- I thought this video might be helpful to some people. I've never done a clean reinstall of Mac OS X Lion over the internet without any physical media. Heres my experiences. Hope it helps you guys out as well. Enjoy! Rate, Comment, & Subscribe. Thanks.

You make it so easy. Simple and fun, thanks so much. I wish my sales staff could talk like you do.
If you get a error saying “Can’t download the additional components needed to install Mac OS X.” All you have to do is shut down the computer again, and when you turn it back on and as soon as you hear the chimes just press Command Options and R (At the exact same time) the start up should look newer and give you a more updated recovery page.

Awesome! Thanks for this :). Had problems re-installing from original installation disc, from thumb drive and the only thing that saved me was the internet recovery option. Computer installed and updated and up and running! Thanks again!

will it continues download the file after i lost the internet connection once in a while, or it start from beginning? I ask this because it take more than 11 hours to download this file T-T, I don't know how can you get your connection that fast (3 hours)???

Today on 25th Sept, 2015 i followed the steps as displayed in video. While clicking "Install" at last, the screen shows "This item is temporarily unavailabl, Try again later"............Any suggestion please ?? how can i install OS X to mt mac ?

So basically, I was doing command+r and it didn't work, I tried command+option+r and it successfully downloaded

I dont know why i did the same thing, but when i try to reinstall mac os, it tells me to restart it every time, i did so, but every time, nothing happened, instead, there would be a flashing folder showing up.

How can you reinstall the OS if the recovery goes straight to internet recovery only? I tried to erase and reinstall, but does not give the screens you have here? It is second hand laptop.
