Bro u live the life that's awesome! I just went down their for a couple days to try and catch some lobsters lol. Didn't do to good came back empty but it was still fun searching for em. Awesome vid bro🤙🏼👊🏼😎
Why don’t you just hang ‘‘em in the freezer for 20-30 min and put them to sleep rather then stabbing them? Also do you remove the poo tube as it looks like you didn’t, if you don’t, why not?
Growing up in Florida I can tell you the younger generation can really benefit from your channel. I am almost 60 and you teach me something in every video. The cooking part is just an added bonus. Cheers.
Thanks for allowing me to expand my knowledge of mother Earth's bountiful offerings. You are a true steward of the aquatic pantry. Keep them coming ..... 😁
I had a yellow lab that went fishing with me all the time. He ended up liking shiners, he got so excited when i caught a net full. he would not stop eating them! LOL one day while camping on an island by the skyway, i got up and left for fishing. i had my back to the campsite, but i was about 200 yards away. I caught a nice trout and I heard my wife screaming. I looked up and here came Cala. he swam all the way to me, I loaded him in the boat and fed him a dozen shiners. I miss that dog. enjoy having a dog like that, i did for about 12 years.
Man, it is to admire your respect for these creatures and how you treat your hunt with regard and professionalism. I've seen videos from this 2022 mini-season of some characters grabbing lobsters by hand, flattening them, and tearing them apart before they even know if it's a female with eggs or an out-of-measure juvenile lobster. Once again, my respect goes out to you!
Another 5🌟 episode! Who else is tilting their head to look under the rock ledge for the lobster as it comes onto the screen 😂 I believe that stuffed lobster was good, you got the head bob of approval 🦞
Thank u Aaron so much idk how u knew but i needed something uplifting 2 see or watch or hear 2 make a bad day into something that gave me Joy n my 1 of my darkest days...Thank You Blessed One!

6 to 10 Mule deer a year in our household for many a year, and yes a guy needs to get creative with the recipes. I’m so envious right now. Living in Utah and loving seafood can become difficult on the taste buds at times. Brand new subscriber, so glad I looked to the side and saw this episode in my feed. Looking forward to checking out your material. Thank you so much for sharing and may god bless you and yours.

