So many people complaining in the comments... “They sound too much like Zeppelin”, “singers gonna blow his voice”, “they’re a rip off”, etc... Rather than complaining, you should be happy that they’re actually trying to keep Rock & Roll alive. You know the genre you seem to be self proclaimed experts about.
No you idiot ! They ripped off ZEPPELIN and the singer sounds like a screaming chicken. Pathetic mellienals fucking up everything they touch...children
So e c in lower case like your brain and led in cort now over copyrights to stairway no ones perfect so where is your music drop kick give your self a uppercut
definitely louder than usual.. you can see at the beginning of the video, sammy is trying to tell the EQ guy to turn down the bass.. but they started and he like meh fuck it lolll
They must be getting the audio straight from the board. If they're outside they really gotta crank the bass up. I'm sure it sounded allot better in the crowd. Outdoor space is tuff to fill.
Allowed to play one more song; played a ten minute song.😂🎸🎼👏 Greta Van Fleet is a freakin inspiration to young rock and roll bands and a light of hope for rock and roll fans around the world.
Awesome band, all equally great in their own right without a doubt! What's absolutely amazing... Is at the end of their set, when she says there are no computers on this stage & no backing tracks, nothing but instruments! Now that's "REAL" Rock and Roll in its purest form live! Way to go Sam! Loving that bass volume big time! #TRUTH
Take a minute and listen to some of the bands that played live in the 60s or 70s . Most of your people are looking for studio perfection live music. Its not going to happen, led Zeppelin them selves played songs different every single time. So ask yourself do you have perfect energy every day. Does your hair look perfect every single day. This band is amazing, but don't forget that they are human, Every instrument will be played different at times and usually the voice is the first thing people notice. I love the pure sound of Greta van fleet, if your looking for voice correction go watch a Justin Bieber video..
Yes. One of the best things about these guys is the raw realness of the performance. It's in the moment and organic and unlike many live shows today, involves human beings making music without the help of computers and correction technology. Their energy and emotion is right out there on the front lines. I'll take that any day of the week over the alternative options.
Rockstar Punk, you make some excellent points. They sound a great deal tighter than many of the bands from the 60's and 70's live. I am concerned about Josh's vocals over the long run and I do believe their sound man or woman could help him out with a bit more sustain at the end of some of his vocal runs. Circa. Led Zeppelin, "The Song Remains the Same." Albeit, this was just a small show displaying their talents.
The last song was just PERFECT.❤️ Actually all the songs were performed really well👌 Been following them for quite some time. The future seems bright for rock and roll
Right?!? But as soon as he said what song they were playing, I immediately knew why this video was so long, I don’t think they’ve ever played that song in less than 10 minutes.
I don't care if they sound like led zeppelin. I love zepp and this is the closest thing we have to getting new music from them. Plus robert plant already said he loves the band.
“Can you do it?” Yeah. Okay. At least that encore kicked ass. I’m not on board with the “new Zeppelin” thing but, these guys are looking like they’ll outgrow it. They’re already much better musicians than anyone in a long time. That guitar sound mixed with the vocal is extremely tough to find.
To reassure everyone who is concerned for Josh's voice, he is doing everything possible to preserve it and take care of it. If he seems like he's forcing it do remember this was right before he got sick. Plus he had just come from Europe a few days prior to this, which is still a bit chilly this time of year. The sudden weather change probably roughed him up a bit. But never the less, Josh's voice will be good for years to come.
For everyone hating on the sound in this video....they are in an outdoor venue and there are no walls for the acoustics to bounce off of which makes a big sound difference with electric instruments. This is just an assumption but I also think whoever was mixing this was doing a very horrible job at leveling the instruments. Random sound all over the place.
The sound guy should at least have added some reverb. Its so dry, its painful to listen to. Every mistake is heard clear as day =p And a proper rock band makes a lot of mistakes, as they should!
V. Paul Janbazian the feed straight off the board will always make the bass sound to loud. It’s not the case live though. Bass is Omni-directional so it has to be pushed a lot harder to compensate. That’s the reason it sounds to loud in the dry board mix. It most likely sounded fine in person.
this will be great footage for years to come. Here we have a group of young men given a chance to show their shit and they did a great job. Sammy on the bass sending it on home. Love these guys!
hey man, no one is that original. everyone has their influences. You'll see, in years to come their sound will change many times over, I'm sure of that.
ripped off LZ?? are you just fucking ignorant or stupid. All there songs kick ass and can they help it if his voice sounds like Plants? lol I mean c'mon they sound amazing.
I believe if he truly was trying to copy RP he would let his hair grow like his brothers instead of having a fro. I'm a huge LZ fan wish I could have seen them in concert but watched a lot of there videos. I think styles can be mimicked but it all comes down to personality. Time will tell I think they will be huge. I'm gonna go see them in Boston this summer. House of Blues. (Sorry for being a dick last message, was a crazy Monday)
I did say as they can only get better, but I haven't seen any thing better than that last tune live in my lifetime. They are already great for their ages there mentally mature😎😎😎😚🎑🌴
The key ingredient in rock and roll. Drums, Guitar, and a vocalist. But not to only have this in your possession to actually know how to use these tools and make that sweat sound. New favorite band right here! Great sounds!!!
Setlist: 1:53 - 5:08 Highway Tune 6:18 - 11:57 Black Smoke Rising 12:26 - 17:31 Safari Song ( Danny's Drum Solo Towards The End ) ENCORE 19:09 - 31:44 Lover Leaver Taker Believer
I can't get over these guys. Nor do I want to. I'm pushing 50 years old, but damn if I'm not feeling that eight-grade crush sorta love. THESE DUDES ARE AMAZING>>>>>>>>>>>
Worth checking out. Obvious Zep wanna bees. But there's elements of Zeppelin, Rush, and The Who, . So who could hate that? In a sea of CRap, EDM and country shit, I can think of NO reason to hate on a band who start with musicianship and classic rock sensibilities and goes from there.
Us old dudes also have to realize most of these new listeners never even heard of Led Zepp. so this is new to them. Thats cool I guess. To me its just too much like Zepp and nothing original. I hope they change it up for the next record.
oh wow we get to hear that bass!!!!!!!!young energy turned up to the MAX according to chromecast!Jake's doin' the best!!!of his own completeness!love this soooo much!wish i could go to a houseparty with them!
Last song sounded more authentic. Easy to criticise this band for being derivative but I have to say I enjoyed this. They obviously done their homework and have great influences but they just need to be themselves more, or find themselves. Just slightly too forced at the moment but I think they’ll get there.
These earbuds I got must be magical because I can finally hear the bass! I’ve always had trouble hearing the Bass in songs. Now it’s almost more clear than the guitar.
If someone already posted a setlist, let me know. Same if I got any of the times wrong. Thanks! 00:00 - 01:51 intro, getting set up 01:52 Highway Tune 06:19 Black Smoke Rising 12:26 Safari 19:06 Lover, Leaver, Taker, Believer (extended - ends at 31:47)

