I personally love the music in this game in comparison to breath of the wild, this feels more zelda'ish! I wish Nintendo picked up Windwaker and brought it over to the switch with physical release!. sigh

Even though I was born in 2011, my dad had me grow up with Zelda. The first game I ever played was twilight princess, and from then I played wind waker, skyward sword, ocarina of time, and even the original on the NES. So even though I’m not old, I can understand the nostalgia from when I was 7😊

I've listened to this playlist about 10 times. As I come back, I've developed a true affinity to WW Music. There is something more delightful and complete about the pieces in Windwaker, esp when compared to Ocarina of time(my childhood game).

I was eight when wind waker came out and I remember my best friend at the time were obsessed. It’s been 3 years since his passing and everytime I hear the music or play the game I can’t help but think of my friend and get a little teary eyed

One regret I have is not getting into Legend of Zelda sooner since I only got into it last year. It's my favorite game series so far even though I only played breath of the wild, tears of the kingdom, skyward sword, and wind waker. I still want to try more games like ocarina of time, Majora's Mask, and twilight princess. I do like this mix btw.

As someone who's never really played Zelda games I really love these vids. The music is wonderful & I get to imagine the worlds I haven't gotten to experience yet. Someday, when I'm financially stable, I'm gonna get a Switch, dive into Zelda & Mario, and really experience what it's all about firsthand!

I remember opening up my first ever Zelda game. It was Christmas, 2011, and I had gotten a 3DS and the Ocarina of Time remake as the only game. I turned it on and I was instantly enthralled. I played and played and played until I had beaten the whole game before school started again. I’ve been a fan ever since

The one thing I loved about tarrey towns theme was the more you upgraded it the more instruments joined the theme first with the gorons then the Zora then the rito and finally the gerudo

I had 2 friends who played zelda with me and even though we couldnt play together we still had so much fun I got botw in 2020 and we played all day and now I've played totk links awakening windwaker and even though Im young it brings back so much for me thank you for this, this series will be forever timeless and I hope the newer generations grow up with zelda just like me.

The zelda series has been woth me since i was born. My first game was spirit tracks and it came out the year i was born. So much nostalgic with all the game tracks
You might want to look out, someone by the name of Xonodeh uploaded basically the exact same music, like it starts on the exact same part of where you start on from the first song, and also it's the exact same order, exact same length, the only difference is that their video has a different art. I don't know if you can really do anything, since this is Nintendo's music, but that's kinda messed up to take the exact same video and just put different art. They made the video a month after yours. I'm not sure if you both took it from somewhere else, but from what I see is that they basically copied and pasted.

@@Retro.Zombie yea I love your mix. I am a huge Zelda music fan. I have my own playlist, and listening to this gave me one of my favorite Zelda songs, the Crimson Loftwing theme from Skyward Sword. There’s just something special about Zelda music, it has it’s own little charm to it. Whoever makes it (i forgot who it is, I think Koji Kondo?) is a very song creator and does really well. But yea your mix is great I listen to it all the time. I just think it’s kinda stupid that they took your mix and just copied and pasted it to get over 150,000 views with not even any credit. I don’t think you can really do anything tho.
I tried to leave a comment on their video asking them to atleast give credit since it’s exactly a copy and paste, and i tried to check the comments and let people know to go to this one, because that is messed up to do a direct copy and paste without even credit. it’s still kinda messed up to just copy but with credits, but it’s just a little less messed up. They have other playlists of zelda too, but i’m not sure if they copied theirs. It just sucks that you can’t do anything since this isn’t your music to begin with, just an awesome mix that I listen to a lot while playing games like Ocarina of time, Twilight Princess, etc.

I just cried a bit thinking about how I used to just play wind waker on my Wii U with my brother and everything was so easy. I was like 6 at the time and he was 10. Now he’s going to college and I know that it will never be the same. Love to you!❤

I'm seeing a bunch of people saying they miss wind waker and other classics, and i do too; I've played majora's mask, ocarina of time, wind waker, twilight princess, painted world for DS, phantom train (or whatever its called lol), four swords, skyward sword, link's awakening, and breath of the wild (i forget if i played more). If you're missing a legendary Zelda game to challenge yourself with and fall in love with Zelda all over again, I highly recommend playing Tears of the Kingdom. They reinvented the legend for a more modern setting and I was absolutely blown away with how much TOTK just felt like a real Zelda game after years of wandering through odds and ends Zelda games. Breath of the Wild feels half baked in comparison to Tears of the Kingdom! TOTK gave me a nostalgia i haven't felt since middle school playing wind waker after school before my mom would kick me outside to play. PLAY TEARS OF THE KINGDOM!!

i was born in 2007 but have fallen in love with the music and worldbuilding of Zelda. i've only played some of botw and some of a link to the past, but i'm hoping to play more games!! wind waker and OoT are definitely up there with my must-plays :D

I use my experience with WW as a way to mesure my mental evolution.
As an early teenager I hated it because I was intoxicated with the idea of serious Zelda games like MM, and I disregarded it entirely (yeah, I enjoyed TP back then, and I do greatly nowadays). I don't even understand how my mind worked back then, because playing aLTtP and OoT was an amazing experience (btw I want to point out I was a toddler when OoT was released, so shout-outs to my friends who introduced me to the franchise).
In my late teens I was into pixelart / cel-shading / cartoonish art style and picked (among others) WW again, I enjoyed it a lot , the ambience is so comfy and thoughtful, I remember the aftertaste, even a small session was more revitalizing than the morning's breeze (no pun intended).
Now I'm old and my back hurts, but the game stands as a solid masterpiece imho. The philosophical relationship between the core mechanics and the art style, the game's premise and its narrative, the music and the pacing, the technology and the implementation, and them all intertwined! Even Ganondorf had a soul on display!!!
I think Nintendo knew what we wanted back then, but we didn't.

I remember people criticizing Wind Waker's cell shade design before its launch day. I thought how silly people weren't able to see how Nintendo is a Japanese company and its anime design direction is fitting. It was so refreshing to play back then, although way different than the OOT and MM. It was also a foreshadowing of what Nintendo would do with BOTW's art direction. I'm thankful they remained true to themselves.