Aaron, you are a good man. Hard worker, providing for your family and ethical. I personally am envious of your life in the Keys. I grew up watching Flipper and always wanted to live by the ocean and dive, fish, harvest my food like you do. I’m 57 and will soon spend hopefully at least half my year in Florida. I learned to scuba dive at 40, better late than never, and will hopefully learn to spear fish at some point. When I do, I will definitely look you up for a charter and possibly one of your short guns. In the meantime, I will continue to live vicariously through your videos. Best wishes to you, Madeline and Cookin with Clams from Northern CA!
Really appreciate the kind words! Truly just hope to enjoy my life surrounded by the people i most about. And love to hear that it’s never too late! 🙏🏻
Hi Aaron & Madeline. Aaron from beginning to end this was amazing! I love your sweet dog too. I love lobster. It’s so expensive to eat in the restaurant. You are so blessed, just jump in the water and get a whole bunch. I really love the way you made them too. Gosh I was sitting here drooling watching y’all eat. I really appreciate you sharing this, I know you were very tired. I just really love your laid back lifestyle. I know you do work hard, but I guess the simplicity of your lifestyle is just so nice to get to be a part of. Can’t wait for the next one. Thanks Aaron. I love y’all bunches ♥️
Always dreamed of catching what you eat. Think you for allowing me to daydream while I eat my lunch at the office. Much jealousy🤪 and much love. Keep the videos coming my friend. Thank you for allowing the rest of us to live the dream alongside you!
Our family is grateful for your video's we have learned so much. We are first timers with many of your adventures , although my husband and I free dive our kids are on there way. We enjoy your enthusiasm and respect for the sea. Stay Safe...As they say...Fish On!
Aaron my brother from another mother!!! LOL!!! I had a real good smile when you said to Tipsy "Hey no whining, this is a happy place", and two sec later her face is in the wind, tongue out, living the life, love it🤣🤣🤣!!!, and you are most definitely right brother, this is a happy place, I know I am every time I see your vid notification pop up, Hi Madeleine👋👋👋😊, Hope y'all are doing well, the current at the start of the dive reminded me of the NYC trip, and nice catch on the second and 4th lobsters, as always stay safe, stay awesome out there👋😊👋
Just discovered your channel this past Sunday I believe. I am catching up as fast and I can ! I really, really enjoy the Zen behavior and tone of voice. A true Waterman.
Ugh, first year in over 20 I missed mini season!!! Was so heart broken, but as usual your channel brought the smiles to cover my losses lol. Keep up the great work KWW!!
Raised here in South Florida, been diving for 42yrs love to grab my Lobbies. People always want me to come and bring the Lobbies to the party. Great videos brother keep them coming
Honestly man the backyard adventures are my favorite. Your little boat is awesome. Love seeing you go out with Madeline and your friends. And definitely love watching and learning about dispatching your catches, processing and cooking. I don't know anything about seafood. Your channel is full of great stuff!
You guys are so cute. We love you both. Thanks for the positivity, education, ecology, and great s recipes. Its about the adventure, love, and stoke in the journeys. Everyone needs more people like you Aaron and Madelyn in their lives. Started the outrageous life positivity in San Diego, La Joll, CA being a surfer and fisherman with friends and stangers in 1977. Great video, Aaron. Nice bugs too. Circus? Lol! You have a way with words buddy. Wow, what a cool and calm video... Your relaxed attitude, the no show-off and controlled method of catching the crayfish is such a different angle from the others doing similar. The preparation and cooking the crayfish was nice, but where was the credit to the missus in doing the crisp green beans and mash 🤔🤔. 😏 Another nice way is to put a little bit off sea water in a bigger pot, pack some thick kelp on the bottom, maybe some small round river stones, and place the crayfish above the watermark and steam them until done. That way you don't lose a lot of flavour when boiling them in water.. Last note... The meat in the legs and head is still the best, but you know that. 😋😋😋 Thanks for the nice video. Lol I’m eating chicken salad in my big truck watching you eating lobster and crab I’m so jealous lol. The world can collapse and you will never go hungry. Love your show.
I cannot thank you enough for posting these videos. My grandfather was a commercial fisherman out of big pine. My life has not been the same since he passed and you keep those memories coming back for me.
Great video, again. Thanks for explaining your ethics and teaching us the right way to catch lobsters. Will a lobster with broken antenna survive and grow new ones, or is it a wound? I know popping off stone crab claws the wrong way will kill them so I'm curious about lobsters.
from my understanding they don't grow back, they will survive, I've never noticed an antenna in the process of growing back. the legs however i'm not sure. I've seen some with legs removed die.
Thank you, this has been one of the most enjoyable videos that I have watched. I can't emadgin what FRESH Lobster would taste like let alone fixed like you did. Thanks again.
Watching your videos makes me want to come back to the Keys. Was a lot of good days snorkeling, Fishing and hunting in the scrub by the Glades. Dang that was 5 decades ago. Tasty looking dinner. Best
Paradise !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Say your blessing !!!!!! I know that's a long day and you are tired but man that is a good kind of tired. You guys have have worked hard and you deserve it.
I think your videos are amazing! If they had RUclips 40 years ago, I would be trying to do exactly what you are doing. I love the Insight that you give on your trips. I wish you all the success in the world in this. It's a pure enjoyment to watch. Yes, I'm very jealous. I lived in South Florida for a decade when I was your age but decided on priorities of chasing women and drinking. Not that I didn't have a great time but yours is a lifestyle of awesomeness and being with nature. Keep up the great work!
Y’all really are very lucky to have found each other. You both compliment each other amazingly well and are just darn cute together. Peace and Happiness! Lobster looks amazing but you had me at “loaded mash”!
Wow! I grew up in South Florida and the keys, my family has a house on Big Pine and grew up diving and fishing. I’ve never seen someone squish the shells on a lobster tail to remove them. Learn something new everyday 😅. Love your story and your channel. I just stumbled upon it just now. Very cool!🙌🤙🍻
So cool to see you and tipsy together on the water. She definitely adds another level of cool to your already top shelf videos. Until next time brother, good luck, stay safe.🤙
Living the dream! I know what you mean! I have dive 80’ by myself. Yes very stupid but couldn’t find no one to come with me. You are so blessed with Madeleine
My wife and I so enjoyed the episode and dinner looked so good we had to build it ourselves. Loved it. We both got a chuckle out of the fingers mysteriously appearing to taste the process. Love your honesty and the kind words of advice about water safety mixed in along the way. Always a kick when we have to spell certain words around the pets at times. Keep up the good work.
Before 2009, when the bottom fell out of the housing market, I lived in KW proper. After work, as a carpenter, I'd take my little boat out, have a swim, catch a fish and cook it up - all before nightfall. I envy you. Nice Keys boat you've got there.
I lived in NE Florida for most of my life and fishing and crabbing was a big part of my life. I moved to Philadelphia about 9 years ago and really missed the relaxation of going fishing.
Love your channel. I just moved to St Croix USVI. and just recently took up spear fishing. watching your channel has gave me the courage to spear fish around sharks. I think your bad ass. keep the videos coming brother. I always learn something new.
Watching you dive on lobsters really brings back fond memories of my days lobstering. Back in those days, there was no limit but my personal limit was 20... then again there were sooo many lobsters. My method back then was to find the antennas sticking out and then approach the lobster from the backside where he can't see me. Then tickle only the antennas and he will come nearly completely out of the hole to investigate...where you can then grab him around the top. Works nearly every time back then, but then again lobsters were not menaced as much as they are now and I guess they tend to get smart.
Watched some other folk using what looked like a large sized, quite small meshed, baker's tray. Set down on 4 rocks. Couple of bigger rocks inside to weight it down. They have a few of these set over an area. Wham instant desirable crayfish hotel! When they require some, they visit what they refer to as their farm & collect! Thanks for the video!
Hello again. Went out spear fishing Saturday morning and got Mangrove Snapper 14 to 15inches. They are still in their pre spawn in small groups.yum. Take care.
As a FL resident I haven't been down to the Key's since 2005. Use to love chasing those bug's around and hearing them grunt back at me. Awesome video Aaron.
Key West Waterman, I didn't get a chance to comment on the video you did about how you ended up in the Florida Keys. That was a great story that I shared with my college age son. Hard work ALWAYS pays off in the end. Especially when you have a positive attitude. Thanks for sharing your videos. I've never been to the Keys and it's one place I have on my list of travel destinations.
Thanks so much for watching! If you have any questions please feel free!
How much would a boat outfitted like yours cost???
Also, how often do "game wardens" stop your boat to check catch and boat safety? Videos covering these encounters would be instructive!

