I got emerald for my 9th birthday in 2005, and it quickly became my favorite game ever. I was pretty much living with my grandma at the time, and we had to buy headphones because the music and game scared her LMAOO. Rip grandma, ill never forget the memories ive made with you and for blessing me with this game. Thank you to the uploader as well for helping us all rediscover the tranquility that is childhood
I don’t remember when I got Emerald, but I’m enjoying this video because it’s also nostalgic for those of us whose first game was Ruby or Sapphire. My parents got Ruby for me in a bundle with a blue GBA and a black carrying case with Rayquaza on it to keep me occupied on my first flight when I was four years old-this would’ve been in the summer of 2004, so I’m guessing that the case was promotional material for Emerald, which hadn’t been released yet-and it did successfully hook me. The flight was miserable, and we discovered that I had bronchitis afterward, but I still had a great time with my aunts and uncles and cousins who were so kind to me, introducing me to new music and taking me to buy Pokémon figurines which partially melted because our car had no air conditioning, and I have nothing but positive feelings about that wonderful trip in the blistering heat of Nevada and California in the dead of summer. Sadly, I haven’t gotten to visit those wonderful states again in all the years since that one magical trip, but I’m hoping so much that one day I’ll have the opportunity.

@@onestepatatime158 aha same i have the emulator on my tablet It's funny how this makes me feel nostalgia while I'm still a kid still playing it for the first time Maybe we've played it in some past life and the faint memories seep through and make us sad
I actually cried. Last time I heard these songs I had a great time playing with my brother. Both sharing the Nintendo DS, having a great time, exploring. My goodness how time goes by fast.
If so many people thanked you, I guess I should do it as well. You deserve it tough, this soundtrack is really good quality, despite the fact it's that typical 8-bit type of music and the game is not the newest. I've recently played it again to remind myself how amazing it is. I am not happy with playing it on an emulator tough, I wish I had a real console in my hands :( Still, it's great to go back in time, when games where about the adventure and fun. Very simple, but oh, how enjoyable they were! Thanks again, it made my day ten times better.
If you have a 3DS you can play emerald by putting the ROM on your SD card in ".CIA" format (requires to install Luma3DS before i think.) Also you can check the romhacks like Sigma Emerald which are basically the same game but with a lot of quality of life features.) (sorry if m'y english is approximative, I'm french. ^^ )
My dream is to make an Emerald v. extension, so it's the same game, but longer story an I'm gonna add the delta episode. Imagine the delta episode in a GBA style. It's gonna be sick (I hope)
I don't think any other game soundtrack creates the same feeling of nostalgia in me as this does. It wasn't even my first pokemon game, it's just really really good
I literally come to this ost for this music lol it’s one of my favorite Pokémon tracks of all time. Matches Wanda and that dude that reunites when you get rock smash if you remember that lmao
Man... Those videos are good AND bad. You like the music and you feel nostalgic... At the same time you are sad because you remember the days when you and yours friends went together outside to play in that little portable console.... That console and this game made are childhood. What a time.
The only pokemon game I spent over 400 hours playing until the game said: Dude you're too addicted, the cartridge battery is empty. Emerald is love, Emerald is life
Oldale theme brings back some of the most confusing memories. I was 16 and was spending a couple of weeks in the cardiology department outside of the (not even that one where I live) city, due to prepare for my heart surgery. I was also struggling with deep depression from all of the things that stacked throughout these years and a break-up. Had nothing to do but play Pokemon Emerald and then this theme kicked in. Fell in love with it immediately, since it was the only thing that was giving me hope at that moment. Even though all of this has been left behind and literally nothing is the same in my life now, this particular song still gives me that warm, comforting feeling.
8:35 is what you guys waiting for I remember counting on my Blaziken on any gym, and conquer them all... I miss this game, it brings back memories of my childhood
The real winner is you for not monetizing the soundtrack that's not yours but still putting in the effort to present it this way for peeps, hats off :)
It feels so nice to read the comments and see how much people felt the same with this amazing soundtrack😢. Thanks for uploading with tears in my eyes ❤
I'm 24. Last week, I found my old Gameboy Advance SP in my basement.. with Pokemon Emerald in it. I switched it on and well... I saw my team and suddenly all these beautiful memories of my childhood came back. Crazy how a game can get you emotional even after so many years. Now I'm traveling through Hoenn again, and I love it just as much as I did all these years ago.

