Great job on the restoration i have a 10,000 plus bought it used in 2016 with only 308hrs on it now it's close to 1000 hrs great machine my next machine might be either a 250gxt or a 305 D

Awesome sauce!! I had no clue a few years ago when I bought my Miller 225 Gplus. I had no clue about the availability of parts for those Onan engines. I bought a low hours one owner unit and so far .... but I wonder occasionally what I will do if it shits the bed. This welder gonna make someone's day!!!
I have a Lincoln weldanpower 225, single owner, well kept (ironworker). I love it, but it's just very loud lol. I'm using a big blue 400, and even that is so much quieter.

I had one with the onan in it... helped me get my side work going a few years back... they are awesome machines
I have an old Miller Bobcat with an Onan in it and I have never had problems obtaining parts. I also make some if I can't find them but that is not the point..My machine has 5407 hours on it and it still runs kinda..just takes some loving care to get her to do what she does.....
@@johnkoury1116 you can also get parts from Deere on some pieces since they used Onan engines in their lawn/ garden tractors. They just have different part numbers if I remember correctly, John Deere part number for a Onans start with HE. So, if you ever need parts that are no longer available, you can see if you can get a used part off of a John Deere tractor. That’s how I was able to find an air box assembly for my machine.

Have a Lincoln Ranger 9.. older but works good! Love to win the new one!
I’ve got a Onan powered Lincoln ranger 8 I just fixed up. You can get most parts for them. The trick is to know what other products used those engines like John Deere did in their lawn tractors. That’s how I was able to get an air box assembly for it. I voted the engine 20 thou over and put new piston, rings, and intake valves, plus gaskets.
They are discontinuing parts so your better off getting a kohler or Honda powered one even though there mostly Onan.

I'm about ready to retire, but I have been wanting to do mobile welding work to keep me busy. I love welding! And I have bought a shirt and I welded 20% better with it. So I bought a hat, and that added another 20% better welder! I'm practically as good a welder as you now! Thank you sir!

I figured out how to weld on a ranger 9 kept it on my truck in early 2000s fixing excavator buckets out in the field always wish I'd stumbled across another gonna have to give this a wirl...

@@MeltinMetalAnthony I will post a walk around after I get the truck finished. I think I told you. I rolled it into a ditch a month or so ago hydrolocked the ole 12 valve. Anyway almost got it back together. Been working out of my chevy k1500 for the last month. Ready for my big truck back on the road

thats an lpg machine? i really thought it was a gasser but the faceplate says lp? its still an amazing looking machine with the red and making myself think mine needs a metallic red paint job!