@@KeyWestWaterman thanks!
The way you have your catch laid out on your boat, makes it look like you defeated a giant saltwater Centipede!! 😂
lol!!

Keep up the great work!
haha im giving it hell! love to hear you enjoy the videos! thanks so much!

Very cool!🙌🤙🍻
haha can't take credit for it my roommate showed me that one! thanks so much for tuning in!

thanks so much, genuinely just want to enjoy ours lives!
Keep up the good work.
lol she cracks me up! love to hear you guys enjoyed it. thanks os much for tuning in!
Before 2009, when the bottom fell out of the housing market, I lived in KW proper. After work, as a carpenter, I'd take my little boat out, have a swim, catch a fish and cook it up - all before nightfall. I envy you. Nice Keys boat you've got there.
its a good life! glad you enjoyed it, thanks for tuning in!
Awesome video and recipe. Thanks for taking me along.
thanks for coming with!
So close to 100k subs and I couldn’t be happier for you/with your content. Wishing you the best!
love to hear it! we are getting there slowly but surely!
I lived in NE Florida for most of my life and fishing and crabbing was a big part of my life. I moved to Philadelphia about 9 years ago and really missed the relaxation of going fishing.
idk how ya did it! don't think I could ever leave the water.
When you came back to the house it was like the Bat cave , super cool.
haha it never gets old! never thought of it that way!
Love your channel. I just moved to St Croix USVI. and just recently took up spear fishing. watching your channel has gave me the courage to spear fish around sharks. I think your bad ass. keep the videos coming brother. I always learn something new.
love to hear that, and glad you enjoy the videos. thanks for taking the time to share.
NO WHINING… THIS IS A HAPPY PLACE!
You should put that on a T-SHIRT LOL
Thanks for staying up late to show us your recipe. Looked amazing!
haha thanks for watching!
Works nearly every time back then, but then again lobsters were not menaced as much as they are now and I guess they tend to get smart.
it sure has changed! love to hear you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the video!
thats a good way to end up in jail down here.
Hello again. Went out spear fishing Saturday morning and got Mangrove Snapper 14 to 15inches. They are still in their pre spawn in small groups.yum. Take care.
they are out there! thanks for watching!

This dish looks fabulous……talk about farm to table……you earned yourself a new sub here Aaron!

As a FL resident I haven't been down to the Key's since 2005. Use to love chasing those bug's around and hearing them grunt back at me. Awesome video Aaron.
haha love to hear it! dont think it'll ever get old!
Thanks so much 🙏🏻 love to hear you enjoyed it