Just proving my point further lol
So e c in lower case like your brain and led in cort now over copyrights to stairway no ones perfect so where is your music drop kick give your self a uppercut
There are ways of keeping Rock & Roll alive without ripping off every single aspect of a band
No one else like this it's on 69 likes
wish I could hit the thumbs up button a million times!!! Oh my!! What a KILLER band!!
Whoever went to that concert is lucky, Man I love this band! Rock is not dead, its still alive
"One more song!" and fucking insane 12-min Lover Leaver jam! Thank you for sharing!
Soundman likes him some bass.
Pete Davis right atleast turn the lead up a lil and balance it out, they sound good though.
definitely louder than usual.. you can see at the beginning of the video, sammy is trying to tell the EQ guy to turn down the bass.. but they started and he like meh fuck it lolll
Probably a bass player lol. Also that ampeg cab probably didn't even need to be mic'd
Holy shit, yes he does. He's a bit out of tune too and he knows it.
Dylan Pereira same bahaha
This is what happens when you hire a bass player to run sound.
I love it! LoL
Freeyourmind ha ha I love it!!
Which is fine with me lol
Freeyourmind yea it doesn't sound good
1:54 - Highway Tune
6:18 - Black Smoke Rising
12:24 - Safari Song
19:08 - Lover Leaver Taker Believer
Kenneth Portillo and what is the last song?
@@maryjane5150 it’s just an extended version of lover leaver

what a bass line
Sound really good
I'm a a total fan. about time a band put their brains together for real hard rock "n" roll. band!!!
coolest thing that has showed up in rocknroll in like 15 years at least.
Aline de Medeiros Silva Its great stuff!
Arq. Aline Medeiros since guns
That improv section at the end was awesome, We need more bands who do improvs

Rockstar Punk es r o s,

Set's over, time for interview. Crowd requests one more song, proceeds to play 12 minute song LOL XD
Right?!? But as soon as he said what song they were playing, I immediately knew why this video was so long, I don’t think they’ve ever played that song in less than 10 minutes.

