Sunny Bhai Z5 Premium renders UI at 1080p while XZ Premium renders UI at it's 4K, that's why you can play 4K RUclips on XZ Pre but not on my Z5 Pre

Now using S7 Edge and Z5 Premium, seriously I never break my Xperia Z and Z2 compact glass in any surface I dropped it

considering it has expandable sd slot, water resistance, a head phone jack, that 4K HDR display. it would be totally overkill for all the top end smartphones but too bad, consumers would still be unsure to make the change cos they are used to the phones they used like lets say, IPhones or most predominantly Samsung users.
Was once a samsung android user and now a Sony user, i must say that it was an excellent choice made besides some functions that i wish was present in sony from samsung but different companies have their different choices of doing their products software

XZ Premium from where I'm at can be had for as low as USD$599 at the moment without freebies, I couldn't wait so got mine on day one. So far very little complaints, but with the ones I do have hopefully can be fixed with a future software update.
has there been updates yet? Bought mine yesterday
XZ Premium night shots are bury & dark, almost unusable in some instances. There have been 2-3 Android updates, security patches & minor fixes of Sony apps, but little to no improvement on camera & audio functions unfortunately.
That is disappointing. I took a gamble on Sony over Oneplus that quality would win in the end. I guess we will have to see what happens and hope for the best!

Ms low is the 4k noticeable compared to QHD, like same content when viewed on say S8 when turned up to QHD? I think note 7 already kicked off HDR screens on mobile right, after that most phones are using HDR screen right?

Sony should go the route of Samsung with OLED & like many Chinese OEM's do now a days, Sony needs it to be Google's day dream VR compliant though Sony probably isn't interested in this development of their mobile devices. This burn in issue of OLED displays is no longer a problem since there has been major advancements in it's development since, Sony should embrace OLED technology.

Yut Ki Heung personally it does for me, and I think it matters a lot for a good number of the public (otherwise manufacturers wouldn't be trying to one-up each other in the screen to body ratio).
Sean Patrick Perfecto Seems like it's personal preference like really. For example RUclipsrs like Erica Griffin actually like bezels...I do as well, you can hold onto it watching videos, playing games without covering the screen and the protective structure is less prone to any serious damage by drops.
Front Facing speakers fill the blank space, so it does for me. Yeah design is older but functional and classy imo.
Dongkyu Lee completely agree. It's a matter of preference. I just felt that with all the talk about reducing the bezel, it kinda felt like the elephant in the room. Might be just me.

Well this is what Sony denies to the public outrage from the consumers who complain about this alarming issue in the official Sony Xperia Forums. The wide angle lenses from this camera are incapable of taking images adequately when compared to other flagship mobile competitors. It is believed that inherently this is caused by hardware issue and Sony is conspiring to hide it from the masses. Google "Sony XZ Premium Distortion" to learn more. Thumbs up if anyone of you here agree with me.

Distortions can easily be fixed with software, but you can't fix a low resolution image caused by low resolution sensor.
