Iv got a Xperia XZ2 Premium and this works flawlessly now.. No issues with Sony dialer or loss of info between multitasking apps. It could well be a issue with physical screen size or a possible limitations with SNAP dragon 835 chipset I personally feel it could be a limitations with screen size that causes the dailer to crash. Their is a battery drain running 4k all the time but nothing as much as the previous XZ Premium model. However XZ2 Premium does have even higher killer specs than XZ Premium much bigger ROM.. ✌️
Some games get crashed/forced close/lagging such as: Lineage II Revolution, Onmyoji Arena, Exos Heroes, Gear.Club, The Legend of Neverland. Gunbound M smaller size icon. . But run smooth on Media Social apps. Sometimes got restart too.
This phone should get the ability to change resolutions and have a built-in night light filter. S7 edge is older and received that ability through an update. Take note, sony.
I did this and had it running for about a year, do not do it, it just causes lots of crashes whilst scrolling thru ebay items etc, and tbh you will not notice any improvement, you need a much larger screen to notice 4k unless you have superhuman eyesight, plus it does add extra drain on the battery (less than a day), I changed mine back today.
On the flip side of this, what about using constant 720P and just upscaling when going to RUclips/Amazon Prime etc? Can only wonder if the XZ Premium could match the XZ1 Compact battery life in some regard.
just set the size back to 1080x1920 not 1920x1080 I made that mistake and it was very funny how the screen looked hahah, also then go to settings>screen>screen size and change it so the layout comes back to normal, no need to factory reset, and my phone appears to be completely normal again
AndreiSmantana _ My heaviest usages is from streaming music 7hrs a day (including basic phone task, email, text social media, calls) when I get home I'm at about 45-50% battery life. On the weekends I get an easy 2 days because I'm no longer streaming music and with light to medium phone use.
Did you notice that the pixel density should be 807 ppi but it is still 403 ppi which means you still see the same thing!!! There is no change with what you see. Don't mix dpi with ppi. Could anyone find a way to fix that? I did the same thing with my Z5 Premium and my ppi changed from 401 to 806 and what I see dramatically changed (super detailed videos) but on my XZ Premium the ppi did not change and I see the same thing.

I bought this phone because of the 4k resolution. But I think I just got scam by Sony since it runs 1080p only. Even I copy any 4k video from my pc it can't play properly. Sad Sony.

How did you do it. I I put in the USB cord in the computer, plugged in my phone then turned on USB debugging. Put adb devices and it's not recognizing my phone. All it says is LIST OF DEVICES nothing more. Help!
If you change your res to 1800x3380 everything works. It's not 4k but still sharper then qhd

I have 4k display all the time on the us red version, the trade off of the finger print sensor is worth it.

So basically don't do it because it'll kill your battery life.
User USER it will affect battery life. However some people dont't mind the change in battery life . For me, I prefer to have the longer battery life 👍
