I actually killed the Blazing bull with deflecting+fire crackers my first time facing him just because I wanted to see if I could RP a matador and then later learned that was pretty much what Fromsoft was going for lol.
You're a madman. Props for choosing a challenge that no one else is really doing. Also, "he has to wipe his ass afterwards, so that leaves him open to some attacks" is probably the best thing you've ever said.
I've only just finished the game, so I missed your blind playthrough. Glad to see you do this, but damn… the dodge sucks in this game. I'm impressed. Didn't think it could be done.
I mean this is basically just how I played through this game. I forgot about the deflection mechanic for huge swathes if the game. Played through once when the game out and haven't touched it since
Okay, the Gyoubu fight would be easier if you don't lock and stay to his left. He is right-handed so he tends to strafe around you and attack in a certain way, but dodging to his left makes half his attacks automatically miss.
I may be late but this is how I fought woth gyobu or "my name". I havent tough about deflecting him since it looked like he is too big ... Well this alongside demon of hatred was the most bs I had in this game
I didn't expect that you could parry the demon of hatred to begin with, nor the first phase guardian ape. But you parry almost anything in this game it seems
Lighting proof eals would work, if you are going for no damage rather than no hit, also you can shuriken geni out of the 3 arrow attack if you use it as he jumps, though the timing is a bit strict.
@@lorcan2530 I keep forgetting that item exists in the game :P Can you throw the Shuriken fast enough to stop his first arrow, though? Have you tested that?
Well the idea for this challenge run actually stems from me focussing so little on deflecting during my blind playthrough and despite that, things went rather well, so I thought let's see if I can do it without deflecting at all.
Precisely, that's exactly the comparison to make. A no deflect run is essentially Sekiro's version of what in DS would be a no roll, no block run I don't remember, but don't I even mention that somewhere in the video? It's been 3 years, but I think I might have said that somewhere
Nooooo freaking way. Each boss seperately was already insanely hard. Doing it all in one perfect go, where the slightest mistake sets you back to the start. No, that is way beyond my limits.
Well, you already know this, but just for anyone seeing this comment at some point and being confused. Squilla did "merely" no blocking. So only deflecting, but without blocking. Still extremely impressive obviously.
@@PressContinue if it was anyone but squilla I would be shocked.. He's held to the highest possible standard one can imagine in these games :D Edit. And a few others like faraaz and hob. Gotta give them credit too
@@csquared4538 I'm confused, his video showcasing his WR no hit no blocking run was uploaded a month after Press' video. So unless he did it on stream before Press posted his, and the VoD of the stream was uploaded a month later I think Press actually has the record. Also a side note, Press did it in Ng+3, Squilla's video doesn't mention NG+ at all, so even if it was the first, I think Press did a more impressive run.
YOU NEED MORE ATTENTION, THIS IS AWESOME
Thank you so much :)
... and he eventually did
I didn't think you'd be able to do it. Attacks just have too much tracking to actually step dodge everything. Congrats man
To paraphrase the intro: "no block/deflect by itself was too easy so let's just do it without taking damage as well"
O_o excuse me?
I actually killed the Blazing bull with deflecting+fire crackers my first time facing him just because I wanted to see if I could RP a matador and then later learned that was pretty much what Fromsoft was going for lol.
LOL yeah I guess. I honestly didnt even expect you could deflect him but in this game almost anything can be parried
You're a madman. Props for choosing a challenge that no one else is really doing. Also, "he has to wipe his ass afterwards, so that leaves him open to some attacks" is probably the best thing you've ever said.
He totally does! You can see him rubbing his ass after throwing his shit. A true Shinobi can't ignore something like that.
He's hygienic, you have to respect it. I doubt Demon of Hatred wipes his ass.
As long as he trims his hairy scrotum, I can accept that.
21:28 By the way, you can use the Sakura Dance combat art to redirect the lightning without taking damage, also, using a mist raven seems to work.

Well... you should watch me play Rocket League and your opinion would change XD
This is nice pupa
'incredible run. S-Tier

Fun fact: you can use the mist raven prosthetic to reverse Geni's lightning without taking damage!
Wouldn't that count as deflecting though?
@@PressContinue It depends. Do your rules allow for the use of mist raven to dodge normal attacks, or is it considered a form of deflection?

Liked!
This is the hardest from software game.
No, but under these circumstances it was definitely a massive challenge
And I still haven't been able to beat the game once 💀
*clap clap clap clap*
why you hate yourself? well done
Maybe it's time for a no death no buddha run?!🙄
its funny, this is pretty much how I played the game as im not good at deflecting.

Nice to see a comment appear on this forgotten video :)
no orin???
I fight her in my follow up video including all the remaining mandatory fights for the purification ending ruclips.net/video/di_ViEMU3PQ/видео.html
Okay, but like. Why would you even do that. It's like playing dark souls without rolling and blocking

Ah. An easy one today
Maybe you cna be first to do an actual no hit playthrough. The no hit community is doing no damage in this game, you can show its possible!
