As someone who's never really played Zelda games I really love these vids. The music is wonderful & I get to imagine the worlds I haven't gotten to experience yet. Someday, when I'm financially stable, I'm gonna get a Switch, dive into Zelda & Mario, and really experience what it's all about firsthand!

I remember people criticizing Wind Waker's cell shade design before its launch day. I thought how silly people weren't able to see how Nintendo is a Japanese company and its anime design direction is fitting. It was so refreshing to play back then, although way different than the OOT and MM. It was also a foreshadowing of what Nintendo would do with BOTW's art direction. I'm thankful they remained true to themselves.

I use my experience with WW as a way to mesure my mental evolution. As an early teenager I hated it because I was intoxicated with the idea of serious Zelda games like MM, and I disregarded it entirely (yeah, I enjoyed TP back then, and I do greatly nowadays). I don't even understand how my mind worked back then, because playing aLTtP and OoT was an amazing experience (btw I want to point out I was a toddler when OoT was released, so shout-outs to my friends who introduced me to the franchise). In my late teens I was into pixelart / cel-shading / cartoonish art style and picked (among others) WW again, I enjoyed it a lot , the ambience is so comfy and thoughtful, I remember the aftertaste, even a small session was more revitalizing than the morning's breeze (no pun intended). Now I'm old and my back hurts, but the game stands as a solid masterpiece imho. The philosophical relationship between the core mechanics and the art style, the game's premise and its narrative, the music and the pacing, the technology and the implementation, and them all intertwined! Even Ganondorf had a soul on display!!! I think Nintendo knew what we wanted back then, but we didn't.

My first zelda game was windwaker but for 8 yo me I was very bad at the game and needed a tutorial for everything so it's sad but i wasn't enjoying the game and I can't have this feeling of dicovery again

One regret I have is not getting into Legend of Zelda sooner since I only got into it last year. It's my favorite game series so far even though I only played breath of the wild, tears of the kingdom, skyward sword, and wind waker. I still want to try more games like ocarina of time, Majora's Mask, and twilight princess. I do like this mix btw.

Why does Zelda have me so down bad here?

I had 2 friends who played zelda with me and even though we couldnt play together we still had so much fun I got botw in 2020 and we played all day and now I've played totk links awakening windwaker and even though Im young it brings back so much for me thank you for this, this series will be forever timeless and I hope the newer generations grow up with zelda just like me.
