You did an awesome job and made it seem so easy I was trying to find the plans In your description. Please point them out thank you again great work and great work!
When it comes to dowels, you can pick up a center finding jig fairly cheap. Or if you'd rather, you can make one. I think 3x3 custom has a plan for making one. Great video, the door looks awesome!
Nice build! Paste wax makes a huge difference for hard wood when using screws or bolts. Working with glass is always a challenge - with my luck it would shatter on me. :)
Nice door, turned out really well. I'm looking around for inspiration for our nursery renovation project. Barndoor for the closet it next. Though, I think we'll opt for poplar rather than ash, I like a little busier wood grain 👍🏽
Thanks for sharing this video. It sure is something I can make. I really love how you used trim. It gives the appearance of a floating bottom panel with the plywood. Were there any concerns about seasonal wood movement since you used pocket holes?
Just ran into this video because I want to make a front door with glass for a workshop. My question is the pocket hole jointer you used, is it enough to hold that size of a door. Just trying to find out if I can do that instead of other types of jointer such as tongue and groove that takes longer to do. Does the jointer wobble at all?
It seems to have done the job but it does get very light use where it is installed, if it’s a front door, I would suggested dowels or dominos or even half laps for the joinery
What if the glass breaks? I noticed you used brad nails. Would that be easier to use then screws to remove the trim to swap glass out in case of replacing?
How thick is the trim? Also I think you said the trim was able to come off if glass broke but I think I see you gluing it down and pin nailing. I'm getting many calls for frosted glass sliding doors , never put glass in before. Was it 2x6 wood you were using?
So this is lumber I milled myself, so the measurements are close to a 2x6. I’m not glueing the glass I’m actually using silicone to help with shock absorption. They are still able to be replaced. I did nail the trim though
Thats a big undertaking! Looks Great! Did you need to glue the stiles and rails together or are the pocket screws enough to hold it together? Thanks for the video.
Woodworking has been a longtime hobby of mine, and recently, I've started taking on projects for clients. Determining the right price can be a challenge. I've received a request from a customer who wants a barn door. What would be a reasonable price for this door, excluding material expenses?
Did you put separate glass on both sides I was wondering why don’t you just put the glass in deeper so it looks symmetrical on both sides because we can’t see what the other side looks like
The cost will vary depending g on size and wood choice. Measure and then calculate accordingly. I got the glass from a local paint and glass shop, you can get tempered glass and have them cut it to your specific dimensions. I’m not sure on the double, you could give it a go
I’d say it’s totally up to your customer because there’s a pretty hefty price difference. Give them both option and explain the differences and go with what they want
I really enjoy watching your video
Thank you! I appreciate that
I guess you will tackle anything! Great build. Makes me want to build something with glass now.
Hi Brandi....that is one big kick ass door....beautiful work....Take care...stay safe....
Thank you 🎉😊

Just reattached them to the description, they are more of a measurement list less descriptive plans.
So funny watching you step over trash bags and stuff on the floor while trying to work. That is SO MY LIFE TOO. ☺️
hehe, I sure work messy lol
❤ Love it, nice work. You make it look simple
really nice work and thank you for taking your time to create this video. absolutely fantastic door!
Thank you very much!
Looks amazing. I need to build a few barns doors for my house very similar to this. Thanks
I am guessing this will be a sliding door. Looks absolutely beautiful 😍
My gosh that is absolutely beautiful 😍
Thank you!!
Really really nice door
Thanks! Its a beast! haha
You are hardworker. I love your work. You got subscibed.
Thanks for the sub!
Beautiful door, Brandi! And that color...!
Thank you! It was a cool project

Good Finish & very Beautiful👍

Yeah I actually have one 🙌🏼🙌🏼 I think I just need more practice and I didn’t have time with this one, but that’s great tip! Thank you
Nice build! Paste wax makes a huge difference for hard wood when using screws or bolts. Working with glass is always a challenge - with my luck it would shatter on me. :)
Haha I was so nervous!
Very nice a lot of work
Great video. Why should hardwood not be laid on the floor?
So beautiful!
super nice job
beautiful job. congrats
Looks great
Glad I found u.. ty!😃
Yay! Thanks for being here
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Hi! Do you have a video of how you set up your compound miter saw and extensions on the dresser?
I don’t have one for that yet! I have a few other miter bench plans on my website but not this one yet
@@EternalHarvestDecor Ok. I will look for those. Thank you.

Yeah that would be super pretty with poplar
Nice
Very impressive.
Great video. You really should use pre stain conditioner before any stain especially with that thick valurathane.
Tha is for watching, I’m not a fan of the pre stain, I never like the look when I use it personally.
Thanks for sharing this video. It sure is something I can make. I really love how you used trim. It gives the appearance of a floating bottom panel with the plywood. Were there any concerns about seasonal wood movement since you used pocket holes?
Thank you! Glad it’s her helpful! Since I used dried hardwood and it will be indoors so I wasn’t too worried about movement.

Awesome
What bit on the router did you use for the glass?
1/4” straight bit
What if the glass breaks? I noticed you used brad nails. Would that be easier to use then screws to remove the trim to swap glass out in case of replacing?
I actually just used pin nails and yes the idea is to remove the trim swap out the glass and replace the trim 🙌🏼🙌🏼
This is just awesome, nice Job. This is exactly what I was looking for as an idea for my master closet. do you have any idea about the weight?
It’s heavy and I might not do it with so thick of wood next time
Amazing
Thanks!
This is beautiful 😍 I want one
Thanks so much!
Damn bad ass 👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks ☺️

Yes I used glue and clamps too
Thanks

Elegant.
How many hours did this build take?
no idea, maybe 10?
Did you put separate glass on both sides I was wondering why don’t you just put the glass in deeper so it looks symmetrical on both sides because we can’t see what the other side looks like
Wooow!!! Exelente
Perfect!!! 😍👍🏼
Great video with your cute self. Muah
Thank you 😊
@@EternalHarvestDecor your welcome,🥰
Buy the small ryobi blower
1.) How much did the whole build cost?
2.) Where did u get glass panes?
3.) Could I use the same method for double layered glass panes?
The cost will vary depending g on size and wood choice. Measure and then calculate accordingly.
I got the glass from a local paint and glass shop, you can get tempered glass and have them cut it to your specific dimensions.
I’m not sure on the double, you could give it a go
Can you show the other side of door?
It’s already gone to my customers I don’t have a picture of the back but it’s exactly the same with a little bit of trim to hold the glass in
So trim went on both sides of the door
Tempered glass or it does not matter
I’d say it’s totally up to your customer because there’s a pretty hefty price difference. Give them both option and explain the differences and go with what they want
My only concern is finding two by sixes that are long and straight and square
Yeah, I milled my own lumber but that is tricky. Sometimes a lumber yard will mill stuff up and surface the sides for not too much more
😍😍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
bad ass
Thank you!
Need a update; bet those pocket screws failed.
They are doing great thanks for asking
I admire you! Girl power! 🦾🩰The kitchen is no longer the only place for ladies!!! Great built, i definitely want to follow and subscribe!!❤️👏
Thank you!! This kind of support is the best!
I really enjoy watching your video
I'm so glad!
Awesome
