- In late April & early May 2017 I spent time with the up & coming rock band Greta Van Fleet, meeting with the guys in their hometown garage in mid-Michigan & at their recording studio in metro Detroit. I also tracked down the woman who the band is named after. The sky is the limit for this talented group of musicians & their amazing sound.

I get chills listening to their music. It is like bringing the great bands of the '70s back to life but with a modern twist.

GVF......they are talented, they all have charisma, they have a throwback sound. Nothing short of amazing. I've seen them live...it was a major experience that I will never forget. Put them all together, and they have the insight, talent, and everything else that makes a legendary band. I just hope I can see them again. Never thought I would live to see the day that rock, blues, jazz, and Motown became born again. God bless these guys....they will be huge, if they aren't already! The 70's are here again....with their music and vibe. Feel like I'm back in time with a twist!
Patty....go see a Rival Sons concert..... I dunno, its a solid rocker of an album, but wayyyy too derivative. It'll be their sophomore effort that shows whether or not they are going to be huge, I think. Based on what I've seen online, the singer appears has zero stage presence, is that the case?

I am in my car listening to the radio. I hear this awesome song and think, "this must be some unreleased Led Zeppelin!" I hit Shazam on my phone and it says "Safari Song by Greta Van Fleet"! Now, I had heard of Greta Van Fleet and thought it was just a Led Zepp tribute band. Now that I've listened to every song of theirs I can find, I realize these are some very talented guys playing some great songs. Sure, there is definitely some Led Zepp influence and I even hear some Geddy Lee at times, but that is not a criticism. It is high praise. I am glad that I found some music produced in this century that I actually like! Rock on GVF!

And rolling to January, 2019 they were just touring Japan, so I'd most definitely say they're enjoying the success of constantly promoting and playing to a receptive and growing fanbase. Great Job, Youngbloods, you're so deserving.
These young guys are really talented, Bringing back a sound that has almost disappeared. It is refreshing during a time of Pop Culture domination of rap and hip hop. This group is at the forefront of bringing back a renewed interest and excitement in Rock. They will also be great for lack of and declining instrument sales in a time of music becoming so electronic. Especially renewed guitar interest in young people. I'm a guitar player from the 70's rock era and all I could say is....it's about time, well done Greta Van Fleet!
I hope GvF goes a very long way; they absolutely deserve it. Boys, try to avoid the pitfalls & traps of fame and focus your energy on your music - you are on track to SOMETHING GREAT! I am 57 now and hope to see you soar worldwide, as you deserve. Fantastic music, thank you !

I hear this band all the time on WRKZ 99.7 The Blitz Columbus, Ohio! My first taste of there music was My Way Soon and it became my first and favorite song from them! Keep up the good work GVF!

Man GVF I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, I really reallyike your sound and so does everyone else I have turned on to ur music.. Just don't sell out keep on keeping on making ur own music... Way to go guys

I love these guys! I got to see them at AfterShock 2017, and it was sad that most of the people listening had no clue what they were witnessing! I hope these guys can create a spark and lead the revival in some real rock n roll music!

These are ORIGINAL SONGS. Led Zeppelin is no longer a band. Let's embrace some young long haired steady rocked up kids going "GREW UP LISTENING TO ZEP AND ALL THE ROCK THAT CAUGHT MY SOUL, THATS WHAT I"M GOING TO WRITE AND HOPE PEOPLE GET IT." Yeah We got it. Listen to your Led, cuz we all do, and we love it when inspiration hits the youth who actually KNOW who Led Zep is.
