This vehicle has stirred interest in me. I currently own a 2011 Mazda CX7 2.3 turbo. It has very adequate power, very well built and a joy to drive especially on roads like the one up Genting. Since it may come time to change, I'm looking for a reliable and powerful SUV. I would have preferred the Rav 4 Prime but this looks like a possibility. Thanks for the review.
Mazda cx8. Man mazda to toyota cross. What a downgrade. Cheap plastic interiors and cheap panels. Bad exterior. No no. 100km 6L petrol? Heck even my new mazda 3 could do it on highway at 120kph constant. If its me i wouldn't trade off jinba ittai for this. But your money your call
@@yeaabuddy8929 It depends on how long you want to keep the vehicle. If less than 8 years can trade in with UMW for a new car. Makes sense if you have already paid the loan by then.
@@yeaabuddy8929 I have owned a Prius. There is no electronic problem whatsoever over 10 years of ownership. I clocked 150000Km from my weekly travel between KL/PG/KL. Only the scheduled maintenance services and wear and tear for mechanical items like shock absorbers (one change only) from my ownership experience. The hybrid battery was replaced at 120000Km under warranty at no cost.
Uncle, Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid does not have paddle shifter or manual tiptronic to reduce gear in the uphill road or to overtake truck in the high incline road, does it have a problem with that or not ?

It is a mechanical parking brake. 1. Lower maintenance 2. Does not require hands 3. Gives your left foot exercise 4. Frees up space on your centre console so you can put more rubbish there
Underpower, might as well buy ICE type SUV with powerful torque and runs eco mode. This hybrid runs like a big SUV on eco mode. However with those type SUV u can run on sports mode to get more power. Here you are limited, not sure why Toyota make this choice

Truth and critism must be openly shared and expressed so we can hell aid the automotive industry This is why Toyota is losing ground to Honda and its competitors. Infotainment not up to par. Of course Toyota USP is reliability.. I'm so pissed because I really want to buy the Cross.. BUT.. Toyota is making it hard for me to accept all the shortfalls.. Older engine, to even other markets.. Forcing me to wait for HRV haha

Its a toyota, most people probably driving it for 10+ years and for most of the time toyota cover the full hybrid system for 8 years i think
