Saw BC live in around 89. Live at Redcar. Really small venue. More like a pub gig. Someone spat at Stuart. He jumped off stage mid song, grabbed the spitter, dragged him ouside, ran back in, jumped back on stage and continued the song. Absolute legend.
saw them at Redcar Coatham Bowl in '98. Still have the ticket stub and a plectrum Stuart gave me, in a picture frame. was part of the "restless Natives" tour. Still have the "obligatory" tour T-shirt even though Redcar is not listed on the back as a venue of the tour.
Such a smart smart musician such a young waste of life and talent. If only people of his calibre were still about today how different music would sound
Stuart was a genius. Saw them on the Steeltown tour when I was young! The Crossing is an all time favourite & sounds more special when driving round the Scottish Highlands. Great band
Mark Brzezicki is one of rocks best drummers in my opinion. Amazing technical ability, never misses a beat & like Bonham has a thundering right foot. Saw BC live many times between 85 - 2000. The best live band in the world for my money. Very happy memories.
I have adored this band from the day I heard Harvest Home then was elated to see them capture the world with In A Big Country. In school many sort of filed them away as a "dude band" and even though people knew the song, I wasn't running into many fans, just myself and another guy who happened to have the same concert shirt in 84. I kept telling anyone I could about how gifted they were and they needed to check them out with little success. Well, while stationed in Germany I happened to catch them open for the Rolling Stones and was telling everyone they were in for something special and the guys did not disappoint. They left many speechless then were asking me about what albums to get. You just had to have been there and I'm so lucky I was the few times I was able to. You rarely have bands where all 4 are at the top of their game like this.
I fall in love with BC more and more with every video, performance, and song I come across...phenomenal. I adamantly oppose the "one-hit wonder" label that has been imposed on them here in the states....what an iniquity.
First heard BC because of my big bro and the Album - The Crossing.. Their music still resonates till this day decades after.. Stuart music lost a genius too soon.. Your music lives on RIP x
Mystic yearnings are better understood when paired with musical supremacy like Stuart's song here . . . . .The Seer is unique and untouchable . . . . awsome Stu .
First became aware of BC when I watched the film 'Restless Natives' (still one of my favourite films of all time). When I started hearing more of their wonderful songs, and discovered Kate Bush (my favourite musician) was singing with Stuart on 'The Seer' my joy was complete. Fantastic band, such talent. x
Great musicians and to this day (25 years and quite a few gigs later. Big Country are still the best band i have seen live. NO the original BC were the best band
Jesus there’s so much that’s right with this song live, check Tony’s cracking bass work, Bruce’s edgy mandolin and matching hair, Sparkie’s incessant and relentless drumming and I can’t really add anything that hasn’t been said about Stuart live. Proper band, this shit hardly exists anymore.
This is a great album. Record company wranglings over the mixing of the album. As usual. Who knows. It was very dense. I liked it though. Stuart Adamson: Singer, songwriter, guitar player. Legend.
I can see the Seer sometimes in the sky predicting a change. A change to more humanity and respect for the environment. Shame people are people and some of them should be punished for destroying this planet. It is time for Greenpeace to tell them they should stop. Aah well, let the music speak!
hat jemand Aufnahmen vom Gig des Out in the Green Festivals in Dinkelsbühl?? Als Big Country Fan und Einwohner von Dinkelsbühl wäre ich sehr dankbar!!!

Pure class. What a band, and what a one-off genius Stuart Adamson was.
Great musicians and to this day (25 years and quite a few gigs later. Big Country are still the best band i have seen live
How did I miss the brilliance of this band until recent years? Easily my favourite band of all time.
This was my song at 10 years old. 30 years later, still chills. And this led me to listening to Kate Bush too. What a band.
Headphones on turn it up full :) Class.

wished Kate Bush got on stage and sang this with Stu on the tours it was on the setlist

Still the only truly original band in 30years

Just magical makes the hair stand up on my neck
These songs still sound great after all these years!

Beautiful voice is Stuart. Beautiful band Still listening in 2022
What is there to say when the music says it all in a way no one can articulate. The magic of music, which reaches people in a way mere words cannot.
Stuart Adamson! Thank you for the amazing songs sir
LOL....the hair on Bruce. He looks like a Wizard. Great song.

a lot of act live are less than adequate,,,, but this band are/were incredible, sound better live than the studio version,
RIP Stuart.
BC rules!🤗Loved Kate Bush in the album version.👍
@pjones9999 - Well the keyboard only 'sings' Kate Bush's vocal line . . . dont mind it actually :)
What a great mix. Thank you!!!
Simon Drax jh
One of the great regrets of my life is that I never got a chance to see this band live.
