    So tempted to get laser eye surgery. Here in the UK IV been for a consultation and they said I'm suitable for it. Have you ever heard of LASIK iDesign? It's more expensive than standard LASIK.
    I also want to know why Doctors and opticians have not done laser surgery themselves? Is there a hidden negative behind it?

    • @DoctorEyeHealth
      @DoctorEyeHealth  5 лет назад

      I have not heard specifically about LASIK iDesign, It may just be custom lasik (corrected for aberrations). I know several doctors who have had LASIK and love it. I personally have not had it because I have dry eye symptoms already, I do great with contacts, and I have a family history of glaucoma. What else is holding you back?

    Sorry not entirely related here but I was put into progressive lenes and multifocal contacts. I could not get used to the whole multifocal contact thing so the doctor was forced to put me back in regular contacts. I only wear contacts like 3x a week at max. Question is are waring progressive glasses witch I dont have a problem with and occasionally non multifocal contacts once in a while gonna cause any issues? My doctor said no, but hes a little quirky so since I have been watching your channel I figured I would ask...also I did not see any videos on progressive lenses or multifocal contacts...unless I missed them? Can you do one on that subject? Thanks, I enjoy you channel, keep it up!

      Both are competent. Keep in mind there may some variability based on training/specialty. If unsure if a clinic manages glaucoma, you can always call and check ahead of time. Some clinics don't manage glaucoma.

    I am doing optomerist 2yrs diploma in india.... I got job Or not

    • @KiranSingh-es2ot
      @KiranSingh-es2ot 3 года назад

      The job description and licensing of an “Optometrist” in India and other parts of the world is extremely different. In UK, US, Australia etc you generally need a Doctor of Optometry or Masters of Optometry to practice. In these countries, Optometrists are eye doctors who can diagnose eye conditions and prescribe medications independently. A 2 year diploma is definitely not enough because to get a Doctor of optometry as well as further cert in therapeutic drug use, you need around 7+ years of education.
      The equivalent of an Optometry diploma in India is an Optical dispenser or optical technician. You’ll be able to work alongside optometrists but you won’t be able to work as an Optometrist yourself unless you complete the degree here.
