      @@brew8533 It depends on your voice and personal taste. Blue Snowball has more lows and less highs, but it could sound a bit muddy. I personally liked FiFine K670 better, but with a windshield it might sound better with less harsh "s"es.

    $30 a few times per year in Amazon. If you add a windscreen, it helps allot with boosting lows by eating the mic. I have it at 80% on my machine and about 11oclock on the gain. I feel if you're on a tight budget (like I was), this is one of the better options for the price. Its limited on capabilities, but for what its capable of, the quality is certainly great, especially for being a USB microphone. I prefer it over my old Yeti, which I found to be too large and bulky for my liking.
    Ofcourse, there are better options out there once you start bringing your budget up, but this is definitely a great starting point for only $50.
    Also if I can ask, what's the mic arm that you use? Looking to get me an arm at somepoint and I want to make sure it'll work with this microphone properly.

      Hi there. The K670 is a USB microphone, which has its own ADC. So it doesn't makes sense to bypass the ADC of the microphone and use the one of the sound card. Besides, it just doesn't work, because a USB mic needs 5V power supply while the external sound card provide either no-power or 48V phantom power.

      Apart from the features of stand and live monitoring jack (though noisy we would admit because it's not processed by built-in sound card, that also why you can get the unnoticeable delay for monitoring). When the comparison is draw between K669 and K670, the latter does slightly better job in lows and gives much more clarity in highs. Sort of all-round improvement from K669. But we're the seller, what we said about our own product is basically meaningless. If you're planning to choose one between, you can try checking out more videos before the decision.

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE 3 года назад

      First off, set the dial below 50% if you're in a noisy room. Next, set computer input at around 80%. At last, the speaking range is another aspect that makes the great difference. Keep the mic 3-5 inches away from mouth, the closer the better. If you have any software with the level meter, it's recommend to adjust the volume setting and make the meter bounces from -12db to -16db, then the sound will be pretty decent.

    Hello! Thanks for this review. Question: My bandmate and I are using FaceTime and/or Skype or Zoom to rehearse. We're both playing acoustic guitar and singing. We're using ethernet cables (vs. WiFi) and it's OK, and we are using K669 mics and headphones, so we each hear the other person in the headphones. It would be much better if we could also monitor our own sound in the headphones, but the K669 doesn't have a headphone jack. This K670 does, but - if we plug our headphones into the mic will we then not be able to hear the other person b/c the headphones would now be plugged into the mic instead of the computer? Or, is the mic both an input and output device? Maybe that's what you meant when you said that the phone jack doesn't have a separate volume knob....? I truly appreciate any consideration and advice....:-)

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE 4 года назад

      Hi there. No worry. When you plug the headphone into the K670, you could still hear the other person in the headphones, that means the K670 is both an input and output device.
      As for volume knob, it only control the microphone input sound, and the sound you hear from the headphone jack is something to do with the computer sound. So you need to adjust on the speaker icon at the right corner below.

    I was wondering can you plug the USB cable to a cannon EOS M50 camera?

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE 4 года назад

      Sorry no, even with a proper size adapter. The USB on camera reads or transmits data only. If you do want to use this K670 with camera. It's still possbile because of the headphone jack that K670 provides. You can find a power bank to connect the USB end and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable to connect the K670 headphone jack to camera mic input. The setup sounds quite tricky already, and the result wouldn't turn out good. Because with the limitation of the 3.5mm length and consideration to the camera focus, you cant place the mic pretty close to your mouth. While desktop mic is designed to be used in a short speaking distance. If the main use is for camera, you can take a look the wireless microphone K037B: bit.ly/fifinemicrophone-k037b

    I have a problem with this mic where if I bring my phone close to it a static noise will be produced in my headphones. Does this happen to you too?

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE 3 года назад

      Yes. Generally speaking, cell phones and other wireless devices radiate powerful electromagnetic fields that can cause interference and noise in microphone signals. The best way to round the problem is keeping the devices at least arm’s length away from the microphones.

      If budget allows, we think the best solution for the moment is ordering both of them to judge by yourself and return one of them. If that's no possible, you could check out some more videos about the pros and cons of those two mics to see which suit you more.

    What's the name of the software used in this video? Doubt anyone will answer being such an old video, but I just bought the mic. :3

      Not sure what the software you are talking about is. Could you please let us know the time when the software show up?
      If you want the recording software, you could just use the recording software that comes with computer, like the soundrecorder on Windows and QuickTime Player on Mac. Also you could download a more powerful recording software, like Audacity, which is free online and it can modify and edit recording sounds.

    Would you recommend this for discord calls on computer or streaming off the PS4 itself? I’m looking for a usb mic that will sound good for both, I tried using my blue snowball ice streaming PS4 and it sounded not so good, I have soundproof and a filter on the microphone

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE 4 года назад

      If you plan to use K670 for discord calls or streaming, the K670 still do the job. But if budget allows, the K678 is recommended. Apart from the feature things, such as mute button, headphone volume control and different shape that K670 doesn't have, the main different is about the noise floor and the tone. Though if your room is not pretty quiet, and there's no plan for an arm stand, then the difference of noise floor is not quite noticeable. With K678, there will more bass presenting in your recording while still maintain the same sort of clarity. The reproduced sound will be more balanced and natural than the K670's.

    Which is best for voiceover Samson q2u or fifine k670
    Or is there another good for them in the price range?

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE 4 года назад +1

      Samson Q2U is recommended by quite a few top-notch RUclipsrs, we cant deny that it would be a good choice if you're going to use a mic in a pretty noisy environment, it will aslo give you pretty good podcast sound as well. But in order to get the best out of it, you may still an USB interface. While your room is quite and you favor the highs over the bass, then you could consider the K670.
