    This is by far the best looking window in a solid door install I’ve seen. I love that it has built in blinds for privacy and durability! Good job

    If doing on a solid wood door do you think it is ok to cut through the other side versus turning over and cutting again?

    • @TheAwesomeOrange
      @TheAwesomeOrange  6 месяцев назад

      It could work. But if using a jigsaw just have to be careful of the blade bending and it not cutting straight. I’d probably use a circular saw on wood door for most of the cut and finish the corners with a jigsaw. 🍊

    You’re gonna regret those blinds. Had our french doors with blinds for a little over a year…blinds are a hot mess. 😩
    But thank you for showing me how easy it is to add a new window frame to my front door! I hate the oval shaped one in there now. I may even just see about kits for the french doors, too!

    Awesome. Great job, it came out great! Just installed a doggie door, now it’s time for a window. I drilled a pilot holes all the way through (with a speed square as a 90°guide) and used a longer Bosch jigsaw blade as my m12 instructions manual says to make sure the blade passes through the entire material being cut.

    • @TheAwesomeOrange
      @TheAwesomeOrange  5 месяцев назад

      Nice! Just go slow with the jigsaw and let the blade do the work, because the longer blade can flex and leave your hole on the bottom side of the door off. 🍊

    Your suppose to blow off the screw covers and just leave that little pack of covers laying
    Around until the painter shows up in a few months . That way you never can find them and have to order more from the supplier. Real rookie move doing it right.

    2 quick questions:
    1) Can you customize the dimensions of window choices on Zabitat? (like whatever HXW you want)
    2) Any suggestions for adding a window to a door with contoured design? (i.e. special cutting instructions, etc?)
    Thanks! :-)

    • @TheAwesomeOrange

      Thanks! Zabitat does have lots of different sizing, but not sure about custom sizing. And for a countries design in a door you can square up the opening and put a window in. I hope that helps. 🍊

    1:35 do you need to drill holes for the jigsaw to go through the door?
    or would the jigsaw be able to cut through? I am assuming jigsaws only cut horizontally so I thought I'd drill with a standard drill first.

    • @TheAwesomeOrange
      @TheAwesomeOrange  2 года назад +1

      Yes, you need to drill a pilot hole for the jigsaw blade to fit into. 🍊
