Welcome back to RBR! And this is the LCI of the new #BMW M4 is here, but #BMWM haven’t delayed in adding more M to it from the get go, with the new CS! It’s meant to be the Goldilocks version of the M4, sitting inbetween the CSL and the M4. But unlike the M4 CSL which is based on the RWD version of the M4 - our CS starts with the XDrive M4 Competition as its basis, and thus is all wheel driven.
We found previously that the M3 CS is 100% a level above the standard car, one that really follows on from the brilliance of the M5 CS. So high hopes for this mid level special edition!
We start with power, ripped straight from CSL. The engine gives 550HP thanks to more boost pressure at 2.1 to the turbos, allowing a bettered 0-60 of 3.4 seconds (much much faster than the 3.9 of the CSL!). The Engine has a dynamic mounting with increased spring rates which = a more responsive engine! That is paired to an updated ZF 8 speed with faster shifts.
Don’t be too worried about the XDrive: this one comes with an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch, keeping it rear biased and allowing for drift mode just like the M5! The rear diff also gets a new oil-cooling set-up for the multi-plate clutch pack, and revisions to the rear differential
The whole Adaptive M suspension has a unique set up for the CS too - with unique tuning for the shock absorbers, axle kinematics new wheel camber settings, new damper units, new auxiliary springs and anti-roll bars… and more!
Finally, a titanium rear silencer gives emotions and saves 4KG. Weight saving otherwise is limited, and nowhere near the 70kg of the CSL. Carbon used in some areas means only saving 20KG vs the normal Xdrive M4.
The interior for the LCI M4 sees updates with the epic New BMW M Steering wheel, this one finished in Alcantara and carbon, also flat bottomed. And it gets BMW OS 8.5 as the newest version - but unlike the CSL we maintain the rear seats!
Today I’ll also show you all the specs available for this car, including Frozen Isle of Man, Riviera Blue, Black Sapphire and Brooklyn Grey!
And we will talk about future cars like the M3 CS Touring and an M2 CS that is undoubtedly on the way! That’s all before driving this car for the first time, at a place where you will even get a glimpse of the New M5! ;)

Grown on everyone thats why the new g8x m3 and m4 are bmws best selling m3 and m4 generation ever. Selling triple the amount per year then their old f8x model. Pics don't do them justice at all.

@@v12-s65 according to bmw? Well yea, they are the company that is selling them. The new g8x models have brought the highest price tag ever for a m3 or m4 and they STILL have outsold all their previous generations per yearly. I think alot of it has to do with the boat loads of aftermarket parts companies have that transform the look and make it to where everyone's has their own little spin on their car. That's a very cool platform when ur able to do that and make ur car unique from the pact.

Yes! I don't know why they would remove something from design that is linked so tightly to brand identity.

@@midicine2114 They got rid of them because too many manufacturers were copying their designs. There are so many cars on the road that have similar headlights to newer bmw's so they switched them up a little bit to stand out more.

I don't. The new headlights look much better. And they have a nice animation start-up sequence as well.
I’ve had my LCI for a month now and I couldn’t imagine it being any more bonkers!! And I do enjoy having a centre console with covered storage especially since there’s no overhead glasses storage haha. Clocked a 2.86s sprint to 60 yesterday too 😊
Just collected my fully optioned low mileage 2019 premium plus facelift C43 coupe with amg perf seats finally after your review from years ago! Watched it so many times prior to buying!
Coming from a BMW guy, I also bought my 2019 C43 2y ago because of his review. And i have to congratulate you on making the right choice, its just 10% less agile than M440i but it compensates so much more in character and noise. Enjoy maybe the last pure V6 from AMG, mate! And thank you again Raz for doing the job for us 👊🏻

Insurance and road tax werent much more at all which is a bonus!

@@lucianvatafu2552 is a shame the 2019s have OPF filter in the exhaust as I imagine it would sound unreal without it, still sounds so good with the amg exhaust

@@360FAMOUZ360 I drove the C43 pre-facelift without the OPF and while it has more burbles i find my facelift sound more “deep”. And if you also have the perf exhaust, you don’t have to worry about the pops. Keep it in manual, you’ll find the sweetspot between 4-5k rpm and you’ll become an instant huligan haha
Prefer the last generation daylight running lights.
Everyone prefers the previous generatioj then u gonna say u prefer this one when the next one comes out.

I prefer the previous DRLs in isolation but the new ones compliment that ugly bucktooth beaver grille better. Even the lines coming up from the intake divider and lateral edges line up and flow better. But yeah, loses some distinction in the process of changing

the headlights are a bit of a downgrade, but it looks like it is possible to swap the old ones in

We probably will be able to switch out headlights for the pre facelift ones. My eyes are set on the m3cs touring and those headlights are defo coming out for the previous m3cs headlights

Hello - At the 6:40 mark, chassis stiffening or reinforcement was mentioned. Don’t all G8X M cars come with the same suite of chassis braces? The CS comes with chassis braces that other M’s don’t have, for example, the G82 M4 manual transmission car has less or different chassis braces mentioned at the 6:40 mark than other M’s? Please clarify this for me. Thanks! 🙏
Personally I prefer my F82 M4CS, runs 600bhp & 700 newton metres of torque….at the moment!!

I love the CSL coz of its ducktail boot lid but I don't like that it only came with 2 seats but thanks to BMW,the CS has the rear seats.,but then again it doesn't have the ducktail boot lid!. solution i'l buy a CS & then put on a ducktail boot lid then I'l be a happy dude.😁🤗

the cs bmw cars are like wen merc made c63 amg black series, one step ahead of the competition
For a Mercedes it's a very unique car compared to the C63. It's a direct derivative of the F1 safety car. They share the same engine, but that's pretty much it. It's like a 997 coupe compared to a GT3, built for the track in mind. The chassis is seem welded and triangulated, directer steering, oil coolers for engine, transmission, steering and differential, KW coilovers with heavy duty control arms and axels, 3" wider track compared to a regular CLK, strut braces front and rear, no sunroof, no rear seats, composite fender flares, 350 units made for the US and a total of 500 units world wide. It still has some luxury features like the Bose sound system, 6 disc CD changer and navigation. The only colors available were silver, black, white and red. No options available, all the cars had the same factory equipment. If you ever get a chance to drive one, you'll know the difference immediately. It's one of my favorite cars I've ever owned.

Nah coupes always look better when lowered and stanced out. They just look more aggresive and special. Now that the m4 has the lazer tail lights it's not even up for debate on which looks better imo.

M4CS has batter suspension and steering. Car feels more purposeful and dynamic that the M5CS. It is a lot more laggy and doesn’t pull as hard at the top.

Literally every single CS/CSL is pointless. They don’t offer anything that a guy with a regular completion and a laptop can’t mimic. You can even copy the CSL handling characteristics and load them onto the G87 M2. People have makeshift G81 M3 CS Tourings as well bc they can just mod it to be the same.
The F90 CS is even worse. I’m in the USA, The CS is about $140k over here. A used somewhat decent 2020 M5 Comp is as low as $55k. A 2021 LCI is in the 60s. What can the F90 CS do that a used M5 C for $70k plus $10k in mods not do?? Besides the seats.

@@diegocontreras9592 im a “make it make sense” kind of guy. I like to help people get great cars for money that makes sense. I believe a car is relatively too large a purchase to just leave up to a salesperson that just wants you to spend all your money and make a sale.
With how easy it is to copy a CS/CSL car in looks and performance, what exactly are you paying for?? G8X cars are in the 60s and 70s right now. Low priced F9X cars are in the 50s to 70s. So why spend the 140k ya know??