Espetacular

I haven't been able to say this about any bands for too many years: Rock n' Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!
That bass 😂😂
"Gonna have an interview in about a minute" 10 minutes later they are still playing. 🤣
Blake Estell the biggest issue is that it’s a straight feed off the board. The ambient sound isn’t captured.
The sound guy should at least have added some reverb. Its so dry, its painful to listen to. Every mistake is heard clear as day =p And a proper rock band makes a lot of mistakes, as they should!
Also the bass is way too loud in the mix. Not to mention he's out of tune.

For sure. The live mix I'm sure was more balanced compared to the feed. But this is louder than most I've heard.
my favorite video from the short past. who knew what was coming 3 years ago. now its 2021
Greta sound good live. I enjoyed this live show. Keep it up guys. It may seem normal to them but to us fans we enjoy each note.
Jake can seriously shred, I love watching him play. Can't wait to see them grow and be even better!
14:55 Guy pours drink on himself while taking a picture, classic! 👍
jbeebs1 HAHAHSHSHSHAHAH
Rock and Roll lives in their hearts and this morning my whole house can feel it... Bravo
Lover Leaver Taker Believer is my favourite. Its the song where you really get to see how good these guys are as a band and the chemistry they have!
Derek Lepiesza 100% agree
this will be great footage for years to come. Here we have a group of young men given a chance to show their shit and they did a great job. Sammy on the bass sending it on home. Love these guys!
CoolBuzzTastyWaves I doubt people will care about “that one band that ripped Zeppelin off” in years to come.
hey man, no one is that original. everyone has their influences. You'll see, in years to come their sound will change many times over, I'm sure of that.
ripped off LZ?? are you just fucking ignorant or stupid. All there songs kick ass and can they help it if his voice sounds like Plants? lol I mean c'mon they sound amazing.

Thanks for this video ! This is one i come back and watch from time to time. My God, these boys are a talent !
I did say as they can only get better, but I haven't seen any thing better than that last tune live in my lifetime. They are already great for their ages there mentally mature😎😎😎😚🎑🌴
Their getting more comfortable on stage , improvising more . The guitar player has really improved
I am loving loving what I'm hearing. They will evolve...Believe it.
That encore. Holy hell I didnt realize they had that sort of vibe in them live! Loving it!
Unbelievable! Thank you for posting; would like to see the interview too!!
The key ingredient in rock and roll. Drums, Guitar, and a vocalist. But not to only have this in your possession to actually know how to use these tools and make that sweat sound. New favorite band right here! Great sounds!!!
"can you do one more song?" hahahahaha yeah they own this whole shit they can actually do whatever they want. These guys have balls! Love it
CoolBuzzTastyWaves saw the in Rochester last year, stage manager told them time was up. Jake went right into Safari!
Good fucking answer. Delete all other comments
I love this one because I think I can see the awe starting to appear on grown mens faces for the first time for Jakes amazing skills.
The sound guy is definitely getting fired after their Coachella sets.
Why’d that
the guitar player sheds so hard

Fantastic! Great video!
The guitar player goes so hard here holy shit
Love it..Close-up of band is a plus...Fun outdoor party.
Sounds like we got direct audio from the board. Pretty cool.
Fretboard Fatfingers EXACTLY! Someone left a torch and these bastards had the balls.to.pick.it up and run!. Even robert plant digs them
Agreed. I remember people saying the same thing about Silverchair and calling them PJ and Nirvana wannabes but they turned out just fine
Dont forget Bon Scott.
Who cares if they wanna be Zep, I wouldn’t mind having a Led Zeppelin 2.0 constantly putting out bangers like these guys!
Us old dudes also have to realize most of these new listeners never even heard of Led Zepp. so this is new to them. Thats cool I guess. To me its just too much like Zepp and nothing original. I hope they change it up for the next record.
To be Original is not neserary to be new or diferent, but to be faithfull to the "origin" Good Job Guys.

Last song sounded more authentic. Easy to criticise this band for being derivative but I have to say I enjoyed this. They obviously done their homework and have great influences but they just need to be themselves more, or find themselves. Just slightly too forced at the moment but I think they’ll get there.
I LOVE THESE GUYS!
Babygirl came in like a wrecking ball at 0:02
They're so good it makes me chuckle. Joy. Rock Music is born again.
These earbuds I got must be magical because I can finally hear the bass! I’ve always had trouble hearing the Bass in songs. Now it’s almost more clear than the guitar.
