What’s the reward in driving like this, and is it worth the risk ? The reward is very low, and all it takes is for a bad driver in a sea of bad drivers, to lane change into you without looking. Just to end up losing your car, injuring yourself, and injuring others. You’re a good driver, but remember not everyone around you is.
The reward is this: I'm very active, 31 y.o., i do many sports, in many of those i put my life at risk (literally had to call alpine rescuers to get me out 3 weeks ago, without them I wouldn't had survived the night - I was getting hypothermic).Travelled non stop per the whole month of august in Switzerland, Italy, France. @@PierSilversure! But risking the life of others for your entertainment is just not cool. Your attitude when driving and driving style are exactly like mine in my m340i man. Live in GA as well lol. I drive "fast" but slow and smooth throttle and steering inputs, not cutting up aggressively. I admit I was also guilty of NPC driving as well until I deployed to Germany for a few months where I learned how to properly drive and not be afraid of speed. Coming back to the states I realized how idiotic all these left lane hogs (Linksschleichers) are and are almost certainly the reason why I-75 is a perpetual traffic jam despite having so many lanes. It's frustrating knowing that we really could have an autobahn here but unfortunately our driver education is simply not up to par. It's refreshing to hear someone else that realizes this as well, all my friends and family think I'm a maniac for just going over 84 mph haha. In addition to Waze, I'd also recommend a radar detector if you don't already have one. I have an R8 mounted and powered to my mirror and it really gives you an awesome sense of freedom when driving. Prevented thousands of dollars in speeding tickets and license suspensions for sure. Besides all that I loved the rest of the video too man. Great advice that I found really resonated with me. Really loving the car! Still I´m asking myself one big question: Where I´m from (Germany) there is a thing called "Rechtsfahrgebot" so you are supposed to drive as much on the right lane as you can and only go on the left when overtaking someone. Is there a similar rule in the US? Cause nobody seems to do that and it kind of drives me crazy to see that on german roads but having to change 3-5 lanes to get through traffic on american roads seems even more stressful
Yes in America the left lane is for passing only. However, this law is not enforced which causes a lot of bad driving behavior and lots of cars just stay cruising in the left lane!
This is directly from BMW M: For the first 1,000 km (620 miles) of your car’s life, BMW recommends driving with alternating engine and vehicle speeds, while making sure not to exceed 5,000 rpm or 170 km/h (105 mph). It’s also best to avoid any situations that would place the engine under high load, even if it’s within the aforementioned speed and RPM limits. This includes things such as harsh downshifts and launch control. From that first 1,000 km to 2,000 km (620 to 1,240 miles), it’s still recommended to drive with alternating engine and vehicle speeds, but the suggested limits are a bit more lenient at 6,000 rpm and 210 km/h (130 mph). BMW also encourages you to avoid full load on the engine in first, second, and third gear. Once the car reaches 2,000 km (1,240 miles), it’s time to bring it in for its first service, after which it should be ready to be driven to its full potential.

Thank you! I use a GoPro Hero 11 black with 4k 60fps and hyper view turned on. I use a head mount strap to capture the footage!!
Nice beemer man. That C7 ZR1 is sick you don't see too many of those
Thank you fam and yes that ZR1 is an unreal car. The owner also has a 991.2 GT3RS so he is a man of taste!
What’s the break in speed limit if it’s already doing 100.
This is directly from BMW M:
For the first 1,000 km (620 miles) of your car’s life, BMW recommends driving with alternating engine and vehicle speeds, while making sure not to exceed 5,000 rpm or 170 km/h (105 mph).