Dude, THANK YOU for finally providing a high quality download for this soundtrack!! Everything else I found was all crackly and nasty and terrible, and no matter where I looked it always seems to be that level of terrible. Thank you, *thank you*, for this, brother!!
i still got it.. after 18 years i searched it on ebay and step by step i found all : gameboy sp, pokemon emerald and the charger (separately) touching it and do "new game" is something i just cant explain
100 times better than OR/AS remixes, imo. Also 1:43:20, Mount Pyre theme is probably my favorite music in all the Pokémon series, so much feelings in it.
I'm all with you about the OR/AS versions. I think a lot of potential has been wasted. There are a few nice OR/AS music pieces but I genreally don't like the way the music has developed in the 3DS titles. They kinda sound to modernish/electronic (well, not all of them) and the production on most track is quite poorly done. This gives me an idea about a video I could do but I'll need to think about that for a while.
I urge everyone listening to this soundtrack to get an emulator on your phone and play this game again! It's so nice to get away from adult life at work on my breaks by playing this. It's always with me on my phone now, and I never thought I'd see the day it was that convenient and customizable.😭
@@rosemariesy4855 I'd do a Google search of "gba emulator for iphone". You'll need to have the Pokemon Emerald game downloaded on your phone as well, so that you can play it on the emulator.
This is an amazing remaster. I can even hear the distinct chiptunes underneath! I've never heard these tracks in such high quality, even on the GBA. Thank you.
The composers seriously WENT HARD went SUPER HARD on this one NO IM ACTUALLY SERIOUS, literally EVERY single track in this game is a GREAT, Not a single bad or unmemorable track, everything is GOOD, i could listen to any Track of this game for HOURS, ALL OF THE TRACKS ARE MEMORABLE IN THIS, the Route themes, the battle themes, the victory themes, the credits theme, the town themes the city themes EVEN THE CONTEST theme goes hard EVEN THE ENCOUNTER THEMES GO HARD, LIKE WHAT??? JUNICHI MASUDA AND ICHINOISE ARE GODS
Hearing the first note of Littleroot Town's ost took me to a nostalgic trip. Also gave me the feeling i felt playing the game inside my first and childhood home
I have never played Emerald, but Hoenn were my first games (2017, I’m a rather new fan.) I will never forget being so excited, running around the routes. I’m buying Emerald soon and boy am I excited to relive that.
I started playing pokemon on 2018 and became so addicted i played over 500 hours and also kept bugging my friends to buy it lol it was the most amazing experience ever and i would trade almost anything to get those 3 years of me being a pokemon fantic back i am even crying writing this lol
Brings memories still, i remember catching Latios on the toilet and i caught it with an ultra ball i really thought that was the sickest thing i ever done in my life
i remember catching rayquaza in my first great ball after using ALL my 99 ultra balls on him, it took like 2 hours and when i caught him i thought my game was hacked or something. Also caught mewtwo with my 4th dusk ball in soulsilver and it gave me the same feeling. god i miss this game
I don’t have any nostalgia for the ending credits because I never came close to beating the game as a child, lol. I only finished it a couple of years ago, more than a decade and a half after I started. 4-year-old me made a lot of mistakes that I had to overcome, since I resumed that same old save file, but it was worth it, because I felt this connection all the way to my roots, my earliest memories. They may just be bits of data, but those specific Pokémon were so dear to me before I even became me, and I’m glad to still have them with me.
I don't know why this came up in my recommended. I started tearing up when 00:55 came around. I couldn't tell you why. I've had nostalgia before, but it was never so bittersweet. I don't know this came up in my recommendations, but I'm glad it did.
This is just a testament to the japanese attention to detail. They literally went all out with the soundtrack on a kids game. Awesome stuff. Best pokemon soundtrack in my opinion!!!!
I didn't know I'd memorized that music but i have I've won too many battles (As of yet have lost 4 the whole game but I'm challenging elite four again soon so that may change Wish me luck :) )
Ah. The nostalgia. Thank you. I appreciate you for uploading my childhood. (I was 12 when I started Emerald. It was my very first Pokémon game and I still own it to this day.)
I LOVED the surf music so much so there was no such thing as too much water for me in HOENN I would just sit in the water and listen to the banging music for hours!
Fanart by ishmam: ishmam.deviantart.com/art/Rayq... Download: mega.nz/#!u5QyyK5Q!zNtvcS0xPU... Composed by Juni'chi Masuda, Go Ichinose, and Morikazu Aoki
I love this too, For me it has a Christmasey vibe to it. Like when we were children and the hype that would build up to Christmas day and seeing your cousins and family. Eating warm food and , of course, battling them Pokemon with siblings and cousins alike on the TV with Pokemon stadium
Note to self: Not all songs from a game once loved will give the same feeling. With some of these songs I still feel the rage of having to restart in specific towns and stuff even after all these years.
As a kid I used to put my advance SP on the windowsill and go to sleep listening to the music of route 113. I though it was pure magic. The days before phones, I had an mp3 player but of course that didn't have Pokémon on it. I just wanted to close my eyes and imagine being up there, in the mountains, with the ash softly falling, listening to that breathtaking soundtrack
What I'd give to turn back time and be a young boy again playing this for the first time, hearing the song for Littleroot for the first time, deciding who to pick as my starter. Days like these, I look back upon those moments of travelling through Hoenn with my little Mudkip as the happiest hours of my childhood.
We did it boys! We have grown up! Some of us nearing 30s, some 40s. We have seen a lot in that time. Lived a lot in that time. We may forget the times we smiled playing this masterpiece as we age, but these songs in our heads will take us right back to that first time booting this game up. Cheers to all!

