Great video. Thank you for including so much of the process and details. As a self-taught beginner and visual learner this will be my go to video when working on mine.
Excellent! Just what I need to learn as I have a double pocket door 8' x 24". I found the first one a several years ago at Habit Restore for $15 with frosted glass and installed the rollers on top for the 8 ft pocket door. Now I need the 2nd pocket door, but looked online- wow $450 and that was before inflation. So I purchased a solid (very heavy) 8 ft door from Habitat Restore $10 and need to do exactly what you showed me-cut out the middle area. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Very neat, straight edge guide on the circ.saw. and thanks for the mechanical 1.1mm pencil-that is also what I need-weary of sharpening/losing/tear away grease pens, so hope to pick that up. The trim install, the frosting of the plexi (the other is glass, but I plan to use plexi as no one will know the difference except me!) Again, great recording - I know that takes time and editing, so really appreciate you sharing your wisdom and experience with others! God Bless you!! Happy 4th of July 2024 - God bless and save America!
Fun to watch you make a glass insert to your pantry door… the personalized door graphic was great addition. I want to do the same to my door! Great video that inspires…
thanks, that's helpful in a lot of ways. but especially your treatment of the glass/plexi and how to hold in and finish. (trying to put together a solution for bifold doors to block off part of the house and it's a weird sized opening, and custom is *ridiculous* expensive. i don't need anything fancy, just a barrier, and letting light through would be nice.
Great work. I'm currently doing something similar with an old built in ironing board cabinet that I'm turning it into a wine rack. I have the rack itself done and now I'm just waiting on the custom glass for the door. Originally I planned on securing the glass with trim like you did but the door won't be painted and I couldn't find any trim at a reasonable price that would match the door. (The door is walnut) Now I'm going to use some of those plastic glass panel retainers that you screw around the border. Also it sucks that every door used in houses nowadays is hollow core.
Cabinets can display anything. Nobody but nobody addresses the issue of shop dust covering the French cleat items. Cabinets with sliding doors will solve the problem. No back to cabinet. Hang French cleat items in cabinet. Use lexan panel for visibility. Your thoughts. Better yet build one and make the video!!!! Thx Bruce. Cleats and Cabinets ( sort of like root beer and ice !)
Hopefully I’m not responding too late, I wish I could see it? so I could help you out. If you could tag me in a pic on social media. I would appreciate it.
I wish someone would make a video on how to REMOVE the ugly motif on my pantry door. It’s so dated with a ‘70s theme and I just hate it. But I can’t afford a new door.
Finally someone who explains the process perfectly! Great job!
What a sweet husband you are that is an excellent idea You did a great job!!🎉
Quarter molding! I have been so perplexed at how to secure the plexiglass! (Sounds like a simple solution, but I had no idea!) Looks great!

Curious to what thickness of Plexiglass you need for this? Great video with details!

Thank you for the comment. This is the reason I keep on making videos
Excellent Video, gave me a clear idea how to add plexiglass to wood
Useful! Wish you'd show exactly what materials are needed to make the stencil. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the vid. Where did you get the plexiglass and how thick was it? Thinking of doing the same for our house.

Great detailed video 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I'm about to revamp my laundry room and this is a great idea
I would love to see the finished result. See if you can tag me on social media.
@A Maker's Journey I followed every step....lol it took some work, but I finished, and it looks great. How do I show you the finished look?
Love it, unfortunately, I know I wont be able to recreate this. .....lol
Nice work! Looks good!
Damn, that turned out pretty nice!

Gracias muy buena explicación
Looks awesome, thanks for sharing
No silicon needed to the glass? Does it make noise inside frame when you clise it?
Awesome job!!
thanks
Great job wish I could find the ruler that gives you straight edge
Lol, they are out there
What is holding the plexiglass
And what is the thickness
I appreciate if you can share this

Like a pro
Is spray frosted glass waterproof?
How was the plexiglass secured?
Perfecta puerta.
I don’t understand molding. I go to homeDepot and get lost. For example, that didn’t look like corner molding., l-shaped. And what nails did you use?
I cant get my trim to fit for the edging 😫

Might want to turn your radio off
To me before was better.
