This combines all the fanfares, extra crystal tracks, and everything in the game into one soundtrack ordered by when each track occurs in the game most of the time. There is some reverb added to make it sound like the official OST CD of RBY. This time the soundtrack is in high quality stereo unlike most of the other ones uploaded, and is actually complete unlike most of the other ones uploaded, and doesn't have duplicate tracks like most of the other ones uploaded. So now you can have one that's actually, for once, complete.

I never lived the early 2000s but I understand why people are nostalgic for this game. Played it on emulator on my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and it was kinda good for being over 20 years old. It was also the first Pokémon game I completed the story of. I never experienced this game when nostalgic technology peaked, but I still love it so much. My second fav Pokémon game and 7th or 8th fav game overall. Shame you can't catch Ampharos on Crystal though. But still, truly a goated game. Now I'm Replaying HG on my 2DS XL but this time I chose the water starter

In the year 2000 I was 11 years old. After untold hours on Pokémon Blue, I ventured into this masterpiece. When crystal came out with the moving Pokémon, big oof.

When you see comments like this, it makes me wonder why people get flack for *playing a game meant for kids* or whatever. It's like, I grew up with this game, and always have a place for it. The music, the time of life at the time, the growing of a real love for a game. Pokemon was never just a fad, its lived on, but the games have changed, and I'll always remember the 1st 3 generations.
@Greynold Godrig Yes, you must be slightly older than me, because I have the same feelings for Gen 4 and 5 (I'm 22).
I don't really like Gen 1, however I really like Johto because of the soundtrack and map. Gen 3 is okayish, I don't really like the layout of the map. Gen 4 (especially Platinum and HG/SS) is awesome. Gen 5 is also really good. I actually don't know if the best gen in my opinion is 4 or 5. Gen 6 is okayish (pretty much the same as Gen 3, maybe a tad lower). I haven't really liked Gen 7, and I haven't plyed Gen 8 except for BDSP (I had to buy theses games just for the soundtrack :D).
If I had to make a ranking, it would probably be 7=1

God, I remember playing Crystal version a lot, just to escape a little bit of my reality. In 2001 I moved to a different city, and I was so young and shy that I didn't make new friends so easy. Those were kinda hard times, but Pokémon was my lifesaver. I loved this game a lot.

Listening to these songs and thinking back to when I used to play these games has me in tears right now. Life used to be so simple, wake up go to school, after a long day just come back and play some Pokemon.

Hell yeah, catching the scyther in the bug catching contest was so cool. Especially since I was always irritated at how hard it was to find/catch one in the safari zone in red version. I was so happy I was able to get one in silver easier and it was fun because it still was a challenge. That sound unlocked a core memory!

I'll never forget beating the elite four for the first time and then was met with hey look, 8 more gyms and an entirely new area. I didn't play the first games in order but Gold led me down a path I've basically never strayed from. Long live Pokemon.

Anyway this is my childhood. I finally could read. At the beginning in Pokémon Red I couldn't read and I needed help from my brother. And when I came to school I replayed it and I enjoyed it. And then this game came over and I was so blown away from it. Sure I was a child but these memories are precious like the soundtrack! I had my adventures and was so excited when I encountered a Wobbuffet or a Misdreavus for a first time. My brother on the other hand liked Lavitar very much. I thought it was cute until it evolved and then I was amazed like my brother when it evolved again... Yeah... That was a good time back then.

Everything in this soundtrack sounds so good and almost mystical, never cease to entertain me. 2nd gen is one of the most important artistic creations I've experienced in my life, it is a real antidote for sadness and bad moods.
You know, I normally don't save OST videos to a playlist because I can always find several uploads of what I'm looking for just by searching the name. But this video is an exception just because of all the Ditto going bonkers.

Generation 2 was the best pokémon games of all time. It was the only time we ever got a sequel and a remake at the same time. The music score is incredible And I have to admit as much as I love red blue and yellow it's something about generation 2 that makes it more superior and nostalgic

When I went back and replayed this game as an adult this song was literally the reason why. Literally one of the best ever written. So weird it’s in a Pokémon game. Go listen to it on piano. It’s beyond beautiful.

The ending credits got me tearing up. I felt like I was that kid again during 6th grade again finishing the Pokémon League with my Thunderpunching Kadabra.

I was 8 years old when this game came out, I used to play Red version until then but I didn't have my own copy, a friend from schools lended it to me, Crystal was the first Pokemon game I actually owned, and you can only imagine the hours I spend on this as a kid, so many years later all those melodies are engraved in my brain :D thanks for this blast from the past

A whole new Jhoto region is one thing, but to explore the whole Kanto region as well battle Red himself is another thing.