Bass in Sinnoh is very prominent, if not better! Specially on battle themes. I am a bassist and i am happy seeing some recognition!

It's 24:14 for me. All of these are fantastic, but when I think of Emerald, this is the music I hear.
Mystery, power, greatness
*Emerald was and will forever stay the cutest and the BEST pokemon's game in my opinion... a fcking well constructed masterpiece...just hear the soundtrack to think it guys*

I want marry a Pokémon fan like me

I actually cried. Last time I heard these songs I had a great time playing with my brother. Both sharing the Nintendo DS, having a great time, exploring. My goodness how time goes by fast.
Hope you and your brother are doing well
@@christineluv1028 Thank you so much. He is doing very well. Have a nice day!
I only started Pokemon in highschool learning of romhacks about 9 years ago
the closest you can get with playing the game on a real console is having the emulator on your phone Imo.
Yeah, but mine would be the cheapest method while also getting close to how it originally felt anyway.
Which country or region do you live, I can Help u
It seriously is such high quality! Makes me really curious how it's done so faithfully, as the original rips have the signature GBA crust.
First Pokémon game I’ve ever played. It still remains my favorite till this day. Though I will admit that it’s because of my nostalgia for it.
I felt like the only one who had Emerald instead of Ruby/Sapphire
Emerald is the definitive version of gen 3 games
I would personally pick Emerald than Ruby and Sapphire
Yooo same
i had sapphire ooop. but i thought everyone else had emerald lmao :,)
Your not alone on that. I say emerald is the best version, the animations, and the overall complete it felt. :)

How do I get one in my iphone?
@@rosemariesy4855 I'd do a Google search of "gba emulator for iphone". You'll need to have the Pokemon Emerald game downloaded on your phone as well, so that you can play it on the emulator.

Man the ending credits for this game get me emotional, such a beautiful game. I took my childhood for granted.
*I played the Remakes, now it would be nice to go back in time and have this childhood again.*
Ending Credits (2:21:46) still make me emotional (17 years later).
And when they show your starter as the last Pokémon… it always hits hard
Right. The main culprit of dark circles and eyebags. Sleepless gaming lol I cry too
