 kits? Or have there been some things that you have never used?
Other than the ones I’ve mentioned in the video that I’ve never used, we use all of them for different clinics like peds/ODmed/FPS
Do you have to pay it all yourself or does financial aid help some
Student loans!
Nice video for a good knowledge
Thanks!🎉
the video is very helpful
Thank you!!☺️
